Internship RP — Ryan Cha
Carina was having to get creative with her internship locales. Internship season was in full swing, so the pitches were booked tight by any and every player mentoring someone. Sure, she could always approach one of them to ask to share, but she didn't want her interns to feel pressured by having other people there, watching from a distance. They also didn't need the additional distraction. Part of it was also that her mentoring methods might not align with what others deemed standard, so she didn't need another Quidditch player scrutinizing them from afar. She was getting some good practice with her Muggle repelling charm, as she now sealed off the perimeter of Ardtully Castle. Any passing Muggle would just see a big empty hill. Standing within her big bubble, broom perched on her shoulder, Carina patiently waited for her intern to arrive. Given what had transpired, she was surprised the boy had chosen her in particular, but she took it as him moving past it. Choosing to overcome the trauma, and for that, she had to commend him. But that wasn't the subject of their meeting today. Ryan had a Portkey and directives on where to find her — I mean, the castle was pretty hard to miss — so it was all just a waiting game now.

Carina idly wondered if Ryan was having second thoughts. She wouldn't blame him honestly — even if neither of them were to blame in the incident — though an owl would have been nice so she wasn't just standing out here doing nothing. The woman wasn't above doing absolute nonsense during her day, but she could have squeezed in a few practice runs for sure before returning to Alaric's flat to wash up. I mean, she may as well get something out of this, but no sooner had she swung her broom off her shoulder than the boy materialized and walked up the hill. "I was starting to wonder if you'd had a change of heart. But not to worry; you're here now." Better to begin late than to never begin at all. True, were she any other person, she may have vehemently refused to take on the boy. But that wasn't the way she rolled. Harm had been inflicted upon the boy, and she'd been the weapon, but not the attacker. She could sympathize with his ordeal, finding herself in a similar boat, but no amount of awkwardness was worth avoiding a person altogether, in her mind. "Given that you're here again, I take it that you're very serious about your career choice. Nodding, Carina swung the broom between her legs and lightly hovered herself off the ground. [color=orange]"You've been through this before, so I won't waste time drilling you with questions. I doubt the answers have changed very drastically. I trust your broom is in there?" she asked, nodding towards his bag.

Why is Charlotte Montclaire in Kenmare, Ireland? Simple. There's a Quidditch match taking place in the stadium here and she and her maman decided to make a day of it. They're staying in the area for a weekend, booked a room at one of those castle bed-and-breakfasts at her request. It was nothing like what she was used to and it was definitely not in the same league as Hotel Chaumette. Still, the place was lovely and has quite a history. Charlie spent the morning exploring the property, already up even before sunrise. The people were so nice also - the son of the proprietors gave her a tour of the grounds. Anyways after she and her mother had a sumptuous breakfast they've gone for a stroll through the nearby park. The Quidditch game they're watching is not till later in the night so they've got plenty of time in the day to do other touristy stuff. Charlie grabbed her new polaroid camera and took it with her on the walk.
Reenagross Park was a few minutes away and it was… another thing she's not exactly used to since the parks she grew up visiting was simply different. They went hiking along the riverside stone walls and through the woodlands that were filled with beautiful pink flowers which her mother has called rhododendron. It took Charlie a couple of tries until she managed to say the name correctly, almost as much as the photos of them she took till she reminded herself to not waste film since they could be pretty expensive… not that she couldn't afford it, but still. Then maman decided to stay behind, taking a seat on a bench near the arboretum, and let her wander on her own with a reminder to be careful. For a while there was nothing all that exciting to see but eventually, she came across what looked like a castle. Charlie raised her camera to snap a photo of it then paused. Well she actually wanted a photo of herself with the old castle as backdrop yet… can she even take a selfie with this sort of camera? It was definitely a challenge.

Dahlia was having a bit of a vacation with her pa before she was off to camp and then school later that fall. This all happened so suddenly with finding out that she was a witch and that there was a camp happening this summer. So the two of them did a tour of a couple places together. One being the Ardtully Castle in Kenmare. With her cat backpack on her front with her new black kitten in it. She was strolling around the castle learning a lot of things she would not remember later. But at least she wasn't getting tested on it right!!!! They had just gotten done with their tour when her father said he was needed to find something to drink which she asked to stay right outside. Him trusting her to do so she began to play with her kitten as she began to wonder on the outside of the place.
That was when she saw a girl not too far from where she was. Curious she began to walk a bit closer to her as to talk to her. After her trip to Diagon alley she had become a bit more brave when talking to others. This girl might be what they call a muggle but that didn't mean they couldn't be friends right???? As she got a bit closer she saw in the girls hands a camera. "Ummmm do you want a photo?" she called out to her as she walked up with a giant smile.

Charlie was attempting to take a selfie with the ruins of the castle as a backdrop. Unfortunately it was not turning out too well. Because she's too unsure and hesitant to press the capture button since she was not sure what the photo would turn out like, you know? Film was expensive and she didn't wanna waste any of it. It was strangely nerve-wracking. She's pretty sure she looked like a complete fool. Until someone offered to actually take a photo of her.
She glanced up and saw a girl with a kitten and flashed a smile, relieved. "Ohh yes please! This camera is no good for selfies!" She quickly said, unable to resist whining about it… kinda at the risk of sounding ungrateful. Charlie rushed toward the girl, handing over the camera. "Careful with it," she said, her voice sharp. But then she remembered her manners and quickly added, "please." To soften the command to a request. She was Asian, Charlie noticed. The rather nice tilt of the girl's eyes reminded her of Kaguya. One of her nicer classmates at Hogwarts. "Just press this one button over here and you can shift light settings with this small knob thingie right here… and one is enough." Charlie explained, perhaps overcomplicating it? "Thank you so much!" She added. Completely aware that she was being a little annoying but also not caring about it. It was like a default mode of hers or something. Anyways so Charlie stepped back then struck a pose in front of the castle as she waited for a photo to be snapped.

Dahlia was happy to hear her say yes! "Great well I can take one of you" she said assuring her that she was a great photo taker! Reaching out for it she took it with both hands "Got it" she said holding it steady as she did not want to ruin this girls camera after all. This girl was kind of sharp but Dahlia had been around girls like this one before. Hurting the camera wasn't how you made friends after all so she would do her best. Holding it her kitten was looking at it wishfully "You behave" she said laughing. Taking some steps back she then looked down at the camera as the girl explained how to use it "Yes like this" she said holding it up trying to frame the shot. "OH WOW you look so great with this in the background" she said marveling at it before she took anything. Giggling at the pose she took the shot. "Stay there I want a close up one too" she said getting into it as she had been into photography for years. Her pa had a nikon that was pretty amazing for taking photos of plants.
Coming a bit closer the kitten began to mew as it was reaching for the camera "Yuki you be good" she said as she got up closer "Okay ready set " then she took the second one. Smiling she was happy with her two shoots. Hopefully when the girl got it developed it would go well and the photos would be great. "Here you go" she held out the camera with a big smile.

She was more than aware that sometimes she could be… a bit too much. It's something Charlie was working on, trying not to be overbearing and bratty and dominating, you know? But I'm telling ya, so freaking hard to go up against your nature! Nonetheless she was relieved that the girl doesn't seem all that bothered. In fact she actually sounds as though she knew what to do and everything so that was comforting and it made it easier to relinquish the shiny new camera in a stranger's hands. Then she backed away some distance, preparing to pose, when her attention was caught by a cat. Aww, Charlie couldn't help cooing mentally. She's always wanted a pet but her mother also always said 'no' every time she asked. So she was distracted for a while, staring wistfully.
When the girl began moving though, she snapped back to attention and posed. Then she heard that weird little click that came with the snap of a photo. Charlie was about to move when she was asked to stay and she blinked in surprise but did as she was told. Slipping right back to a natural-looking stance as she stretched her arms out. Charlie could hear soft meows nearby and it took everything she had to stop herself from giggling. Then it was finished, Charlie straightened then released that laugh she had been repressing. "Thank you sooo much! Selfies are such a pain in the butt." she told the girl as she took the camera back. "Your cat's adorable by the way. Yuki was it? Can I pet her… please?" she couldn't help asking, glancing down at the cat longingly.
