Sherlock was happy... Because Beckett had surprised him some days ago, and it was his turn to surprise him with a little weekend of pure madness. He knew that the Puffball liked music, so what better than to go together at a music festival, have the kind of junk food they served in those place, for like... all the weekend... barely sleep, and jump and dance all the two days weekend... It was the occasion to unleash and just feel, have fun, and be drained of the tension that could put you down otherwise...

 

He had managed to get the motherly authorization to get Enid to come. After all, if they didn't want her daughter to resent the vacations as they managed for himself, they ought to give the girl some breather. Sherlock guessed that they were now doing what they did to him: make her work as their apprentice during all vacations. But Sherlock knew that Enid needed to be a teen too, that she need to see something else than the workshop, that she needed to make friends and mistakes... because that's how you grow too...

Thankfully, Shannon, his mother, shared his thoughts, and probably his father as well. Convincing them to let Enid come for the weekend hadn't be as difficult as he thought it would be.

 

So Sherlock had picked Enid up on their way to King's Station, and they all took the Hogwarts Express. It was weird to take the train but not go to school, and it was exciting at the same time, like when you do something that looks like something you shouldn't, you are not allowed to... when in fact you are...

 

From the Hogsmeade station, Sherlock had led them straight to the festival, and the place where the tents where arranged, he counted the number to finally find the one he had rented for the duration of the festival, and pulled open the fabric door. "Welcome, welcome! Here is our house for the next two days! Come on guys, let's check it out!" He said with excitement in his voice, letting them enter, and following soon afterwards...

To say that she was excited to be here... yes, that was an understatement. Enid had been surprised by her adoptive mother, to learn that she was allowed to go to the Mystic Heights Festival. Honestly, she had dreaded the date as it came closer and closer, guessing that she wouldn't be able to attend this one in a lifetime event. Ok, maybe not one in a lifetime, but to a teenager, everything takes dramatic heights, especially when you miss them, and all the other students in Hogwarts talk about it... and you feel totally stupid and left aside.

 

So, learning that she was to go with her half brother, and that he had been the one asking for the authorization to take her! That was a lot. Enid knew the difficult relationship that remained between father and son since his coming out, which made this gesture even more meaningful. She was wondering how to repay him, and hopefully would find a way, at one point.

 

The day had quickly arrived, and they were gone, taking the usual train to Hogsmeade. But the day was anything but usual. Enid was in her summer clothes, excited and curious to see what the festival was about. She had no idea who was performing, only that she wanted to go, to see everything and enjoy every second of it. Plus she was to share some time with Sherlock andBeckett and this was something she was always happy about. She loved Sherlock and Beckett was a kind and funny man. She was also curious to know when they would finally get their wedding day, now that they had been engaged for some time and it seemed to last... maybe she would ask about that... Given she found an appropriate timing...

 

Enid followed Sherlock and Beckett thought the village and the location of the festival, and gasped at the sight of the campgrounds, and when Sherlock stopped, opening the tent, she entered, and gasped some more! The place was huge! And there were real rooms, not like a real tent. More like a summer house disguised under the shape of a tent! What a relief, to be honest, to see that she could have a bedroom to herself that could close... Because, well, she damn well know that Beck and her brother were a couple, and she had no intention to hear whatever they were doing in their bed, in the dead of the night! "THIS is Fantastic!!!! and huge! Dang! Becks! look at that! Thank you Sherlock! That is awesome!" She said hugging her brother as he entered, closing the door behind him. That weekend was beginning on a great note!

The said Puffball loved music. Once upon a time, Beckett had this wild dream of becoming a performer, and he even did some solo singing at school, whenever he made sure no one could hear him, because he was extremely shy when it came to people hearing him sing! He knew he sucked, but he didn't like it when other people could witness it! So, it was now closed to him singing to a big, full stadium (the shower) and all his original songs (the songs he liked a lot and listened to constantly on the radio, let's remember Beckett has a wild imagination here). 

 

So he was quite surprised when Sherlock came home with the news that they were going to go to the Music Festival. Beckett didn't question the how or why, he just jumped Sherlock's bones and gave him a VERY good reward for it. So now here they were! they made a pit stop to pick up Enid, something Beckett was quite happy to do, because he knew Sherlock and Enid had a very rocky start to their relationship and now it was so good to see them how much they had thrived! It made Beckett happy for the both of them. 

 

 "Magic is great!" Beckett commented as he looked around the splendid tent from the inside. Of course, outside it was all dust and smells that ranged from the delicious to the I don't even what to know what the heck is that... inside? it was a little piece of heaven. He wrapped his arms around Sherlock and placed a kiss on his lips. "Thank you, my love. This is so amazing!" he smiled and then turned to Enid and laughed. "You bet your sweet cinnamon buns it's fantastic!" he told her. "We should freshen up and head on over to see what we can score for dinner before rolling around and see who's performing where," he suggested, taking his backpack and Sherlocks, heading to what he assumed was going to be their room. "Hey Enid, who you want to see first?" he asked.

Sherlock quickly freed himself from the luggages on the bigger bedroom, the one that had a king size bed, and was like the master bedroom of the tent. He steered and grinned happy. There was an overall feel of vacations, and, even if it wasn't exactly the case, it was a well deserved break in the routine of their lives. Beckett worked a lot to ensure they had a roof over their heads and something to eat everyday, it was only fair that Sherlock do something for them. He had managed to get tickets through friends of his who were performing, and... yes, he had hoped to be called to MC the event, but somehow, it hadn't pulled through, like most of his gig, lately.

 

The more he was thinking about that, the more he felt that he was attacking the business the wrong way and his little idea, which had began as a little frail seed in his mind, was becoming bigger and bigger at each failed attempt... He was frustrated, and bored of trying, waiting, failing, it was time to take the bull by the horns and go all in. 

 

Beckett was happy with the surprise weekend, and Enid was over the moon. Sherlock was so happy to have convinced his mother that Enid deserved some fun! She was just a teenager, and she should not stay all vacations forced to work for the shop. She needed some excitement and freedom to be a teen, under the supervision of her older brother of course!

 

Sherlock quickly freshened up, using his wand, and changed into a jean that had seen better days, and wouldn't be risking much during the festival because of it, and got a T-shirt, and sneakers. He wrapped his arms around Beckett when he showed up inside and squeezed, playfully nibbling and kissing him. "Gotcha! You sexy man! I'm excited! We're going to have such fun, and you can sing all you want!" He said, slightly teasingly, but also knowing how much his puffball loved to sing, even if he was not always singing in key. With all the people singing and screaming during the festival, it was not like someone would notice if he did... sing off key.

 

He let him free to change and get ready himself, listening to Enid who was probably on her own bedroom, replying to Beckett's questions. "well, we can do that, and go check around the festival what's what?" He had no idea the amount of people and activities there was, but they would have all the time to discover that....

After thanking Sherlock and Beckett, she had been running to check out the room that would be her bedroom for the weekend. She didn't plan to pass much time there during this two day event, but she was surprised to see how cool and comfortable it looked like! She threw her bag on the bedroom and turned around, elated to be here: this felt like real vacations! 

She looked at the floor mirror, put there probably to check if your fashion was good enough to get out in the world, as many famous people could bump into you at any time... this seemed... fitting! She giggled at Beckett, hearing his voice that sounded as excited as she was. She opened up her bag, browsed through all he clothes she had put inside, and decided for a tank top and a white short-skirt, and began to undress.

 

While freshening up with some cold water, she thought about who she wanted to go see first... "Hm... there's the Queen of Revolution, and... and ... DJ 6Teen! and R.O.C.K and and Chill Division... and there's others that I don't know but I wanna see them perform! And you?" She said loudly so the words would travel through the rooms. Once cleaned up, she changed into her selected "festival" clothes, and she looked at herself on the mirror. She grabbed some make-up and gave some colors and sparkles to her face, and then put her nice shoes. They had high heels but were much more comfortable than they looked, thanks to the built-in cushion spell. She gave a last look at the mirror and exited, waiting for the two men in the living-room of the tent. "I'm ready! YOU?" she called out, excited.

Beckett giggled and leaned against that hug as Sherlock came and did just that, blushing a little as his lover kissed and nibbled. Beckett loved to see him so excited and smiling, so maybe this festival was going to do so much good in many ways? Beckett moved once he was free to do so, placing Sherlock's bad on top of the bed and taking his own, opening it and taking out a shirt... he already was wearing the jeans and sneakers, so a shirt change would be good. 

 

"Oh, I totally want to see Queen of Revolution! I love that band!" he said as he stepped out, the shirt fitting him perfect, a little see through as well, showing off his muscles under it. He took a look at the festival flyer and his smile faded a little as he saw a headliner name. "Oh.  Jeff Vaughn is going to perform too...... neat... " he made a little ball out of the flyer and moved to the exit. "Let's go! We need to explore the place!" he was trying to have that jealousy monster caged, but it was so damn hard! What if the guy recognized his Sherlock and wanted to kiss him again?! Beckett was already picturing himself in prison after the murder of famous singer, Jeff Vaugh, with Sherlock and Enid coming every other weekend to bring him trading goods for the inside!

Sherlock had changed and was now ready to go have fun outside, From the bedroom, he could hear Beckett chatting with Enid and the name of Jeff Vaughn came up, and he stopped. Damn, he hadn’t expected that the guy was here! How stupid of him, because obviously, he was a musician at a music festival! ANd he was famous apparently. Remembering the clash they had because of the stolen kiss, he was worried that the presence of that guy would be triggering for Becks… But at the same time, it was a big festival, so maybe they would not cross paths?

Sherlock breathed deeply, smiled and excited the bedroom, joining the two in the living room. “Ok, I’m ready! You are? Let’s have fun, heat lots of junk food, dance and just enjoy the weekend!” He grabbed Beckett’s hand and pulled him in a hug, a kiss, before going to the door, opening it up and breathing the outside air. The day was beautiful and there was an overall feeling of happiness and fun coming off from the festival. This would be a good day!

Enid was very excited and ready to have the most fun. She didn’t know about the whole commotion behind the “Jeff situation” but from the way Beck’s voice had acted up, she wondered if they knew him. She was already jumping all around, eager to see if she could meet him. After all this kind of event was probably the closer she would get from famous people, without being blocked by bodyguards or else.

 

She giggled when Sherlock finally arrived, ready, and proceed to go out. The way he was holding Beckett, all lovey dovey was cute and… embarrassing at the same time! She wanted out! Not that she was really embarrassed, more that she realized that maybe she wanted to know this kind of love too, and it was not in that tent that she would ever get it!

So when they finally make a move to go out, she happily followed out. “So… where do you think I can find Jeff? You think I can get a autograph? Oh My God! That would be Fan Tas Tic!”
