(Loiter in the hallway)

 

Raph had his hand carried bag dragging behind him on the floor as he loitered along the hallway waiting for the rest of the boys to catch up with him. He had shooed his mother away but she was being so clingy to him that he had to push her off him just so she would let him go. He didn’t understand why she was being like that but it was sweet of his Mum to do that. He will probably miss her the most since it was usually them in the house everyday. He then wondered what she would be doing now that he was going to school. He walked along the hallway looking into each of the carriages to find an empty one and when he found one, he yelled at the crowded hallway. ­"Lee! Kyle! Niccolo! Here!" He was being loud but hey, this is his first ever Hogwarts Express ride and he wants to ride in style with his best friends. ­"Come on!" He slid the door open to the compartment and threw his bag on the seat, staying by the door so he can usher them in.

RPC: Trip over something

 

Niccolo entered the train after probably ten more hugs with his Mom and sister Sadri. The latter was making a scene and he's both amused and touched (somewhat) because she wanted to go with him. It felt a bit weird to actually board the train and leave them on the platform. It's sinking in that he's gonna be away for school, that he won't be seeing them everyday. Wow. He gave them another wave, bit his lip and looked away. He'll miss his parents and his sister even though he's annoying and bratty. Granted, they might be arguing all the time but he couldn't deny the fact that he's closest to her. Dang, he'll write to her every week. Or more often, when he felt like it. Sighing, he adjusted the strap of the bag on his back and trip on his own foot when he heard his name being called out by none other than RJ. Goodness, he would've landed on the floor, face- first, because of his loud voice. "You're too loud, bro." He chuckled and stopped in front of him to perform their secret handshake. Once done, Niccolo entered the compartment and took the window seat, his eyes looking for his family again.

[Tour the Train]

 

Kyle trailed behind the guys at a leisurely pace, glancing around his surroundings. Well, it wasn't the Eurostar—that was for sure. It was something, though. He shouldered past a couple of students and followed the others' lead. Hearing RJ calling out, he picked up the pace and then ducked in the compartment. Kyle went to sink down on the seats, settling his carry-on pack behind him. "What other amenities do you think this place has?" Kyle asked curiously. "Does anyone fancy a tour of the train?" he asked them absently and then caught the expression of Niccolo. He was staring outside with longing… and the other guys are probably the same. They're probably bidding their own families goodbye through the window and were probably not in the mood. Well… he can always go on his own. "I'll be right back," he muttered then, slipping out the compartment once again to see what else he can discover about the Hogwarts Express.

RPC: Loiter in the hallway

 

Among the 4 of them, he was the last one to ride the train because his dad didn’t want to let him go. Seriously, just last night he kept on reminding him to check his things repeatedly so he will not forget anything before his trip to Hogwarts. The boy thought his dad is excited to let him go, but it turned out it’s the exact opposite. His father was just pretending all this time that he’s okay about his departure to Hogwarts, but he’s really not. That somehow touched the boy so he hugged his dad and promised him that he will write regularly even though he hates sending letters. RJ was waiting by the carriage door when he arrived, while Kyle is leaving. “What’s happening? Where is Kyle going?” He stopped by the door and watched his friend leave. He also noticed a lot of students who were scrambling to find empty carriages, some where even looking for their friends and pets. He grinned, this is real, they’re really going to Hogwarts! He looked at Niccolo and RJ from the door, “This is it guys, we’re going to Hogwarts!”

RPC: Pretend to be the conductor

 

Ariadne was looking for a compartment to stay in during the long ride to the school. She haven’t seen the girls yet so she has no idea where to go and the compartments are getting are all taken by students. She even saw someone having a full-blown party in one of them. She kind of wants to go there later but she’s not sure if she will. Maybe if she can drag one of the girls along, she might. Anyways, she was walking along the hallway when she saw one of the Bowtruckle boys from camp. She approached the one by the door (Raph) and saw that both Lee and Niccolo are inside. They were missing one person. Where was Kyle? Approaching them though, she could clearly seeing that they got space in their compartment. Grinning, she thought of messing with them slightly. “Ahoy lads, can I see your tickets?” She leaned on the door lazily with an arrogant look on her face like she owned the train even though she was only the ‘conductor’. After a few seconds, she followed up with a grin. “Just kidding. Do you mind if I join you guys? Everywhere else is full and I can’t find the girls.”

Her parents hugged her one last time, her Dad more emotional than her Mom and Sammie will never get tired of seeing the role reversal. It's always like that in their house, and she never expected otherwise when they went here to see her off. "I promise to owl every week. Uncle Caleb would be there, so you don't have anything to worry about, Dad." Sammie kissed them both and with a final wave, she boarded the Hogwarts Express. Ari, Aina and Marley should be around here, she's sure of it. It's just a matter of finding where they are at the moment. Running her fingers through her hair, she checked every compartment until she heard a familiar voice asking for tickets. A smile appeared on her face; it was Ari pretending to be the conductor. Based on the conversation, it seems like she's talking to the twig boys. "I'm here, Ari." Sam hugged her from behind and then tilted her head to look at the... three boys inside. Kyle's missing. "Hey, guys." She greeted with a smile. "It's so weird not to see the four of you together."

Niccolo craned his neck from side to side but he couldn't see his family anymore. They're probably on the other side and he shook his head. He'll be fine, this is just like Camp Avalon, only the setting would be different and he will be staying away from home longer than usual. Then again, it's just three more months before he comes back home for the holidays. See? Not that long! Niccolo turned his head when Kyle entered the compartment. "They do have the candy trolley, right?" The other boy followed it up by a tour of the train and before he knew it, he slipped out and Niccolo blinked. "Kyle! Wait up!" He rose to his feet, and suddenly Lee, Ariadne and Sammie appeared. "Hey guys! Kyle and I would be right back in a sec!" With a wave, he ran after his friend, eager to tour the train as well.

RPC: Read a book

 

As soon as Raijin boarded the train, the first thing he saw was the chaotic hallway going to the compartments. It’ll take a miracle to even find an empty one now. He didn’t waste any time because every second he watched them scramble to their feet, he’s losing the chance to find an empty space. Raijin rubbed his temple as he made his way, dodging younger kids and excusing himself from group of students and while doing so, he’s also checking each carriage if there’s still an available one for him. There were still few available compartments in the middle part of the train. He quickly opened one and called dibs before any students will snatch it from him. He opened his backpack and brought out his new book which he wanted to finish before reaching Hogsmeade. Once done, he put his backpack at the overhead rack while wondering where the Prefect compartment is. He’s eager to see Caiofe, it’s been a while since he last saw her. His book can wait, but not the urge to see his girlfriend again. He will give it few minutes, once everyone’s settled in their own carriages, only then he will find his way to that special section of the train. For now, he took a seat and opened his book, it didn't take long for the Ravenclaw guy to be fully immersed in the book he's reading.

So, today is the D-day for the start of Hogwarts classes. Cass had only mentioned to Ralph about her getting hired as a professor again but not to their only son. You see, she likes messing with her little boy sometimes, and thought it would be fun to surprise him with the fact that she'll be with him inside the school castle as one of the faculty. The Smith household would be certainly look empty now that all of them are away with them work and studies. But of course, she would still come home on weekends because Ralph would be lonely and she will miss her dear husband. With RJ stuck in school, perhaps it's about darn time for a second child, no?

 

As more students board the train, she couldn't help but get curious what her boy would be doing inside. He demanded to board by himself 'coz he's such boy who's a sucker for independence. After dropping her things at the professor's luggage carriage, the woman strolled around the student cabins as she looked for RJ. Cass was certain he's with his friends right now and since he knew she had left already, she thought of teasing him a little bit for shooing her off too soon. As soon as she found their cabin, she knocked on the transparent glass door window, waving and beaming at her son.

RPC: Homesick

 

Amina dragged her arse toward the compartment which her brother had chosen for them, her backpack still with her since she hasn’t really settled in there yet. She looked for her friends first before joining her brother because she’ll just get bored if she’ll stick with Raijin. The guy doesn’t know how to manage a good conversation with her, he will always prefer to look at his darn books instead of talking to his dear sister. Can you believe that? He loves his book more than he loves me! She frowned while having that thought as she opened the door of their compartment. Seeing him reading a book, she mentally rolled her eyes. Figures… What did I expect? “Seriously? You’re just going to read a book again? How about we do something fun for once?” She said in exasperation while dumping her bag on the seat next to him. Amina looked out the window and saw a lot of kids and parents waving goodbye to their loved ones. She even caught a glimpse of her little brother who’s crying while being held by their dad. “Aww..Look at Ronin, the squirt is crying.” Amina waved at him, making faces as if trying to cheer him up. They haven’t even left yet but she’s feeling homesick now.

Cooper had just waved goodbye to his mom after basically running into a couple of Slytherins' compartment. It was embarrassing to do it that way but he didn't want to miss saying goodbye to his mum! In his haste to leave their compartment, he had forgotten that he'd dropped his trunk in the hall right outside another compartment. That was why, when he scrambled out, he stubbed his toe on the trunk and fell forward with an oomf! He grunted and fell down, landing hard on his legs and splaying out over his trunk. "Frogging mother bullocks!" he cursed out colorfully. There were students in the adjacent compartment but he lay there, groaning, ignoring that they might be staring at him.

RPC: Sad goodbyes

 

After buying almost everything from the candy trolley, Joon started roaming around the train. To find a good spot among the compartments was important to him since he's the type who usually falls asleep too instantly during train rides. The Hogwarts Express was much better than the Durmstrang Ship, where he got sick and throw up every single time. Nonetheless, Joon enjoyed his time in the Swedish school. It was sad he had to say goodbye to his former school, but hey, Hogwarts was not that bad. The professors were not-so gloomy there but the students, they're just as crazy as the Durmstrang ones. Finally finding a not-so full compartment, Joon peered inside. There were younger kids who seemed new to him, probably first years? The other two are somewhat familiar... Ah, yes. It''s the pretty girl (Amina) from the camp. Joon was feeling lethargic that time when she came to sit with him during breakfast, and it was already too late when he realized he missed his chance again to get himself a girlfriend that summer. Yes, that's his goal before graduation. Passing the NEWTs was only the second priority. He stepped inside the cabin and settled down on a seat opposite to hers, merely hugging all his sweet goods against his chest because apparently the candy trolley lady had ran out of take-out bags. The girl was looking outside through the window and Joon simply stared at her dreamily as she did.

As most of the luggage that Kaelan was taking was packed and left behind, he stuffed his hands into his pockets as he walked around the train, knowing that it was a familiar sight to see this train. Maybe he could read his book and keep himself entertained seeing as it was going to be awhile before the students and staff were in Hogwarts, though as he moved around in the train, it seemed like most students were hollering and clamoring about inside of the train, which made his anxiety go up a little bit, but as Kaelan finally found a slightly empty compartment, he gave a small wave to the students that were inside of the compartment and he found an empty spot that he could sit in. So, he smiled and said "Hey, hopefully you enjoy the trip!" Then, soon after, he sat down and brought up his book that was sitting in a small carry-on bag, getting comfortable in his seat and giving a silent sigh.

(Meet someone new)

Having bought a couple of things from the candy trolley, Dylan roamed around the train compartment in search for carriage to ride in. He passed a couple of that seemed a bit too hyped up for his likeness, plus the guy wasn't feeling so we'll from the previous incident moments ago at the candy trolley, so he needed to ride in one that wouldn't be too crazy, plus Everytime he rode the train, he felt anxious enough already. So that was the last thing he needed. Just going down the hallway of the train, there were other students of younger years running down and almost bumping into him, so he just decided to take the compartment that he had currently found to be mostly calmed at the moment. He didn't know anyone in it and it seemed to be mostly higher years and a couple of first year's, but he didn't know anyone in there. We'll, this was definitely gonna be a different experience, maybe it wouldn't turn out to be bad... just had to make sure not to piss of any of the older years and he would make it to hogsmeade. Dylan stepped forward silently as a church mouse and took a seat next to Kaelan, who seemed to be reading a book, but Dylan didn't interrupt the older guy with his book. Recalling back to the one time he did back at school and one of the older years setting books to chase him off for disturbing them. We'll, the boy was just trying to be friendly... so, he silently sat and looked out the window. Thinking to himself if he should have one of those droobles now or later. Eh, why not now and later, right? Reaching into his side pocket, he fished for a drooble.

As Kaelan silently read his book, he heard the door slide open and it caused him to look up, seeing that there was another student (Dylan) that entered through the compartment and Kaelan gave a small bit firm smile as he began to walk over and as Kaelan returned to his book, he noticed that the student sat right next to him, which was totally fine because the compartments did tend to be a little packed every now and again due to all of the students that were arriving, but it didn't really disturb Kaelan as he returned to his book and continued on with reading. Though, he felt the boy shift as he was looking for something and Kaelan dropped his book into his lap, peering over and seeing that the boy was snacking and that was one thing that Kaelan had forgotten, in which he reached down and began to dig into his little bag and pulling out a small piece of candy that he immediately popped into his mouth and then he looked over and said "Thanks for reminder, I forgot I had snacks". Kaelan then smiled softly at the student (Dylan), waiting for a response.

Dylan had managed to find some salt water taffy in his pocket along with the droobles, oh, right. He had forgotten about buying them from the airport in London. That place had the biggest candy store, two floors huge. But obviously he didn't dare buying that many sweets and carry them on the train. He would become an easy target to be mugged for all the sweets he would be carrying. So, he just bought a small bag full and hided them in his luggage. And obviously had to
stash a few pieces in his pocket. As, he was unwrapping one of the salt taffy, ocupied and not noticing he was being watched, he heard the older boy next to him speak up and Dylan looked up like a deer caught in headlights, he listened to him and nodded his head. "Erm, sure. Some salt water taffy? Or I also got droobles. I brought plenty of snacks from here to hogsmadow station." Dylan offered with a small smile back to him.Oh, wait, there were also some Bertie Botts every flavor beans, but he didn't dare offer those to anyone. He was gonna dispose of them, or was planning on donating the awful taste one's to a certain prankster. She could definitely have good use of them.

[Candy From the Trolley]

 

His question about the other amenities onboard had been met with the answer 'candy trolley.' Kyle considered that for a second, thinking, well that sounds promising. He stood up, making plans to see the other areas, exiting the compartment as he passed by Lee. "I'm going to check out the trolley… and other things," he replied with a smile, shrugging as he went. It was a bit hard to navigate the narrow path especially as students crowded it but has stalled him enough that he was caught by Niccolo. The guy said he wanted a tour as well; so they spent a few minutes going around to see what they can find. In those couple of minutes, he'd discovered that professors and prefects have their own compartment. He also got a peek at the storage compartment at the very back… then, of course, candy trolley where he purchased a couple of goodies.

 

When Kyle and Niccolo returned, there's more people in the compartment. "Sammie! Ariadne!" he greeted them with a friendly grin as he'd ducked back in. "Want some?" Kyle offered as he'd held up the small bag of sweets he'd gotten from the candy trolley. Just then, a knock came at the glass window of the door and he glanced up, recognising Mrs Smith. Kyle's lips twitched in amusement; he'd turned to nudge RJ. His mum was probably checking on him although... were parents allowed onboard?

He smirked at the response and the deer in headlights look that the guy (Dylan) was giving. Oh man, that reminded him of the night...Yeah, we won't go into that. He tried his best to forget those memories because it would just kill his mood. So, Kaelan simply took in a small sigh and tiled his head at the snacks that the guy began to mention, which made his stomach growl a little more since he only had one little hard candy and it was hard not to resist the food that someone was offering, which made Kaelan bring a finger to his chin and tap it against just the bottom of it, signaling that he was in deep thought and acting like the Ravenclaw that he was. 

 

"Now, that is a good question..." He said, his Scottish accent painting over his words. "I am not sure, because all of it sounds awesome..." He then removed his finger from his chin and placed both of his hands in his own lap. "Alright, I guess I will take a drobble!" Kaelan then flashed the guy a small smile, holding out his hand towards the guy. "I am Kaelan, by the way." Though, after that introduction, the last thing he was wanting to do was say his last name and avoid an unavoidable discussion about who he was related to. "I guess you were more prepared with snacks than I was."

Finding a compartment to settle in was proving to be harder than ever before. This was Cooper's third time riding the train and he didn't remember this struggle ever in the last two years. Were there more students coming to Hogwarts or something? His stupid trunk was still being lugged all around this freaking train and to be honest, the kid was exhausted. That was saying something for someone like Cooper, who could handle a lot with the endless energy he always seemed to have. Maybe he just didn't enough sleep last night? Either way, he found himself trying to get his trunk out of the way, which meant he kind of had to just climb a bit because there were so many kids in the way. He ended up climbing right over the luggage rack until eventually he just shoved his trunk there and collapsed a moment. Then he fumbled his way out, tumbling down and disappearing back into the hall of the train.
