Sorting Hat
1. You receive your letter of admittance for Hogwarts, what is your first thought?
'About time it arrived. I cannot wait to start classes.'
'My first time away from my family, I hope I make friends fast.'
'Oh I wonder what kind of spells we will be taught!'
'I want to leave now. I cannot wait to find out what lies for me there.'
'My letter arrived! Now to get into the house my parents were in.'
'...' You say nothing and run upstairs to your room to pack.
2. You are on the Hogwarts Express train for the first time. What do you do?
Find the first empty car and wait to see if anyone comes in to join you.
Visit every car and leave a lasting first impression to make sure that everyone knows your name.
Meet up with friends you have known prior to Hogwarts and ride up in car that your parents have specifically reserved for you.
Meet up with friends you have known prior to Hogwarts and ride up in car that your parents have specifically reserved for you.
Use all the money you have on you to raid the snack trolley and share your treats amongst your friends.
Respond to anyone who speaks to you first, but mainly people watch while taking mental notes about your peers.
3. On the train a Prefect stops you and asks if you will help a fellow first year find their cat. What do you do?
Nod to the prefect, and use what you know about cats to help find the lost pet before the train stops in Hogsmeade.
Agree to help because you know you are the best to do the job, and could find the cat the quickest.
You shake your head at the prefect because they should have known you have already been looking for the cat for the past five minutes.
You 'borrow' an other students rat and go off to find the cat using the pet in your hand as bait.
You figure helping out the prefect will help make a good name for yourself so you smile and look for the cat.
Not knowing the owner of the cat, you shrug, look for the cat if it happens to jump in your path back to your seat.
4. Hagrid has met all the new students at the boats and you now make your floating journey to the castle. What do you do?
Try to stand up in the boat and show off to the cute classmate in a nearby boat.
Talk to the people in the boat about your experience in boating that you learned from your father.
Listen intently to Hagrid as he gives all the students his opening remarks about the school.
Look into the dark waters and wonder what is lurking below the surface.
Talk with your friends about how amazing the castle looks at night time.
Remain quiet the whole way as you take in every aspect of the journey to your new home.
5. As all the new students file into the Great Hall, you stand up at the front and wait to be sorted. What do you do?
Try to listen carefully to what the sorting hat says to each student before you.
Whisper with your friends in line as the sorting begins.
Feel a bit apprehensive as you know you will have to sit up on the chair in front of the whole school.
Keep thinking the name of the house you want to be sorted into inside your head over and over.
Smile knowing what house you will be in with out a single doubt in your head.
Look around at all the older students as excitement covers over you about starting a new school.
6. It is time for you to be sorted and the sorting hat is placed on your head. Nothing happens, so what do you do?
Figure there is no more room for you in the other houses and wait for your eviction notice from the premises.
Start talking to the hat and notify it to which house you shall be sorted into.
Raise your hand and ask the sternest looking professor why the sorting has is inefficient.
Smile at those who have already been sorted into your house and wait patiently.
Sing a rhyme that matches one that you've heard the hat sing prior and hope he gets the point.
Do absolutely nothing, why should you fret? The hat will sort you and you rest assured on that fact.
7. You have just been escorted to your room in the house dormitories. How do you choose your bed?
Choose? Your bed has been automatically chosen by process of elimination. You choose the last remaining bed.
You close your eyes, stick out your hand and spin around. Where your finger points to when you stop is the bed you choose.
Crank on the tunes and play a game of musical beds dancing yourself to the bed that you happen to get to when the music stops.
A student behind you pushes you forward and allows you to graciously take the bed they didnt want so they could choose first.
You choose a bed by the window so you can have the moonlight shining down on your bed for those nights of isomnia.
The bed closest to the door so you can be the first to get to the bathroom and and the first to crash in their bed at night.
8. Your first meal in the great hall since the sorting and an older student accuses you of taking their seat. What do you do?
Move quickly, the last thing you need is to risk your placement in the school as a future prefect by messing up on your first day.
Make a quirky comeback that gets you some laughs and continue eating.
Ignore the prefect and hope they will drop it and leave you alone.
Apologize but try to see if maybe bribing them with your breakfast will grant you back in their favour.
Explain yourself clearly and comply, but not before you give them all the facts to clear your name.
Explain to the prefect who you are by giving them your name and wait for their apology.
9. Classes have begun and in your potions class you are told to find a partner. What do you do?
Turn to the person sitting next to you and conveniently ask if they would like to assist you as being your partner.
Spot a cute classmate two rows over, point from yourself to them and wink, hoping they get the point.
Wave to your friend who is in your same class and figure out if you will sit there or if they will come to your table.
Wait till everyone has found their partner and see who destiny has chosen for you to work with.
Give an evil stare to your new found enemy, glancing at someone they want to choose, and ask before your enemy can.
Find the person who you know will do the best job and help you ace the classwork assignment.
10. During your flying lesson you hurt yourself due to the fact that you were not paying attention and proceeded with the directions incorrectly. What do you do?
Find the strongest or cutest person in your class and ask if they will escort you to the hospital wing.
Shrug the injury off as 'just a flesh wound' and bare through the pain for the rest of the class.
Be the bigger person and tell the professor that you were not paying attention and see what they can do for your injury.
Try to forget the pain so that you do not leave your friend all by themselves in class.
Live in denial that your injury was self inflicted due to carelessness and ask to go to the hospital wing.
Sneak away quickly and go to the hospital wing to get fixed up before sneaking back and acting like nothing happened.
11. A ball is coming up and it appears that everyone is finding a date to attend it with. What do you do?
Nothing. You had known about this previously and have already found a date.
Scramble. You knew abou this ahead of time but being a procrastinator you waited until the last minute to find a date.
Bribe your best friend's date to attend the ball with you instead.
Search the castle for the cutest student and then in turn ask them right out to attend the ball with you.
Figure out which person would benefit you most as being your date and ask them to the ball.
Wait for the invitations to come in and then choose the best option for your date the day before the ball.
12. A war has broken out and people are choosing sides. What do you do?
Choose the middle to avoid controversy.
Study the pros and cons and out weigh the consequences before choosing.
Find out who your family is supporting and stand behind their decision.
Listen to your friends, and let them decide for you who you will support.
Find out if the school has chosen a stance on the war and agree with them to avoid getting kicked out.
Pick up a copy of the Daily Prophet and choose who to support by reading the stances chosen by the journalists.
