Overall character history:

Lake grew up as a sheltered girl. She was spoiled as a kid because her parents are always out and can’t take care of her themselves. Her mother died from a horrible car accident when she was young and since then, she was even more spoiled by her father who buried himself in his work as a corporate lawyer. She was in the middle of her high school years when her father got a job offer to move to another states and spearhead the legal team of the company’s expansion. This left her with no choice but to move with her father and start all over again in the town of Watfield, Massachusetts.

Overall character history:

• Grew up in a sheltered middle-class family in a small rural town.
• Her family moved into a big city when her mother started a small bake shop.
• Her father died in a hit and run incident when she was fourteen years old.
• Her mother fell into depression and failed to be a mother to Vee so she was forced to grow up quickly and fend for herself and her mother who can't even get up from the bed since her father died.
• She took some odd jobs after school and the weekends to have additional income aside from her father's insurance money.
• Esther took her own ife when Vee was just 15 years old. Vee found her lifeless on the bed with and empty pill bottle on her hand.
• Vee jumped from one foster home to another and a couple of group homes for a while before she was found by the Ravensward Academy and told that she was "special".
• Vee finds out that her parents were fairies who ran away from their families when they fell in love because of family rivalry.
• She got her fire fairy abilities from her father's side, while her mother's side were mostly light fairies.
• Vee is starting to have a new life at Ravensward among people like her.
