New Kids Mentors
This is a topic for students who have been on HO and want to be a Mentor. If you are new to the site and need someone to mentor you, please see THIS TOPIC.
If you would like to become a Mentor, read the information below. Thorough instructions and mentoring material will be available for you. After you post here, a PM will be sent to you for more information.
In order to be a New Kids Mentor, you must:
• Be an active member of HO for at least 6 months (or 2 academic terms).
• Be a 3rd-year or higher. (This requirement does not apply to you if you are a Prefect/HS or you have been a mentor on a previous character. Though we will no longer allow 1st Year characters to mentor.)
• Report your finished sessions and RP Links in the Mentor Report Log topic.
• Contact the students that are assigned to you within 3 days. (Please carry out your mentoring in the same PM)
• Ask your Mentees to fill out the Mentor Feedback Form when you finish mentoring them.
Perks: As a Mentor, you can receive up to 50 House points per PM Mentoring session that you do and you can receive additional points (a maximum of 50) for the RP session.
Warnings: If you receive 3 or more poor reports or you engage in any behavior on or off the site that reflects poorly on the site, yourself, or the program, you might be removed from the program.
