Being that I'm a hairstylist, my mum gave me this to read after finishing it herself. I'm a third of the way in, and its really good. I recommend it.
The Kabul Beauty School: The Art of Friendship and Freedom by Deborah Rodriguez

This might not be everybody's cup of tea but Ender's Game is one of my favourite books, brilliant.
For a more chilled out, amusing read; And God Created the Au Pair. I would describe it as an adult Georgia Nicolson-esque book.
I think I bought Colour of Magic recently but then I moved so it could be anywhere...

I'm not an adult but I can't help not to post here. I'm a sucker of love stories so most of the books I read is something to do with it. So with that, I'm currently reading Love, Inc.
Before I used to hate reading books that got something to do with paranormals (except if it's like Harry Potter AND fairies) but now, oh goodness. I started reading EVERYTHING that people say it's good and blah blah blah. I have currently 23 books out and 74 books requested. I know it's crazy and most of them are series. With that, I'm fully book until next year of May... haha... *blush*

Just finished re-reading Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. Read almost all her novels in the Dragonriders of Pern series (all-time favorite would have to be The Masterharper of Pern). Her son, Todd McCaffrey, is still trying to continue along the same vein, but eh, I would only really recommend the stuff she'd written herself.
Also would recommend the Incarnations of Immortality series by Piers Anthony.

I need something new to read, especially as I am bedridden at the moment.
Lucija, I love the Dragonriders of Pern series, Caro got me into them, and recently finished reading A Gift of Dragons.
Just ordered the Hunger Games trilogy from Amazon

PERN!!!!!!!!!!!!
I even have the cook book, the art book, and her biography I am not a fan at all >.<
I recently finished reading for like the sixth or seveth time The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society I am addicted to WWII or post WWII books and this one happens to be done through a series of letters from different people. Its amazing and fun and the characters so endearing I have read it so much.
Currently I am reading Adventurers Wanted : Slathbog's Gold
Its like beginner D&D in writing. I personally find it EPIC and want one of the magic bags
