Climbing the final set of stairs into the corridor, Maeve was followed by a group of students. She was leading them to Ravenclaw Tower for the first time. She knew they must be very excited, it was their first glimpse of their new home. "As you can probably tell, we've walked up several flights of stairs by now. Can anyone guess where the Ravenclaw Dormitory might be?" Mae smiled and looked over the crowd of new First Year students. It had only been two years since she stood where they did. It seemed both like it was only yesterday, as well as so long ago. A lot had happened between now and then. "Don't be shy, I promise not to judge you if you give the wrong answer. It's all a learning experience right?"

The young Japanese girl followed her mentor as they climbed upstairs. Her little white ferret was skittering up ahead but not too far to be called. Keeping her eyes on the stairs Mizore listened to Maeve ask where the common room could be. "Towers? It's a tiring climb.. are we almost there?" Her body started feeling fatigued from the stair climbing. Stopping she sat down for a short break before getting up again. Her ferret had come back down all full of energy and looked at her as if she was a wimp or something. It eyed her as if beckoning her to hurry up. Mizore smiled and hurried over to him to pick him up. "You silly ferret.."

Mae beamed at the girl (Mizore) for knowing the answer. "Correct! Well done!" She knew the kids would need some rest. There were a lot of stairs if you weren't used to them. Mae had 2 prior years to adjust, this was their first day. Poor firsties don't know what a treat they're in for! She thought to herself bemusedly. "We will be getting to the Ravenclaw Tower shortly. But before we do. I would like to give you a little bit of information." It was necessary. Otherwise they might get a little lost when they reached the Common Room entrance. "Ravenclaw House is the house of 'wit and learning'. As such, we are the only common room that doesn't have a specific password. Can anyone here guess what else we might use in place of a password that would demonstrate 'wit and learning'?"

Alice was pretty excited to go on a tour with her new mentor, as well as some of her first-year classmates as well. It really would be nice getting to meet all of them better, and this would be a good starting point for that. She followed Maeve and the others as they went up the stairs. Her ILD was starting to kick in a little, she could tell. It would be lengthy and pointless to tell them all about her lung condition, but maybe she should've said a few words to her mentor about it. She trailed a little bit behind the rest, just to be safe. So far, it wasn't that bad, she was only getting a little more shortness of breath than the others, but even they seemed a little exhausted from climbing so many flights. When Maeve asked the first question on where they thought the common room was, she already knew the answer from her mother, who had been in Ravenclaw before and informed her of a few basic things before she left. Deciding to give her peers a chance, Alice stayed quiet while another girl (Mizore) answered.
While walking up, she also noticed the girl had a ferret with her. It reminded her warmly of Momiji, her own rabbit. Of course, he was less convenient to bring than a ferret would be. Glancing around, she looked at her surroundings for a bit before Maeve asked the next question, one she didn't actually know but of course volunteered to take a guess. "Hmm...a question, maybe?" she said, a little uncertain. Having answered, now would be a good time to tell her about the lung thing. Catching up a little with her, she spoke up. "Um, Mae? I kind of have a lung condition that sometimes acts up when I'm climbing stairs or running for a while. Would it be ok if we slowed down just a little bit?" Alice asked, trying to sound as polite as she could. Maybe even her other classmates might benefit from an easier pace.

"That is very close! It actually asks a riddle. You must solve it to enter the common room." She said brightly. "I'm sorry to hear about your condition. I promise the Common Room is just around the corner. We can wait here until you catch your breath." Mae smiled. The First Years would get used to all the walking eventually. But it definitely would take some time. She hoped, for this particular firstie's sake, they were able to adapt quickly.
After taking a few moments to rest. Mae turned around and began to walk. "Here we are everyone. Ravenclaw Tower." Turning to face them once more, she smiled. "In just a second, that picture will talk, it will give us our riddle. I didn't want anyone to be alarmed, so I thought I would say it before getting any closer." As Mae approached the painting, it said:
"It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter."
"Who would like to answer the Riddle?"
((Disclaimer: The answer is not really the common room password. Sorry for those trying to sneak their way in ))

Mizore thought she heard this riddle before, it had been something her dad would quiz her on before she went to bed. "Is it time? Since its been there since the beginning. I think this riddle was in the Hobbit book which my mom read to me when I was little.. it was kind of scary but I think it helped bring some more imagination in me." She chuckled hoping that perhaps they could get in by her answer. She gave the other girl a wave and wondered whether the other claws would like her or not.

Luna was excited that her cousin had been accepted to Hogwarts, but also disappointed that she wasn't a Slytherin. At least she's not a Hufflepuff, she thought. Luna wanted to surprise her cousin, so she decided to come here. Ari was very easily scared, much to Luna's delight. She walked through the hallway, where she found a good hiding spot. There were two sits of armor right next to each other, and Luna hid behind them. She found a small hole she could look through where one suit's elbow bent. Settling in, Luna looked through the hole, awaiting the arrival of her cousin.

Ari was walking back from the library where she had been spending a lot of time recently. As a new student, she didn't know many people at Hogwarts so she stuck with her age old friends - books! I love the library, but it sure would be nice to spend time with someone outside of my imagination, she thought. She was looking for her common room but had gotten lost when one of the staircases moved. I sure hope I can find my way back to my room! She closed her eyes and tried to remember the layout of the castle she had just seen while reading Hogwarts, A History.

Luna was relaxing when she heard the sound of footsteps coming near her. She slowly peered through the hole, trying not to bring any attention to her. Looking through, Luna realized that it was her cousin. Perfect! Glad I didn't have to wait too long, she thought. Luna smiled as she crouched down, ready to pounce. Wait...Wait...Now! She leapt out of her hiding spot, shouting, "HEY ARI!!!" Luna tackled her cousin, laughing as she did so. She rolled off of her cousin, looking at her to see her reaction. Luna waited to see what would happen.

Ari's reverie was broken abruptly just as she was taking a mental excursion to the kitchen for some chocolate chip cookies. "BLOODY HELL!!!" she exclaimed as what seemed like a bag of bricks toppled her to the ground. What in Merlin's name... she thought as the weight rolled off of her. She turned slowly to see none other than her cousin Luna laughing hysterically at her side. "You are SO gonna pay for this!" Ari laughed as she leapt over, tackling her cousin back on to the ground.

Luna laughed even harder as she watched her cousin's reaction. "You should've seen you face!" She said this, doubled over laughing. Luna was about to help Ari up, when she was tackled by her cousin. "MERLIN'S BEARD!" Luna screamed this as she tried to push Ari off of her. "Oh Ari, you don't even know what you got yourself into!" Luna began to tickle her cousin, loving the chance of messing with her cousin. She continued to tickle her, waiting to see her reaction.

After finding the hallway that would take him to the stairs of Ravenclaw Tower and to the door to the common room, Euno found himself lost once more; only this time, instead of physically lost, he was lost in thought. The doorknocker had asked him its question and now he had to puzzle out an answer.
Or else wait for someone else to come up and get the right answer and let him in. There was just one chance for him to try, at least that was what his cousin had told him. Euno scratched his head as he started to think of answers.
This was his first time trying to answer the question on his own, because all the other times there had been a prefect or older student around who would give the answer before he even had a chance to think about it.
Some time must have gone by though, because Euno could hear the common room within growing quieter and no one had come in or out lately... Oh no, was he past curfew? He was sitting on the steps just outside the door, and asked the doorknocker to repeat its riddle.

Right after doing some last minute stuff for her class – since she just finished passing her quills, yup – Asahi’s about to go back to the common room to take care of some claw-related things this time. With her navy robe around her body, Asahi smiled at several students who greeted her, most of them were claws considering she’s in the towers already. Lately, she noticed that her awesome clawsies are very much active and they are an arm-reach away from the House Cup. The thought brought a grin to her, considering it’s been a long time since they’d won it. Anyway, when she reached the front door that will lead her to the insides of the commons, Asahi was surprised to see a youngster sitting at the steps just beside it. Her eyes went to the eagle’s head then back to the problematic student. As much as she doesn’t want to, the smile automatically reached her face. Asahi sat beside him, waving lightly. ”Hello little buddy. What’s up?”

Asahi was not sure if the boy heard her or not but she just sat there, waiting for him to react or say something with her earlier remark. He said hello, which brought the smile back on her face but recognition passed across his eyes when he finally realized who she is. And hey, I was not clearing my throat from time to time especially when Raiden forgets something! I was more like, adding that in my own terms so nuh uh, that’s not entirely true. Grins. ”Ah, so you can’t enter the common room.” She stated, amusement dancing in his eyes although he tried real hard to keep it. ”You can do it. You’re a Ravenclaw. You’ll figure it out sooner rather than later.” She will help him, of course, if needed but well, if she’s to be honest, Asahi wanted this boy to figure it out on his own. He seems amusing, at least in her vocabulary, so she stayed there sitting, idly wondering what will happen.
”Why would you think you’re in trouble? Did you do anything bad?” Cause if he did, then yes, he’s definitely in trouble but if didn’t do anything, there’s no reason for her to do that. Asahi tilted her head curiously to look at her, interested to know who he is. ”What is your name? I’m Asahi.” Well, not that she expects him to know her. Some students don’t, really, which she doesn’t mind a bit. It takes time to know people, after all. ”How long have you been here?”

Can she safely say she knows it when someone’s lying their arse out? Asahi kept silent and just listened to him talk, not interrupting him. In her years as an auror, Asahi had met tons of people with different personalities and well, she had seen people lie because they wanted to get out of their cases. For some, she would say that they are good in lying, she’ll give them that but others were quite beginners in that aspect that’s why they’re too obvious for their own good. “At least you’re aware it’s past curfew.” She told him, shrugging. Some people disregard rules, as if they could live by their own but as long as they are here in Hogwarts, they have no choice but to follow. “What if no one arrived here to help you? Pretend I’m not here. What will you do then? Sleep right here?” Her voice was full of curiosity. Will the boy do that? Asahi was wondering but she waited before making any assumptions. Unless, of course, he goes to the hospital wing and asked the healers if he could crash for the night. Asahi remembered she did that before just because she’s annoyed at someone in their common room and she would explode if saw her again. “Is the riddle that hard? What does it say?”
The name thingy… like what she said, she knows when someone is lying and she doesn’t appreciate it when someone does that to her. Asahi was debating whether the name was true or not. Mason, eh? Seems like Asahi needs to go out more with these Ravenclaws so she would know who is who. “Mason, then.” She consented. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, young man.” Asahi smiled and glanced back at the knocker. “What will you do now?”

Richard had heard about many towers in the castle and he thought it was a good idea to to wander around them since his bedroom was in the dungeons, so, so far from this place. He had climbed stairs, waited for them to change and also was slightly annoyed since he had turned several times into corridors and classrooms he didn't recognize, so he gave up when he turned to one shiny corridor. Big windows, many of them so the place was warm and bright. He leaned against one window and was mesmerized by the sight. He could see the outside, so many trees, so many green areas and some students walking there, looking almost like ants. Rich smirked, sitting down on the edge of the window.
