***2nd Years and above only!***

The carriages are available for students to use.

They are pulled by thestrals who cannot be seen unless you have seen death.

doze off

The time had come at long freaking last. The train ride had been forever and a day, but Goldie actually enjoyed most of it. She was pretty tired, though, and had drifted off at one point, but Shaad woke her in time for them all to change into their school robes. After exiting the train, Goldie found a carriage with Shaad and was sure to shut the door before anyone could join them. The was a light rain so the carriages had roofs which made the ride very, very cozy and private, just what Goldie wanted. "Now this is better," she said to Shaad in a soft voice when she found his hand and took it in her own.

[Draw something on the glass]

They had changed into their uniforms really fast and Shaad who didn't take a lot of time anyway had slipped into one of the carriages. It was one of the first ones so everyone was still in the process of deciding which carriage they should join with their friends. As he waited and searched for Marigold through the window, his fingers traced into an S on the window. Goldie hopped at the same time and Shaad was quick to close the door. There were other carriages too and he was sure they won't be left behind. It was the first time Shaad was using the train but carriages were ones he always used. They lived a few miles from there so his father always dropped him and Ana by the carriages when it was time for them to leave. The first time was the boat and after that, it has always been the carriages. "I didn't realize you guys have so much fun on the train. Party and all." He honestly had no idea the train experience was so much fun. Shaad found her fingers and locked them with his own with a smile. "I think you should know that I told Ana about us since she'd be seeing us a lot." He knows that his sister didn't care but he still wanted to make sure she was mum about it.

tell a story

Goldie was so glad to be in the carriage alone with Shaad. They needed their privacy and with Shaad holding her hand, she felt so close to him and it was really rather intimate. She smiled fondly and when he mentioned the train, she giggled. "One time on the train to school there was a kid who had brought a snake like... to be his pet. I guess he didn't realize snakes aren't allowed for pets at school. Anyway the snake got loose! It was crazy. You definitely have missed some good stuff." Goldie squeezed his hand and giggled, then turned properly to face him. Shaad told his sister about them being together, which surprised her but in a good way. "You did?" she asked softly, and her smile bloomed. "I'm glad. I don't like us having to be totally secret. I mean, knowing at least a few people know is nice." She leaned forward toward him and kissed his cheek, close to his lips but not quite there. It was a soft, little gentle one, and when she pulled back, her eyes fluttered a little. "We're going to have a good year, aren't we?"

A pet snake? Now that was defintiely interesting. Shaad liked snakes and had considered it until his mother had blew him off in the first year with no pet snakes. It was sad. "You know I wanted a snake in my first year." He admitted with a chuckle. He likes creatures and there is something about a snake. Maybe it could be because his patronus was one and he felt connected in some way but he wouldn't have known at that point, would he? "Was someone able to capture it?" He could imagine how freaked out students would be. It wasn't like someone could talk to them and tell them to shush, right? He had only told Ana because she'd see the two so it made sense, "Yeah I did but surprisingly, she kinda knew... and still didn't tell anyone." For Shaad, Ana is like someone who talks alot and he mistakens her to be a gossip girl. Such a terrible brother he is. "Yeah, i think so. I am totally looking forward to it." Shaad's turned to face her, resting his forehead against hers and smiled at the soft brush of her lips.

"Really?" Goldie replied in clear surprise. A pet snake... now that was a thought. "My mum was a little against us having pets at first, I think because there are so many kids... I mean, she's got her dog," Goldie mused, but then added, "But when I came to school she let me get a cat... and Linden got a rat..." she sighed and let that thought go. "I don't remember, but I would assume so?" Goldie shrugged, forgetting most of the smaller details of that story because it had been so long ago. Goldie was rather pleased that Ana was keeping things between them. "I guess that's something she and Linden can talk about in their free time." Goldie murmured in amusement, as if their siblings would want to talk about something like that. She smiled slowly in response to his eager tone and the way his forehead touched hers. Sitting like that, he was still obviously larger a person than she was, but they were able to reach one another in a more comfortable way. She shimmied closer and put her hand on his neck, her thumb brushing over the skin. "Don't you like being alone?" she whispered encouragingly with a hint of teasing in her voice. Then she let her hand fall so her palm was on his chest, otherwise remaining perfectly still.

[Thestrals]

Sherlock talked vey little about what had happened at the stadium, or rather what had happened after. He had woke up in the hospital, in the middle of the chaos it had been. So many people injured, so many dead. When he thought about that, about all the people dead, his throat would close, and it was almost impossible to breath. Luckily, he had learn about some breathing exercices that helped him when this kind of stuff would happen. So he closed his eyes, and took deep breath, letting it fill him, before exhaling and letting all the tension out. It sounded weird at first, but it worked.

They had arrived in Hogsmeade station, Sherlock had his bag over his shoulder, walking towards the carriages. Boats were only for the first years, to impress them so to speak, or terrify them, choose your pick. So Sherlock was on his way to the carriages. He thought that Becks and Esme would be behind, maybe they had been slowed down? Sherlock had no idea, but they couldn’t be far away. He approached the closer carriage and looked at it. Normally, he would have just hopped in it without thinking much about anything, just in a hurry to get to the castle and ready for the feast, but tonight, tonight he kept thinking about the Thestrals, those skeletal looking horses that were pulling the carriages, unseen. Unseen if you havent seen death, that is.

Sherlock’s heart was pounding wildly as he approached further, beginning to go around the carriage. He was afraid of what he would find out... he was... His eyes widened as he found himself at the front of the carriage. Nothing. There was nothing. Of course, he knew the thestrals were there, he could see the hot air exhaling from their nostrils, and their footsteps messing up the soft ground, he could even feel their body under his hand... He couldn’t see... them... He went back to the back of the carriage and climbed in it, seating, trying to calm his worried mind.

[hang out with your friends]

Getting changed into her school robes and getting her prefect badge on was a very new and strange experience. Esme would never have thought that she would get this - never, not once but she was up for the responsibility that came with it although earning the respect of her peers would be a challenge and she was an easy mark. Let's face it she was genuinely nice and yes on occasion if it was called on, she could be a little scary but maybe through a level of kindness and understanding she would get somewhere. It was amazing what thoughts and feelings went through your head when you had to make a mad dash to the toilet.

She looked put together, the growth spurt she had helped and she was now nearing five foot one which was great. Next to her family she didn't look as short but there was time to catch up. She made her way to the carriages with some confidence and smiled as the first years made their way to the boats as she made her way to the carriages. Part of her thought she could see a vague outline of something but she couldn't be too sure, Esme shook her head and ignored it, putting it down to an eight hour train journey making her mind play tricks on her.

"Hey Sher. Sorry, had a wee call of nature," Mae took a hair band off her wrist and twisted her blonde hair into a bun as strands escaped to frame her face. "Yeh okay? Seem a little on edge," Her hands gripped on to the sides of the door as she hoisted herself up and into the carriage, feeling the cooling breeze of the Highlands whip around her. Honestly there was no better feeling of being home.

[Homesick]

Sherlock made a soft jump hearing Esme’s voice, but he smiled at her as she climbed into the carriage. He noticed her immaculate tones and the shiny badge on it, He smiled, “I’m ok... Nothing, really... I” He waved his hand as if to dismiss a bad thought, forcing himself to smile, “I was thinking it was a little too early to be homesick... Even if...” he tried his best to sound natural, although something told him that this was not his best work.

He looked at her, his hand gesturing at her, “nice badge! It looks good on you. How do’ you feel? Ready to be all important in the corridors, give and deduct points?” He chuckled. He knew how gentle Esme could be; he could even understand her stress, the badge could be a pressure on people. Sherlock slid closer to her, shoving her softly, gently, with his shoulder, playfully, trying to lift her spirits and his at the same time. “Listen, let’s try not to think about home, about parents or everything else. Let’s try to have a good time, ok? It’s feast day, right? Everything is going to be okay.... It has to.

"Oh same here, my mom is against pets too. Think the only pet we have are owls... until Ana got a pygmy puff and er, I got a crup but no one knows about it." He almost whispered the last part out. They're really nice and loyal and he wanted one. Shaad knew he should have told Goldie earlier but he wasn't sure how she would react so now that they were talking pets, he decided to tell her. He is not even sure they are allowed so his plan was to sneak it inside. He's not going to keep it at home, obviously. Everyone will flip. He watched her reaction carefully. Goldie's opinion mattered a lot. He would have told her before buying one but it wasn't a planned move. He snickered at her comment about their siblings gossiping. "I hope not. Gossip spreads like fire." Not that Shaad is bothered but he knows his mother is a professor in the castle and if she found out, would she really keep it from Goldie's mother? Shaad slipped his hand over hers and held it tightly against his chest. Leaning closer, he let his lips touch hers for a kiss. "Mhm... I do."

What was with parents and their rules about pets? She didnt think she was the only one with that and when Shaad said about his mom, there was proof. She totally didnt expect him to say he had gotten a crup secretly, though. Her eyes got big and she said, "How did you pull that off? Wow," and she snickered, really amused and impressed too. "You really are a bad boy, arent you? I like it. Whats the crup named?" Goldie couldnt wait to meet the pet now, and just hoped it got along with Daisy. She didnt mind if their siblings gossiped together, but it was true that his mum didnt need to find out. If they were in any of her classes together, their acting skills would make an appearance wouldnt they? That would be fun. Goldie returned his kiss gently and could feel his heartbeat through his shirt with how tightly her hand was now pressed against his chest. "I dont think I'll ever get bored of those," she whispered and rubbed her nose against his affectionately. "I wish we could sit at the same table during the feast," she said with a sigh, her head turned away and down.

Okay, she wasn't disappointed by his actions so Shaad sighed in relief. The grin on his face was wide when he thought of his sneaky ways. "It wasn't difficult at all. Mom wasn't home and dad helped me hide it and everyone else loves it so they aren't going to snitch on me." He wasn't the only one hiding pets so it didn't matter. "That's the problem, I haven't named him yet. I don't know what to name him. You know something that connects it to his personality..." Shaad thought deep when it came to pet names. His owl was named Amare because it was the most adorable owl and everyone loved even more than there own. "Me too." His eyes closed as he felt her, Shaad thought of the upcoming year and the unknown. Sometimes the unknown scared him but knowing he'd have Goldie with him, it made him feel better. "It's okay though. I'll come to see you before we disperse." They could meet outside the great hall or on the seventh floor before they went to bed.

Oh, so only his mum didnt know? That made it more feasible that he would get away with it. She knew exactly what he meant by choosing a good name, too. "Names are important. You dont want something that doesnt fit. I'm sure it will come to you. Look into his eyes." She had named Daisy that way. It just fit. The closeness in the carriage was so sweet that Goldie wished the ride would last longer than she knew it would. "I have to walk the first years to the common room," Goldie countered, essentially shutting down that idea. Being prefect it was a duty she had now. "I wish I had a picture of us to keep on my nightstand," she said then, thinking it would help her sleep.

Look into his eyes? It was the first time he was hearing something like that but he is definitely going to try out. "Should be romantic." Shaad snorted thinking of looking into the eyes of his crup if he'd stay still enough to do so. He made a face when Goldie mentioned her prefects' duty. Meh, that meant he'd see her the next day... unless he sneaked out and met her later that night. But there is curfew and he wasn't sure if it will be safe on the first day. Worth a shot though. "Think we can fix that. Maybe ask someone to take a picture later or sneak into the photography room and you know?" There were so many possibilities. Shaad knows there is a photography room which has a lot of cameras but can only be taken on request and after a lot of permissions.

Goldie busted into a laugh, covering her mouth with her hand and using the other to smack him gently on the arm. "You know what I meant, punk," she teased back and laughed again. Romantic. But really, looking into the animals eyes could give you a sense of them. At least that worked for her. She was disappointed that they wouldn't be able to see each other after the feast, although she knew how sleepy she would be. She had already nearly fallen asleep on the train. She did appreciate his suggestion to get someone to take their picture. "Bri might do it for us. Maybe this weekend." Goldie felt better thinking about that. She wanted to document everything... Make a little scrapbook to store her memories of her first relationship. Who wouldn't want that? The carriage was almost at the castle, she could tell. "Come here," she said suddenly, pulling him toward her by the front of his robes. She kissed him eagerly, a few times in a row, just as the carriage pulled to a stop. "I needed my fix," she explained and giggled shyly, her cheeks quite pink in embarrassment when she opened the carriage door and stepped down and out.

The journey had been tiring. Not so much because of anything else other than the fact that it was long, and being a prefect Bea had thought she would try to do rounds and everything. Some doofus had started a party, and Bea had not been sure if it was legal or not, so she had spent the journey hovering outside the gate to catch if something went awry. It had really taken a lot of her energy, and by the time they reached the carriages, she was sufficiently sleeping. As she took a seat, she leaned against the frame of the carriage, and could feel her eyes closing slowly. Oh darnit, they would probably have to help out the new kids as well. When will she get to sleep..

Pippa had already done this many times before, and every time, she gets to enjoy the ride to the castle. Ever since she became a prefect and head student for the last few years, she’ll always assist the students and professors with their inquiries and directing students to their carriages leaving her and some other students on the last few rides. Which is usually fine by her because she gets to see all the carriage’s light in a distance while they’re going to the castle. It’s amazing to witness! She would definitely miss this, she mused while closing the carriage door as soon as the young student rode in it. Sighing, Pippa looked at the next one but as she turned around, she saw the thestral. She didn’t know which death she’s seen but she realized this creature is special, that you’ll only see it if you have seen death through your own eyes. She can’t remember much, or maybe her young mind refused to remember, but she can see this creature, which means she’d witnessed death before. Pippa reached out to the creature who breathed out softly... she smiled and gently ran her hand along its face.

Show off

It felt like years that the kids were on that Hogwarts Express. Naturally when the train did pull into the platform, Bodhi was so relieved to stretch his long legs and limbs that he practically ran off of it. He was definitely being a bit of a show off to his friends, but who could blame him? He had swung onto one of the carriages and instead of sitting inside safely, he had climbed along the outside. 'Giddy up!" he said in a mock-American voice, trying to chant the carriage into moving. Of course there were not enough other students in it yet. His friends would have to hurry their butts along and join him if they were going to ever get to the castle. He was really freaking hungry too, so he wanted that feast!

Rush was one of the last few to get off the train. The last hours of the train ride had been spent in the party that was raging inside his compartment, and the rounds of truth and dare which had actually lead to some wild things coming up. On top of that, there was the music, and even though Rush had not taken any drinks (because school), he was on a certain high. A kind of high that he ad not felt ever since his Durmstrang days. It was his last year in school, and starting next year, life would be very different, but this party had just reminded him about all the years in school. The Koldovstoretz days, when he would randomly challenge people to duel - and get in trouble with his father for that. The Durmstrang days, which were spent sneaking out with Alex and Mags, and getting drunk in N'Dulge before sneaking back in before dawn. And now this last year in Hogwarts. He had certainly lead a very colourful school life, and as he got off the train, he was hit by an exhaustion and a strange sense of nostalgia. Maybe it had something to do with his friends, and not graduating with them - since this was an important milestone. Rush had made a few friends, but he wished at times he had graduated with the other two - so that it would have been an experience in itself. Especially with Mags, since that girl was with him since the start - even though he wasn't very keen on seeing her at the moment. Open wounds and such.

He had changed into his school robes, though his tie was completely astray and his hair were dishevelled at best - because he had done it in a hurry. As he walked towards the carriages, his eyes searched for anyone he possibly knew - but more than that, they searched for a familiar blonde. And deep down he knew he shouldn't be automatically searching for her. He knew Alex liked her, he knew that she possibly liked him too - with the things he had been told. So it wasn't right for him to search for her. But he did. His eyes rested on her as she stood near the thestral, running her hand over its form as many people ignored the creature and walked past it. Coming up behind Pippa, he spoke up. "You can see them too?" His eyes were on the thestral, though they did flicker to her from time to time. He had left the prefect compartment early on, and hadn't seen her in the whole train ride.

As Pippa ran her hand on the creature’s face while it gently tipped its head, she couldn’t help but smile. It’s probably one of the most gentle creatures she’s ever dealt with while other people thought differently, while some haven’t even seen one their entire lives. When she first saw it, she had no idea not everyone can see it, that you have to have witnessed death and believed the death is true before you can even see this creature. It was only when she asked someone about it that she realized they can’t see it and they thought she’s a freak.

She was surprised when someone spoke behind her, and not just someone, a familiar one whom she’d been encountering a lot lately. She didn’t look at him, instead, she gazed at the creature again and replied, ”Yes, i can see them...” she softly shook her head, ”but i can’t remember all the details, i mean, i can only hear yelling and shouting and begging and then screaming. Then there’s the blood.” she glanced at him this time, ”You can see them too...” she stated. Although it wasn’t a question, Pippa was curious which death he’d witnessed. It was in that moment she noticed his disheveled state, she chuckled and reached out to fix his necktie (gm?) ”You look presentable enough for the feast.” she said half-teasing and half-sarcastic. ”Let me help you with that... she expertly fixed the tie and tapped on it softly once done. ”There, much better.” her eyes went to his messy hair. ”Merlin Rush, what have you been doing inside the train, you’re in that party weren’t you?” she heard some students who were discussing about a party happening at the carriage D but she’s too exhausted to even check it and fell asleep at the back of the train, which by the way helped her a lot, it was a good sleep.
