Coming to the fest was a no brainer for Alec. Not because of some weird ass concept that Malcolm tried to instill in them about family coming to support each other, which didn't make sense to Al because where was this family when him and Ric had spent all their time alone at home. Suddenly all of them were back and wanted to stick together, it just didn't sit well with Al. Call him protective of Ric, but he knew how much of an impact of their family's absence had happened on the both of them and he just didn't want his twin to get used to having them around and then watch him break when they leave again. The only constant they had was each other, at times Al didn't even trust Clary. But, all of this, the fest, was still a no brainer because Ric was performing. It was his brother's very first gig and Al would be damned if he ain't there to support him.
Well, that part was done. Ric's performance had gone smoothly, and quite bangin' in all honesty. The crowd was on their feet, it was awesome, and now it was over. Clary wanted to do something lame by visiting other stages while the rest of the group had other plans. For the time being, Al was trailing Clary, his face showing boredom and the expression on his face impassive with those hooded eyes. He had been drinking and he wasn't going to lie. They passed through the stands area, which was when a scene seemed to pass in front of his eyes as if in slow motion. A female, who seemed rather familiar, had taken a drink in her hand, angled it towards the person in front of her - and a flash of recognition went through his brain. And because of that flash, he did a u-turn - because if it was anyone else, he wouldn't have given a flying fuck. But here...hmmm. "See ya later, Clar.." And he had already pulled out his wand before he finished speaking, directing it at the beer that was being now flung against the man, and with a quick spell making it stop mid air, before a delicious grin made its way over his lips as he flung the liquid back towards the one and only, Olesya Chervenkova. "Sorry, princess. I guess my wand..slipped." He spoke as he walked closer, mirth dripping from his words as the man looked at him in horror, before looking back at the lady in horror - clearly not knowing how he got caught up in this. Oh he knew, she wouldn't take this kindly. But what was even the fun in her taking anything kindly. He clearly remembered her - the treehouse, the weed, and the shouting/cursing match. That was definitely one of the highlights of his Hogwarts journey. Maybe, today will be a highlight as well.

The loud music was humming in her ear. Surprisingly, it barely bothered Sia as she lightly swung her hips to the beat. The astonishment on her bodyguards' faces was way too apparent. They haven't ever glimpsed such a side to her. She bore no difficulty ignoring them as the mass enveloping her matched her spirit. The rays radiated among the crowd illumining the edges of the drunk bodies that harboured a purely artistic appearance. With time, the heat begins to disturb her cool as living in Russia for an entire year, returning to the United Kingdom during the summer day felt like a foolish choice. But the event was way too special for her as it was for Nora. The girl's ecstatic concert blew the crowd, she wasn't sure whether her eyes were deceiving, but there was a certain way that Dhruv glanced at her as if mesmerized by her performance. But then again, half of the crowd was, as she looked so gorgeous and appealing. Even though Sia may deny it, a small drop of tear did escape her eyes as she was so proud of her friend. When others noticed, she blamed it on her allergies. Not the most fantastic justification, people barely took her reason seriously. The performance was forwarding swiftly. Sia could not remember who piped what music. She only took note of the people with familiar faces, Alaric and the band, Dhruv and his friends beside Nora. Even though her breaks were more frequent than her companions, she assumed that they comprehended the reason well. Even though her mood was light, it still may take a few more shows to get used to such an unsanitary situation. It appeared like a cherry on top when the drunk guy hit her arm. Sia wasted no time directing the beer on his face, only to notice it halted in the air. A tinge of annoyance hit her nerve when a familiar figure appeared within her eyesight. Like many, she could have mistaken him for Alaric, but she had first-hand experience of his pesky attitude since their Hogwarts days. "Somehow, I sincerely feel the cells that formed you may also have had an accidental slip or at the least a poor division." She smiled innocently at him, attempting to control her anger as she strolled closer to him, shoving her hand in the pocket. "I would say that I am surprised with your appearance, but you, not intruding your nose in my business. Wouldn't that be a dream?" Her voice was soft. It hid her raging, fuming emotions that simmered inside. A part of her wanted to throw a perfect punch at his handsome face. Her cheeks were turning red with wrath as her face emitted nothing but pure anger for him. The drunk guy made a sloppy attempt to get away from her, heading in Alec's direction as if he was going to protect him. It's funny because Sia doubted Alec would even be able to save himself. "All that effort to become Vaughn The Warrior? God, you are such an attention seeker. I understand that you missed me in your final year, I won't blame you for that but not as attractive you may think." The guy tripped down and fell near Alec's feet. He made a futile attempt to pull himself up but ended up vomiting his content. A smirk decorated her face as she raised her brows. "Serves you right" She was far too satisfied. A girl like Olesya never fought with other students contributing to her lack of interest in other's activities. But somehow, his blatant curses and impolite demeanour made it challenging for her to ignore. "You should know I can pay people to bathe you in beer. I usually don't enjoy my hand getting dirty." She gestured for her guards to stay away. "With you, I'm willing to sacrifice that." She took a firm grasp of his collar. Forcefully tugging him towards her. "Listen to me and listen very carefully, Alec." Her voice was threateningly low as her eyes levelled his, meeting them. "If you ever interfere with my work again, I'll invert your ribcage inside out." There were a thousand more curses to follow, but she didn't continue. For some strange reason, her mind chose that opportunity to appreciate a glimpse of his Irises, noticing its blue collagen threads weaving craftily, appearing like winter frozen flowers with the bottomless pit at the centre. It caused her to be conscious of his warm breath grazing her skin softly, driving her cheek to pool blood in its direction. His breath smelled of freshly devoured alcohol, compelling her mind to question its flavour. "Feud with Chervenkovs ends in a tragedy." She whispered, loud enough for him to hear it as a challenge or a suggestion to retreat.

New RP w/ Hunter Bennett
Annaleigh was back in the UK after four years away. She moved back to Norway to raise her son Arthur for a few years with the help of her family, but she had finally raised enough funds to move back to the UK. Her life had changed pretty dramatically in those few years. 10 years ago, she was the Department Chair for Herbology and the Head of Gryffindor House at Hogwarts. Now, she was back in the UK, looking for employment at the Magical Minds Preschool where she was sending her four-year-old son. After moving her belongings across the sea and settling in to her new home in Hogsmeade, Annaleigh needed to take some time for herself. She heard from her friends about a distillery in Kenmare that offered tours and tasting experiences so she decided to treat herself. She walked into the tasting area, looking around in wonder at how modern and chic the space was. She didn't know that Kenmare could be so... luxurious. She felt underdressed, wondering if she should leave and go to a more casual venue. But that doubt didn't last for long-- she was Annaleigh fucking Nordstrom! She could wear a paper bag and still look cool and confident. She walked up to the tasting area and chatted with the bartender who recommended a flight of beers. She looked around, seeing couples and friends mingling with one another while she sat back to people-watch.

With the World cup finally coming to an end, their team was given much needed rest, saying they all deserved it after the good performance they did. It was indeed an unforgettable experience, one for the books. He would like to believe it’s one of his best performances so far, everyone in his team was pumped to compete and win each of their matches. He only stayed in their Diagon Alley house for a couple of days before he went to their Kenmare vacation house, wanting to stay there for the duration of his vacation leave. His house there provides him more privacy, the air is fresh and if ever there were press people, they can’t just go over the fence as it’s high and with the security measures he installed, it’s not going to be easy for trespassers. His daughter, Ava, recently graduated and spent her time in Kenmare with him. After the World Cup, she reminded him of the alcohol tasting she and Lee gifted him on his birthday at a nearby distillery and it’s about to expire soon. It would be a shame if he’s going to miss it, she added. He reasoned he can always get himself another voucher and besides, he can visit any brewery or distillery if he wanted to but his daughter reminded him yet again it was their gift for him. The least he could do is use it and they will be happy. He gave up and the next day, he could be seen going to the Kenmare downtown and joining a group of people entering the Bayside Distillery. As expected, he didn’t know anyone from the group, which is what he prefers. It gave him a chance to put his guard down and just enjoy the experience. This isn’t the first time he attended an activity like this, when he was still in France and Sweden, he always joined the same activity, more than that he could count. Even in his vacation house, he’s got a good wine collection, a hobby of his since he was younger and has no direction in life. They were directed to the tasting room and leaned both arms on the counter, waiting for the other lady to finish talking to the bartender. He smiled at her first before taking his turn, “Any beer and wine recommendation.” He’s not going to go home without buying anything. The ones on display look promising. He was given a couple of small glasses. "Well this is a lot." he glanced at the woman beside him, chuckling.

Annaleigh thanked the bartender as he brought out a tray of small glasses of beer. Where should she even start... the hard cider, the lager, the wheat ale? They had all come with high praise from her friends who recommended the place. She decided to go for the sour. She took a sip and tried to recognize the flavor profile... guava, honeysuckle... or was it passionfruit? She was about to ask the bartender before realizing he was occupied with a new patron. She turned to look at him and saw him flash a smile at her. She gave him a polite smile before turning away, and suddenly it hit her. She did a double take and almost spit out her drink. Hunter Bennett? He had literally just been on her television screen a few days before, playing for England in the World Cup semifinals (OOC: and/or finals, whenever the results come out ). Annaleigh stood up a bit straighter, feeling a bit dizzy all of a sudden. She had met dozens of Quidditch players in her lifetime, but Hunter Bennett was a world-famous celebrity. She hardly knew how to conduct herself around someone this important, but she knew that the last thing she should do was freak out and fangirl the way that she wanted to. He had surely had a long month with the World Cup and all. He probably came here to unwind, not to sign autographs or anything.
Annaleigh took a deep breath and turned over to him, seeing that he had the same beer flight that she had. She laughed a bit at his quip. "You should try the sour. I'm trying to figure out what it tastes like... does it taste like passionfruit to you?" she asked, swirling the drink around in her glass before taking another sip. "I think it's passionfruit, but there's something else," she said, racking her brain for a moment. He probably had a more refined palate than she did, so she wondered what his thoughts were.

Hunter stood at the counter, waiting for his turn to sample the offerings. His passion for wine and spirits had been a constant in his life. It has been his source of pleasure growing up. Aside from collecting books, quidditch memorabilia and recipes, wine is the next thing he’s passionate about. When it was finally his turn to engage with the bartender, he flashed a warm smile at the woman beside him before inquiring about beer and wine recommendations. As the bartender poured a couple of small glasses for him to sample, he chuckled at the abundance of choices before him. Swirling the drink in his glass, he took a whiff of it and took another sip, savoring the complex blend of flavors and textures. With each sip and swirl of the glass, he savoured the moment to unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
He turned his attention to the girl as she offered him a recommendation to try the sour beer she was enjoying. He took a moment to consider her question about the flavor profile as he tasted it. His taste bud went to work, analyzing the flavors that danced on his tongue. After a moment of contemplation, Hunter turned back to her with a knowing smile. "You're right, there's definitely a strong passionfruit taste in this one." he began, "But I also detect a touch of tartness, almost like a hint of lime or citrus that adds a refreshing taste to the sweetness of the fruit."

Hunter chuckled at Annaleigh’s reaction, clearly enjoying the conversation. “I’m glad I got it right, then. And yes, traveling does help in refining one’s palate. It’s amazing how different regions have their own unique flavors and styles.” There are a lot of memorable experiences during his trips. From tasting local dishes in hidden corners of the world to meeting people who have unique stories to tell, it’s all part of the adventure. But it can be challenging, too. Being away from home for extended periods can be tough. Finding that balance is key. Although surprised, Hunter maintained his cool exterior and asked her instead, “You seem to know a few things about me….” It wasn’t a question, more a statement. Not wanting to make her awkward, he added as he gave her a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry about it. I’m just a regular person who happens to be in the public eye."
Hunter was grateful for the shift in focus. “Kenmare’s my second home now. I’ve always enjoyed exploring new places and learning about local specialties, but this place, I’d like to live here for a bit longer.” He took a sip of the drink and continued, “This distillery tour sounded like a great way to spend some downtime. And it’s always good to take a break from the usual routine.” The lady shared her reason for coming there and it’s basically to treat herself before starting in her new job. “Oh? What is this job you’re talking about? And are you from Kenmare?” He glanced at the flight of beers and picked up the glass of lager she had mentioned. “I haven’t tried it yet, but I want to see what it’s like. Lager’s not always my first choice, but I’m always open to trying new things.” And took a sip, savoring the freshness and subtle taste of flavor. “You’re right, this is really good. There’s a clean, refreshing taste that’s very well done. I can see why it’s a specialty here.”

Annaleigh nodded at his observation-- although she certainly wasn't as well-traveled as Mr. Bennett, she had made her fair share of trips around the world-- and always made sure to sample the local breweries when she was able. She couldn't help but blush at his next remark-- how could she defend herself? Apparently she hadn't been very subtle. She laughed calmly, realizing how she could redirect the conversation. "Your son, he took a few of my classes at Hogwarts," she informed him with a small smile. As the former Head of Gryffindor house, Annaleigh had been intimately involved in the lives of all of her students. But her excuse wasn't quite satisfactory, and he called her bluff. Her smile grew and she nodded, conceding to him. "And I'm a big fan," she said, extending her hand to him. "My name is Annaleigh Nordstrom," she said, realizing he didn't need an introduction.
Annaleigh listened as he waxed poetic about Kenmare, nodding her head in agreement with his assessment of the town. She had always loved Ireland, spending many summer holidays there as a child. "I'm from Norway, originally. I grew up in Scotland," she said, in between sips of an IPA. "I just moved to Godric's Hollow, to work at Magical Minds preschool as the herbs and creatures teacher," she stated, wondering how much she should share about the last six years of her life since her son was born. She quit her job at Hogwarts and moved back to Norway to raise her son as a single mother-- now that he was old enough, she was finally ready to begin working again. "I'm just in Kenmare to pick up some classroom supplies. Classes start next week," she said, before trying to wash her anxiety away with another sip of the IPA. "I already paid for a babysitter, so I figured I should take advantage of my alone time," she said with a small laugh. She realized she had been talking quite a bit-- she wondered if it was too much or too little. One the one hand, he probably couldn't care less about her life-- but on the other, he probably felt some amount of relief that she wasn't hounding him with too many questions. "How is Harper doing? He was such a great kid," she said, giving him a warm smile. If there was one thing parents loved talking about, it was their children.

Every place he went to has its own story, and food is such a beautiful way to share that. He loves the challenge of learning what makes each dish special. And of course the people and the connections he made along the way was an added bonus. Hunter raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at his lips. “Ah, so you’re the one behind those unforgettable classes. I’ve heard nothing but good things from my son about your teaching.” He accepted her handshake, the warmth of her grip surprising him. “Annaleigh Nordstrom, it’s a pleasure to finally put a face to the name. Hunter… Hunter Bennett.” She said she was a big fan. “I hope I didn’t disappoint you in person?” He asked her teasingly.
Hunter listened, slightly curious by Annaleigh’s journey. “Norway and Scotland, what a beautiful combination.”How different those places must be compared to Kenmare. He’s also travelers himself and he knew how different places can give you something to look forward to. Something unique. “Kenmare has a unique charm that captures your heart. It’s nice to hear how much you appreciate it. And teaching at Magical Minds preschool sounds fulfilling. How did you end up in that role?” She shared what she’s doing in Kenmare, “Where is your husband? It’s important to take that time for yourself, especially when you’re balancing a new job and motherhood. Plus, classroom supplies can be surprisingly fun to shop for.” Hunter took care of Harper on his own so he knew the struggle of parenthood. His face lit up at the mention of his son’s name. “Harper’s doing really well, thanks for asking. He’s almost as tall as me now.” He said, chuckling, and there’s pride evident in his voice. “He’s a Seeker for Chudley Cannons. How time flies so fast.”

His comments warmed her heart. "It is really wonderful to hear that. You have no idea," she said, feeling herself getting a bit emotional. Back in those days, her students had been one of the only things keeping her sane. Everything else in her life back then was such as mess, she was worried that turmoil would bleed into her teaching abilities. Those fears were ultimately why she left the profession. Hearing that she left such a favorable impression on both her students and their families meant the world to her. "Teaching little kids is fun, but teaching teenagers is really special. It's fun to watch them grow up and pursue their dreams," she said, taking a sip of the cider. He made a joke about disappointing her, and she could only laugh. "Hah! Not at all," she said, taking his words in jest. If anything, he was even taller in person than she had pictured.
She nodded at his observation, feeling a bit of homesickness for Norway. It was a nice reprieve for her, though she wondered how different her life would look if she had stayed the course teaching at Hogwarts. "Ah, I took the role to be closer to my son. He just started there," she said, rifling through her purse to find her wallet. She pulled out a moving photo of him, passing it over to Hunter. "His name's Arthur, he just turned five," she gushed-- now it was her turn to talk about her child. He had become her entire world, and frankly, he probably saved her from a dark path. She laughed again at the word husband. The thought was laughable. "No husband," she said, shaking her head, stifling back another laugh. It wasn't like the situation was particularly funny, just that she was so used to being a single mother that the concept of a "husband" was nearly unimaginable to her. But how could she explain this complicated situation to a total stranger... "His dad lives in America. At least, I think. Nobody's heard from him since before Arthur was born," she explained, giving him the synopsis. She and Arthur's father had broken up before she found out she was pregnant-- he was moving back to America, and she had no intention of leaving. By the time she found out she was pregnant, he was long gone. Luckily the husband conversation was over now, and they could go back to their children. "Harper brought home so many trophies for Gryffindor. He was always a superstar. I'm sure you and your wife are proud of him, following in your footsteps?" she said, looking over.

“I don’t think you’ve fully grasped how much of an impact you’ve had on your students. You probably don’t hear it enough, but from what I know, you’re shaping lives in ways you might not even realize.” When you’re in the thick of it, it’s hard to see the difference you’re making. You just keep moving forward, making the next dish, teaching the next class. You don’t always get to see the long-term results. He knew that situation well, he was once a teacher of kids too. Speaking of, “I used to be headmaster of a kid’s school in France.” You pour everything into it, not always knowing where it’s going to lead, but trusting that the impact is there. “I’m glad to hear I didn’t disappoint.” He said with a grin, the teasing tone he initially used didn’t change. “But I’ll take the compliment of being even taller than you imagined. I guess I’ve got that going for me, at least.”
Hunter took the moving photo with a smile, watching the image of Arthur run excitedly. He felt a soft warmth in his chest at the sight of the little boy, his face full of innocence and joy. “He’s adorable…” Hunter commented as he handed the photo back to Annaleigh with a smile. “I can see why he’s your whole world. It must be very rewarding watching him grow, especially now that he’s at school.” At her mention of no husband, he couldn’t help but smile a little, sensing the slight humor in her words. “It’s tough, huh? I can imagine it’s a lot on your own, especially with everything you’re juggling. But it sounds like you’ve built a solid life for yourself and Arthur, which is no small feat.” Annaleigh shared the more complicated side of her story. He could hear the pain behind her words, the quiet resolve that came with navigating motherhood on her own. “I can’t imagine how difficult that must’ve been,” he said gently. “But you’re doing an amazing job with Arthur. He’s lucky to have you.” As for his son, “Harper’s been a bit of a handful at times, but yeah, I’m so proud of him,” Hunter replied with a smile. “He’s a hard worker, and he’s always had a natural talent for Quidditch. When he was younger, I think he used to get in trouble for being too competitive, but now he’s really focused. It’s been incredible to see him grow, and I’m really grateful for everything he’s accomplished.”

His words were instilling a confidence in her that she didn't even know she was missing. She always enjoyed being a professor, and she loved being involved with all the Gryffindor students, but knowing that she had a lasting impact on the students in her classes truly warmed her heart. Now that she was back in the UK, she felt an urge to make her return to Hogwarts, and this feedback was only egging her on further. Her eyes widened with his next response. "Oh, wow! I did not know that," she said of his experience as a headmaster of a French wizarding school. Not that she would've had any reason to know-- it wasn't like she was the founder of the Hunter Bennett fan club or anything. "You've lived many lives, it seems," she added in, taking a sip from her glass. She laughed at his response about his height-- in addition to being a stellar Quidditch player, he also had a quick wit.
She watched as his face lit up as he looked at the picture of Arthur. He was truly the cutest kid she had ever seen, and she wasn't just saying that because she was his mom. He had the sweetest little face and acted wise beyond his years, always saying things that never failed to make Annaleigh laugh. Once he handed her the photo back, she looked at it for a moment, a pang of guilt going through her for taking time away from him. "It's rewarding, but so hard sometimes. I almost feel guilty for being out, enjoying myself, instead of back with him like I am every other night," she said with a laugh, before adding, "But at least I'll have a good story for him. He's a big fan of yours, actually. He even has a little jersey on his bedroom wall," she said, feeling silly for not bringing it up earlier, though she had made an effort to dial her fan-girling down to a minimum.
He dodged her subtle hint about his "wife," but the lack of a wedding band on his finger gave her an answer. His responses about single parenthood, similarly, showed that he had some similar experiences. She wouldn't pry, though-- his private life wasn't any of her business. She thought about Hunter's response about his son, trying to think of any specific memories she had about Harper in particular. "Hah! I forgot about how competitive he was. I just remembered, one time I caught him and one of his teammates trying to tear down a Slytherin banner... he must've been a fourth year or so? I think the look of disappointment I gave him was enough to set him straight," she said, reminiscing fondly about her time at Hogwarts again. She thought for a moment, before asking, "Does Harper have any siblings?" she asked, realizing if he did then she never got the chance to meet them at Hogwarts.

Hunter was amused at her wide-eyed reaction, “Many lives…I guess you could say that. Life tends to take you in unexpected directions when you least expect it. I even worked as a Ministry Official before becoming a Headmaster. I also worked menial jobs in the muggle world to help me finance my nomad life.” He used to move from one country to the next, working for few months and then sightseeing in between, get to know the culture and immerse himself with the experience. He lived many lives indeed. A fitting description.
“Guilt’s part of the job, but taking time for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s important for both of you. If you’re happy and fulfilled, it’ll only make you an even better mom to Arthur.” At her mention of Arthur being a fan, his grin widened. “He has one of my jerseys on his wall? That’s amazing.” It’s nice to know whenever young generations admire them. “Tell him I can always sign that jersey if he wants me to.” It’s the least he could do for him.
Hunter gave a small nod when Annaleigh shifted the conversation, a silent acknowledgment that he appreciated her subtle choice to steer clear of prying into his personal life. His smile didn’t falter, but there was a quiet understanding in his eyes. The conversation had felt nice and easy up until that point, and he didn’t want to disrupt the natural flow. Hunter chuckled at the memory Annaleigh shared about Harper. “He was definitely one to get caught up in the moment. He’s got that Gryffindor spirit through and through.” At her question about siblings caught him by surprise. “Well, I have a daughter, older than Harper by 1 year. Her mother was a different girl who I…” he cleared his throat, “had a one night stand with who I didn’t know got pregnant and hid the baby from me.” He cannot blame her, they didn’t see each other after that, she left him at the hotel all alone. He was dead drunk and couldn’t remember how it even started or where he met her. “After she died due to sickness, she left her in my care, after 16 years of not knowing what really happened.”
