This is by far the longest and the worse he had to endure while on the job, he’d been going in and out of the hospital to check who else needed help from the blast site and then helping the other healers at the hospital with the complicated cases. JC stretched his arms and massaged his neck, trying to ease his exhaustion and tired muscles. He went to the pantry of the hospital and brew himself a hot chamomile tea, it’ll put his nerves at ease. Once done, he took a seat at one of the tables near the window and mulled over his thoughts regarding the event of the day. It wasn’t easy to see the dead bodies and the people who were shouting in pain and asking for help in that stadium. It was horrible to see such distressing scene. Until now, his mind is refusing to believe such thing could happen in an instant. He stared at the hot liquid in his cup as if seeing and watching the scene at the stadium over and over. It’s a very traumatic experience. He sighed and took a sip while looking outside. The panic is finally wearing off and the people by the entrance are lessening. JC leaned on his chair and closed his eyes in an attempt to relax his mind.

He was in that state when one of the Junior Healers came rushing inside the pantry to inform him that the Minister has finally awoken. JC scrambled to his feet, his tea completely forgotten, and ran toward the private recovery area reserved for high profile individual. He was given his gloves again after cleansing his hands on the way to the room. He also called Jared to inform him of the Minister’s situation. He stopped by the door, 2 Ministry Officials were stationed there as Minister's security. JC gave a curt nod to the two, one of them opened the door for him and Jared. Two Junior Healers went with them inside, JC instructed one of them to prepare the Calming Draught as soon as he detected the panic from the Minister. Minister Steelgrave, I’m JC, I’m one of the healers who were assigned to look after you. You are in St. Mungo’s Madam. Her reaction is expected, she’s probably in state of shock and confusion right now. I’d like to request if you can please settle down as we conduct further checks. He gave a nod to the other junior healer to check her medical stats while the other one gave him the Calming Draught which he added to her IV. We’ve given you calming draught for now. How are you feeling Madam? The painkiller has been prepared, depending on what she's currently feeling, they will need to administer the painkiller regularly. He would imagine she’s in a lot of pain because of the effect of the Skelegro.

It felt like waking up in a cloud. Could have be worse, but it still felt weird enough. As Sherlock slowly opened his eyes, he was suddenly surrounded by bright lights, and sound coming rushing down his ears. He tried to look around, quickly stopped because his bed was moving too damn much. Ok, he told himself, the bed can't be moving... And it wasn't, obviously. Only his head had been pounding like crazy making look like the bed and all his surroundings were moving out of sync.

Everything had happened so quickly. They were having fun one time, and the second later, it was chaos. Sherlock gasped, remembering his friends, and his heartbeat rushed to the high, uneven and stressing. He tried to sat on the bed, fighting against the sheets he was tucked in, his eyes expressing so well the fear that was slowly invading his mind. "... BECKS!!! Beckett! Leslie.... My friends... Esme!... IMO!!

Sherlock was now screaming, looking around and fighting with the sheets, with the UVs, about to tear one from his arm, in his desperate attempt to stand up and look around to find his friends, because... Because he needed to see them, he needed to know they weren't dead... He couldn't face the fear of them being dead: he needed to know!

Unlike Ace, Cass' injuries weren't as severe and had passed out due to pure exhaustion exerted from all the stress from the incident and her giving birth prematurely. The healing potions worked wonders and who knows how many hours had passed by the time her eyes fluttered open. The pain was there, but dull -more of a nuisance than anything. For a second she was confused, her brain registering what had happened and tried to sit up, but hissed loudly due to the C-section incision that had recently taken place. Right...right. Everything slowly started to piece itself together and luckily wasn't alone, otherwise she'd freak out. Roisin was at her bedside and although confused as to how she knew she was in recovery, she was grateful that she had company. "Hey..." She said weakly, but her anxiety started to get the best of her as Ace's condition came to her mind and wanted to know how Amara was doing. Her eyes started to fill with tears, mostly due to her own hormones, and looked around worried, "My little girl. Is she okay? I never got to meet her yet. And Ace? He was on the floor. Is he okay?" Those two were her whole world and if something happened to them, she didn't know how she'd be able to cope.

It felt like he had been sleeping for an entire week. Dylan opened his eyes slowly, grunting and hissing out of pain, reaching out to touch his right arm as gingerly as possible. It was the one that hurt the most, and turned to look at it, noticing the splint as he blinked several times to try and get rid of the drowsiness. Someone's screams made him snap his eyes wide open and turned to the source of them, finally acknowledging the many people lying in beds as he was hit with the memories of the Quidditch match. He coughed and and turned to look for Lorcan, but was nowhere to be seen. "Lor..." He muttered in a raspy voice. He just needed to know if she was okay, the answers to what had happened would come after, though it was difficult not to feel uneasy at it when his eyes landed on the Minister of Magic, and managed to sit up as slowly as possible, his head spinning and feeling heavy, but nothing he couldn't deal with. "Aurors... We need Aurors guarding this room." You didn't have to be an expert, nor too smart to realize she was in a very vulnerable position and needed protection, though as of now, he had no idea it had been a direct attempt towards the woman. Being injured and St. Mungo's however, made her an easy target. He looked at the Healer (JC), before scanning the room, but no, Lorcan was nowhere to be found and he clenched his jaw out of concern. Please, let her be okay... she had been through so much already.

Roisin wasn't going to leave Cass' bedside, not during all of this. She ignored most of what was going on in the room around them, and even though it took a few hours, eventually Cass did wake up. Rosi's face stretched into a kind, loving smile and she squeezed Cass' hand before releasing it. "Hey there," she said gently. "Your daughter is fine... they have her in the NICU. Healer Weasley told me she's a fighter." Roisin's eyes flickered a moment, then added, "She's strong. They said she'll be fine, but she'll have to stay in the hospital a short time, until she's strong enough to leave." Roisin was not a fan of infants and babies, but this was one of her closest friends and she wanted everything for them. She wanted that little girl to be strong and healthy. "Ace was taken for surgery right after you passed out. He's been out of surgery for about half an hour. He's in the intensive care unit last I heard, but he pulled through." Roisin felt tears stinging her eyes but she fought them away with ease. "You're both so lucky, Cass." She meant that, too. She wasn't going to mention how many the death toll was up to now.

Adeline had taken Dylan to St. Mungo's and told Lorcan to hang in there and that she would come back for her later. Mostly to patch up and fix her wrist, but another healer had gotten to her. She had appreciated it and even though it had been uncomfortable, the healing pain was fine and she dealt with it with minimum discomfort. She had thanked the healer and then taken her time to gather herself and her thoughts about what had happened. She had placed her hair behind her back and looked around the stadium, or what was left of it and couldn't help but feel like she was going to throw up. Her ability captured every single ounce of people's fear at once, which made it hard for her to concentrate on any single thing. Naturally she knew something terrible had happened and most likely on purpose but that was the last thing on her mind.

In a swift second, Lorcan had apparated back towards St. Mungo's. Sure, she should have stayed back and investigate, help out if she could, at least use her ability to calm down some of the victims, remove their fear if anything, but Dylan was on her mind and all she cared about. She had been waiting by the recovery room and her eyes scanned it. If she had stopped to see clearly, she would have noticed many familiar faces but her attention immediately landed on the blond man. She hurried towards him, excusing herself through the people around and sighed in relief. She stood by her side, slowly approaching him so as to not to scare him. "Hey love," she said softly, placing her hand over his forearm gently. "You gave me quite a scare there, but everything is fine now. You are fine."

Cass grasped onto every single one of Rosi's word as if they were a life line. It brought her a great sense of relief that Amara was doing fine considering she was so early, but it still saddened her greatly that she hadn't gotten to hold her and greet her properly. This thought brought on the waterworks. Silent tears fell down her cheeks and wasn't quick to wipe them off either. This had all been so very exhausting and it was the only way her body seemed to wanted to react. "Bu- but that's good. It's good. She's got both of our stubbornness. She's going to be okay." She said more to herself than anything else, so she could believe those words. She sniffled and wiped her tears because she had to be strong and now was no time to fall into tatters since after Rosi gave her the update on Ace, it seemed she was the only one out of the three that was in the best shape - and that was saying something. Still, her last words resonated and nodded to herself as she recalled the explosion and shook her head forlornly. "Oh, Rosi all those people...the bodies. I -" She reached for her hand and squeezed it, realizing that she more than likely was there, but the last she could recall was that the VIP area had been the main target. At least she remembered all the pressure and destruction coming from that direction. "Weren't you in the VIP?" Surely Rosi must have been invited so it shocked her that her friend looked unharmed.

Because he needed to see them, he needed to know they weren't dead... He couldn't face the fear of them being dead: he needed to know!

Becks had slowly awoken from the calming drought and he was being rolled on the bed, right over there, by the recovery room, where it doesn't smell like blood and explosion. The buzzing in his ears continued as the only thing he could hear, and for that special moment of clarity, Beckett assumed that being the blast of magical creation that most of his wounds would be impossible to heal. He saw himself as the next Helen Keller of the magical world, and that itself brought him some sort of twisted sense of acceptance to the fact he was never gonna hear again. Not by natural means anyway.

They rolled him over to the recovery room and Becks turned just as Sherlock was doing a desperate attempt to flee. Maybe it was the calming draught tho. Because he was still angst about his brother and then he still wanted his mom and then he was still worried about Esme, and Immie and Immie's mom.. and all those people! Maybe the drought was keeping him calmed because if he wasn't he was going to be just as Sherlock was, going insane with everything that was happening. But he was just looking at Sherlock, trying to figure out what he was saying and what did the healer-nurse was telling him. Becks opened his mouth. "SHERLOCK!" he said not screaming, but in a very loud voice. He didn't know it was loud, he couldn't hear himself and that alone made him scared again. He. Couldn't. Hear. HIMSELF. Just the buzzing.. the whistling.

The cheers, the shouting, the joy that engulfed every single person at the match still surrounded her. Bee was up her seat, cheering for the Bat's seeker and also feeling bad because the Kestrels had had such a good start, but the red team had quickly evened the score, then surpassed it and she always felt sad whenever that happened. And then... nothing. She had been unconscious for hours now, with no recollection of what had been done to her, not knowing Levi wasn't bad her side and badly injured. She hadn't seen the faces of the Healers that had treated her and had no idea of those who had gone through the Operation Room, nor of those with whom she shared the room with. There was some laughter and joy, concern, the arrival of new babies that, despite being so tiny and weak, would grow up to show everyone else there was light soon after darkness and that everything was possible.

In the meantime, she was trapped inside her own mind, too sedated to wake up. There were dancing lights and whispers, loads of voices but she couldn't make any face, nor any word. She was covered in orange and yellow paste, from her face to her legs, her hair pulled to the side and the area that had been treated for her fracture being a bald spot as the Healer had to shave that part to evaluate the damage; her ears had been covered and her  Her eyes were purple and swollen but, despite the awful sight and how discouraging her physical appearance was, Bianca was out of danger. Or at least that was what it looked like, so far.

Rosi had no way of sympathizing with the situation Cass was in. She didnt talk about it often, or really at all, but she had miscarried the one and only time she had been pregnant, the accidental time, the time she and Michael thought maybe they could actually have a family. She hadnt wanted a child, ever, and then had accepted it only to lose it early on. She hadn't formed a tangible attachment, but the loss had torn her marriage to shreds. Looking at Cass in this pain, she let her friend cry but remained stoic beside her because thats what she needed, someone to be there. Rosi wouldn't let Cass go it alone. She nodded gently, a silent agreement about the sight of the stadium, the bodies she had seen littering the fallen debris. It was horrifying. She held Cassandras hand and sighed. "I chose to sit with the Kestrels fans. I didn't want the attention of the VIP section. I had no idea what I was avoiding... What a lucky choice. As soon as it all happened I transfigured and flew out. I circled over the stadium and when I saw you and Ace, I came right here."

Cass would never be able to thank Rosi enough for the support she was giving her. Had she been all alone in this bed, she wouldn't know how she would have reacted. She liked to think she was a strong and resilient women, but her whole world literally had come crashing down in a matter of seconds. Hearing Roisin speak with such confidence that both Amara and Ace would be fine gave her deep solace that soon enough she'd be reunited with her little family. She had given her strength to be hopeful and appreciated her friendship so much more. She nearly gasped, her free hand going to her chest as Rosi recounted her story and how she had dodged serious injury or worse. "Oh my gosh Rosi. You...You could have..." She didn't dare finish her sentence and asked, "Do they have any leads of the motive? I assume the Minister. This was no accident. Any word on her condition?" She didn't mean to bog her down with a million questions at once, but felt so disconnected from the world and had no idea how many hours had passed since the attack happened.

Rosi wished she could do more for Cass and thought the best there was just meant sitting with her and trying to reassure her. Soon enough Cass would be out of the bed and able to visit her husband and daughter. Rosi knew Cass had a lot of questions, but felt pretty useless in that regard. "I dont know. Its all very hush right now I think. I saw ministry officials walking around, but no one has talked to me yet." Roisin knew this was going to be the topic of all news stands for a long time. "I hope it wasn't done on purpose, but it stinks of foul play..." she said with a dark look. "Listen, you and Ace are welcome to stay with me if you'd like, once youre discharged. My house elves can help look after you both, and then you won't have to worry about the little stuff while you visit the hospital for your daughter."

Nothing else could have calm him down faster than hearing the voice of his friend screaming at him. Or rather speaking really really loud. Sherlock looked in his direction, ripping the IV from his arm and running towards Sherlock’s bed. He slid between people coming up and down the recovery room, avoiding nurses and healers all the same, and finally dropped on Becks bed. Sherlock hugged him, all happy to see him, happy he was alive. He had no idea what kind of wound his best friend had suffered during the explosion.

I was so worried for you! How are you?” He managed to say as soon as he broke the hug to have a look at him. That’s when he began to look around, “Do you know where Leslie is? I can’t see him in the room... Maybe he’s still being treated by healers? And Esme, Imogene and her Mother? Did ... Did you saw them? I havent... I just woke up...” And then suddenly he stopped talking, his head, once again, moving and turning too much. Earth wasn’t turning in the right way, so it seemed....

Sherlock seemed happy to see him and Becks was smiling as he came running over.  He didn't know what was going on. He looked at Sherlock and hugged him, still sore from the bumps and bruises. He never realized that Sherlock moved his mouth that fast when he was talking, but he did notice how his eyes went all fiery and sparkly when he was worried or happy?

He made a face and started to tear up. "I can't hear..." he said before grasping Sherlock's hands, scared out of his mind. What if he could never hear his friend's voice again? Maybe his parents were going to give him back, who wants a defective kid?  He mouthed, "Sherlock, what am I going to do?"

There was something in this hug that calmed down Sherlock and helped with his hurting head. He closed his eyes, just a few, allowing the calm to take him and slow down the spinning he keeps feeling. After a little while, he looks at Beckett and frowns as his friends tells him that he can’t hear him. “You can’t hear me?” He says, talking slower this time, hoping that the puffball can, at least, read his lips. “What happened? Is it because of the blast?”

Sherlock kept watching him with a face of horror, not understanding why his friend couldn’t hear. Himself had had some auditory problems at the beginning, that high pitch whistling was not a joke, but it had receded, only remained the weird motion of the earth all around him telling him he didn’t left the stadium completely unscathed. “Did the healer checked for your ears? Maybe you got something in them?” He told Beckett, hopeful. With all the flying object the explosion had caused, it was possible right? Sherlock was mentally crossing his fingers, hoping it was only that, something blocking his hearing canal, or so...

Sherlock didn’t wait, he raised his hand and waved it around, hoping to be seen by a staff member or a healer: “Can someone check my friend’s ears? He can’t hear a bloody thing!

After Colleen had finished with Lae's emergency surgery, she had taken the opportunity to help with other patients that were coming in the triage and also assisting family members with information that were flocking in by the dozens. Despite how crazy the hospital looked, it was nothing compared to the catastrophe of the stadium and preferred staying at the hospital if she were being honest. Every now and then she came back to the recovery room, checking on the patients she had assisted and also those that needed another dosage of pain meds or anything else in between that was needed. She stopped to see how Lae was doing, assessing her vitals, and despite being unconscious all the monitors pointed to her being stable. Just as she was about to leave and pull the privacy curtain back, a man approaches her in the most manic way and her baby blue eyes narrows as she recognizes who he was. "I'm going to need you to calm down. This is a recovery room and if you don't park yourself back to your bed in two seconds I'll sedate you." Colleen was normally patient and her bedside manners were more impeccable than this, but this guy had been difficult from the start. She wasn't going to have him raise hell where people were trying to recover from their traumatic injuries and points her wand at him, and with her head gestures for him to go back to his bed. He seemed smart enough to listen to her and not get a red head with a wand pointed at him angry and once they were standing in his area, snapped the privacy curtain shut. "I personally did her surgery. I had to do an emergency c-section on your son because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. He is in stable condition and in the NICU recovering. For now we cannot bring him out but you're more than welcomed to see him through the glass partition." She sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder, smiling this time, "It's okay. He's okay and she's going to be okay. They're in the best care."

Before the explosion, Nic carried so much anger toward Lae. It hurt him that she’d kept the news from him for so many months. The logical part of him knew what Mat had said on the dock of their house when he’d finally gotten up the gonads to tell someone about Lae’s predicament. That perhaps she hadn’t told Nic at first because she was scared. This wasn’t exactly a planned pregnancy for either of them. That being said, with how bitterly their relationship ended, he couldn’t quite believe that’s all there was to it. It’d be one last middle finger to the man that broke her heart. So, yeah, he wanted to believe that Lae could put giving him a shot at being the father his father never was above their disaster of a breakup, but he just couldn’t trust her. Especially with her asshole of a cousin whispering in her ear. Any chance of them being civil one day went into the wind the moment she lied for months. Nic would be there for their son and do the best damn job he could do even if he had no role model to look to on how exactly to do that job. But for the mother of his child, he held only animosity. And when he looked Lae so weak and helpless in her hospital bed, his mind didn’t stay on her long. Perhaps he should feel shame for that, but he doesn’t. It would take more than an explosion to look at her and not feel angry, and with her unconscious, he couldn’t turn to her for his questions or answers. Why was she at the game? Did she even care about being safe and protecting their child? If she wanted to kill their child, she could’ve at least said something. Despite never being given a chance to weigh in on whether they kept the baby, he would’ve chosen Lae to continue on with the pregnancy. He knew it’d explode his life, especially with Mags, but life had presented him with a new path: fatherhood. Nic and Mags hadn’t really discussed kids, yet, as it felt like something far in the future with them. But now as he faced that path, he realized it’s one that he craved. The chance to right all the wrongs that his own father had caused. To be there for his son like his father wasn’t. To make sure that the child would never feel lost or unloved. Have a hug instead of a firm handshake. Selfless love instead of a trust fund. The healer next to Lae’s bed scolds him and threatens him until he takes a seat back on his own, albeit still fidgeting.  I don’t need more tests. He replies, curtly to the newest healer arrival, and he doesn’t. He feels fine and doesn’t need any more stupid potions or tests. He needs answers. Nic listens quietly, body becoming more and more still as the healer speaks to him about the procedure and finally ends up a hand on his shoulder and “comforting” words. He shrugs her hand off his arm and gives her a piercing gaze of anger that’s brimming with anguish. The woman could speak all day about how his son was okay, but he’s not in the room. And worse, he’s not where he’s supposed to be. Two months early. He wasn’t ready for the world. I don't need lied to right now. He’s okay…for now. Nic hops up from his bed once more, not giving a damn if they sedated him. He was going to meet his son. Make sure she’s taken care of. He comments on his way out of the recovery ward because he’d bet on the sandwiches in his lost jeans that Sebastian was in the waiting room throwing a fit. Lae needed someone by her side during her recovery that cared for her. He’s not that person. Not anymore and not ever again. It wasn’t Lae’s fault there was an explosion at the stadium that caused their son to be born early. But he would still blame her for it. It’s not long before Nic is escorted back into the ward. Apparently it’s pretty obvious you’re a patient if you’re in a hospital gown that has your butt hanging out. He heads to his bed and immediately starts digging around in his covers and cabinets near his bed trying to hunt down his clothes, causing a bit of a racket as he works. Even a pair of jeans would be better than nothing. He could throw them on, turn this gown into some sort of shirt, and head to the NICU. Just need to find his damn clothes.

Franky had let go of Val's hand as soon as they walked into the Recovery Room, so she could go check on her siblings and Ryan. The place was not as silent as she had expected it to be. There were some unconscious people that she avoided looking at for too long when she walked past them, others talking, recently reunited with their loved ones. Her heart raced harder and harder as she kept on walking, Mason nowhere to be found. She was getting ready to rush around the room in search for a Healer to ask what had happened, if he had gotten sick or if his surgery had gotten some complications, when she got to the last bed and saw him there. Franky barely recognized him at first glance, having to double check once she felt like he was someone she knew. He was so battered and injured, he didn't look like himself. Franky started tearing up once more, approaching his bed. "Mace?" Her voice came out like a whisper, and she was so afraid to get close to him because he looked just so very vulnerable. It would have been easier had he looked like he was peacefully sleeping, but the bruises and cuts gave him a complete different look. "Mace, it's me, Franky. It's Helen..." Her voice cracked at the end, and sat down next to him, on that uncomfortable chairs they gave visitors as if to make them leave soon. But no one was going to take her out, nor away from him. She was the only person he had as of now, with his family totally oblivious about the incident, it seemed. She pulled her legs up and hugged them, resting her cheek on her knees as she looked at him, trying to cry in silence since she didn't want to disturb his sleep, regardless of it being provoked by painkillers and other potions. "I'm here. You don't have to go through this on your own anymore." Franky sniffed and reached out to touch his hand, barely curling his fingers with hers. "You know... I came as soon as heard about the explosion. I just couldn't stay. I needed to be there for Paris... my Paris." She chuckled under her breath, wiping the tears that fell down. "...I say no wealth is worth my life. There is the heat of love, the pulsing rush of longing, the lover's whisper, irresistible- magic to make the sanest man go mad." Franky couldn't stop sobbing, all those supressed emotions and feelings for him that she had been working on letting out, little by little, were now pouring out of her. Everything she could do was hope it wasn't too late. "You've made me go mad, too. You've made me weak, Mace, and this is the only kind of weak I'd like to feel in my entire life. You're that magic that I didn't know I needed, nor wanted. You've helped me reconnect with myself, my old self. I'm sorry I didn't say it earlier. I'm sorry I didn't see it earlier." She fell silent, only looking at him and keeping him company. That was the least she could do.

Colleen could only handle one problem at a time. She steeled herself to sigh and woosa for a second because the last she checked most of the patients, if not all were recovering and needed ample rest in order to do so. The incessant screaming from the children made her blink and slowly turn in their direction before averting her gaze to the man, placing a finger to allow her one second. She could understand that hearing loss was a very scary thing, however, shouting like a banshee wasn't going to solve anything either and a little bit of patience went a long way. As they could tell the healers were inundated and pointed her wand towards the boy, who wasn't even the patient, waving and trying to flag people down by shouting (Sherlock), "Silencio.". This would surely grab his attention and gave him a pointed look as she placed her index finger over her lips to indicate he pipe down. She wasn't against kicking someone out for disruptive behavior and unless his friend was on the verge of the death then he could wait a moment as there were others in the shared space who were barely holding on after their surgeries. Turning back to Nicolas she had explained the situation to him and naturally was met with resistance. In that moment a fellow healer entered and smiled at her, "It's quite alright, Aurelie. I'm giving him an update on his son in the NICU" His behavior hadn't bothered her. She didn't take it personal and knew that in his position, she really wouldn't want flowery words and just results. Unfortunately, this was the best she could offer him and hadn't sugar coated anything. For now his son was stable and hopefully would be able to leave the hospital once he made a full recovery. She took a step back as he walked off and one of the security wizards was going to go after him, but held her hand up to gesture to let him go. He'd get booted back and that he did and followed him with her eyes as he rummaged through his belongings. "Mister Alcaldo we have all been through something rather traumatic, we don't need to add seeing your rear end onto the list too." She commented casually as she went into one of the cabinet and magically opened to reveal some fresh clothing which the hospital provided to long term patients so they weren't in that blasted gown all day and could walk the halls freely without mooning people. "Here. The NICU is at your left hand side when you leave the room." And with that she snapped closed his privacy curtain and walked towards the two boys, her expression still serious, but had softened when she eyed the patient (Beckett). Turning to his friend, she lifted the Silencio and said, "Shouting in the recovery room is not allowed. I understand you're worried about your friend, but there are dying patients here and don't need to hear screaming." With her attention back on the patient, she quietly examined his ears, taking an instrument and checking both ears. She leaned back and pointed towards her lips as she made sure to speak in a slow way so he could understand, "Your ears suffered traumatic injury when the explosion happened. It's temporary. I'm going to give you a vial that will help with the healing process, but in the mean time I suggest you get rest. This will make you groggy. I know it's scary, but the hearing loss will only last for a few hours." At this she pulled out a neon vial and had him drink from it, smiling as he finished and collected it. "I'll check on you shortly." And with that she was gone for now

The peaceful feeling was still ever present for Mason, being none the wiser of his situation - save for the momentary lapse in lucidness, but was quickly met by his brain turning off. In his unconscious state there was really much he could think about as his brain rested, void of all the chaos that surrounded him. He had no idea that he had been alone for hours when others were able to quickly be accompanied by their family relatives or friends. The surgery he had was major and honestly it was better in this state of oblivion as there was no pain or worry of what had happened. Franky had joined him and oh, how he wished he could have heard those beautiful words for it would have made him smiled brightly at her and made him fall even harder for her. More hours had passed, with the change of shifts happening, patients being wheeled in and out. The lights had dimmed to provide them more comfort throughout the night and it wasn't until the wee hours of the morning that the boy had some sense of brain activity. It all started with his eyeballs moving and slight flinch of his index finger. And then everything stilled once again - silence took over but after a few minutes, with the only sound around them being the tick tock of the clock Mason took a chortled, gurgled type of gasp. His eyes opened as he tried to take his first breath, but my gosh it was painful and groaned out loud as the pain seeped into his system and his brain registered that there was something wrong. Luckily the pain meds did work their magic enough to make it tolerable, but still hurt like a bitch His eyes were full of fear and looked confused as his blurred vision landed on a silhouette. Franky had jumped to her feet as soon as she heard him and taken his hand. Immediately he felt a warm touch and squeezed the hand that held his lightly. After a few seconds of trying to blink himself into clarity was when he recognized Franky. At first he was confused. Was this a dream? "B-babe?" He closed his eyes, feeling so woozy and out of it, his breathing shallowed but become a little bit calmer. "Oh...Franz. I wish you were here." Mace said barely above a whisper. In his mind he thought he was dreaming. "I miss you." The whispered continued but Franky rubbed his hand as softly as possible and spoke up to tell him she was, in fact, there, but he protested saying she wasn't. She confirmed this with a soft kiss on his lips and slowly opened his eyes again. It couldn't be! This had brightened his spirts considerably and stared at her in awe. His mind was all jumbled but tried to focus on the happy feeling he felt that she was there, though then he frowned as everything came flooding back to him and felt his breathing quickened and groaned once again. "Frankie..." The realization hit him. He had almost died and although he didn't know the extent of the injuries they felt so serious and by looking at her face full of dried up tears and puffy eyes he could only assume the worse. His eyes, too, filled with tears that involuntarily fell down his cheeks. He wasn't crying from the pain or discomfort, but because she had been the very last thought in his mind and the very first vision he saw once he woke up from his slumber. "Y-you came....you..." But he was tired and very worn out and Franky was trying to gently shush him so he didn't exert energy, but he was being a little stubborn, "I-I almost...I almost never saw you again. You're my...everything." Again more gentle cooing and shushing from her end and another kiss to try to soothe him. The mere idea had broken his heart and was so overcome by emotion but tried his best to steel himself and held onto her hand. The realization of being so closed to death hit close to home and said in between long winded pauses, "Franky... I... love... you." There. He had to say it because hell if he knew what was going to happen to him next and she just needed to know that he loved her. He wanted to tell her all the time, but it hurt getting rejected or shut down, so he resorted to other flowers words but nothing were as powerful as those three words. At this he finally shut up, mostly from his own exhaustion and closed his eyes momentarily, for the longest time before opening his eyes once more and repeated the same three words, this time his eyes looking at her without the fear or confusion, "I love you."

Waking up was kind of like emerging from deep waters. It took him some time to be fully aware, it felt like time was skipping at random, there were flashes in his mind but they’re all blurred. It was so hard to concentrate on one thing because there were a lot of things flashing at once. Alaric moaned, he tried to shake his head, but the pain was so great. The pain in his head is like trying to tear itself apart. He moaned again as if wanting to scream, he was sweating but still felt like he’s freezing, probably because of the blood lost. He could feel all the pain registering in his mind now.

Just then, he heard something…a voice…but he couldn’t understand what she’s saying. He was struggling to open his eyes to see who it was. It was terrifying and scary to have no control of your body and the desperation to do something about it but there’s nothing else to do but moan. When he’s able to open his eyes again, there were flashes of light but he’s not sure if he’s just hallucinating something. Then he heard something again…a voice! This time it’s clearer and heard Byrne and Alaric. Who’s Byrne? Who’s Alaric? Who are they calling? He’s panicking now and he tried to scream but no sound came, if it’s because of the ventilator or inability to do it, he didn’t know anymore. Where am I? He didn’t know what to do and he suddenly felt so tired. There it was again, the voice again, it’s becoming clearer and clearer. His heart skipped a bit, no idea why but he understood what she wanted him to do. His hand twitched again as he moved it in response to her request.
