[Eira Cináed]
There’s a main reason why Eira doesn’t use her power more often especially when she’s battling. She always resorts to physical strength if she can help it and using her wind as a last resort. Like what she initially believed in, she was born into a family of fire fairies. It is only expected that her power will be of fire related as well, like the rest of her family. One day, her and Elina argued about something she can’t remember now, it was just a typical children fight, nothing more than some few words thrown at each other which affected her so bad that her power activated unexpectedly. She didn’t know what came over her but the moment she raised her hand towards Elina’s direction, her twin sister held her throat as if an invisible force is choking her. Elina almost died by her hands that day, it was a traumatic experience for a child to see your twin sister dying in front of you, by your own doing, without even realising it. If her dad didn’t come quickly, she would have instantly killed Elina. Wind is one of the basic nature elements, it’s everywhere hence she can use it anytime she wants. It’s an offensive power, one that could end a life in an instant if she loses control. It was scary too but at the same time it’s useful in battle. Using the wind, her opponent will have a hard time touching her. One would need a long-range power to be able to hurt her.
His eyes…it’s so bright, they’re like lightning in a cloud-filtered storm light, blinding her vision and muddling her sense of thoughts. While Rhys was looking at her with that silver eyes of his, she was curious how she sees her. Does she look different, or the same? She never really asks Aurora even when they’re still attending their former school. She just knew light is an awesome power that uses energy, generate or manipulate light. But what’s the scope of that light, she had no idea. The only thing she’s familiar with is the fire power because of her family, most especially Elina. They usually practice a lot together, they know how to counter their own powers, as well as make it even stronger. She can feed Elina’s power and make her fire bigger and stronger, whist she can also put out that fire if she so wanted. While waiting for him to do the first move, she’s hoping he will give her his best shot. What she hated the most is underestimating her skills. Being a girl doesn’t mean she’s weak and uninterested in combat. Seeing other people's reaction once they’ve learned she’s trained and therefore good in fighting, is the best satisfaction there is. Now, how Rhys deals with women is still unknown, she’s about to find out. Whatever he’s seeing in her eyes was lost on Eira, she’s used to seeing those rainbow colour by now whenever she activates her power and checks herself in the mirror. It was odd, yes, very distracting even, but that’s her power alright!
Rhys warned her it’s not just the punch he got, and she believed him. There’s no doubt he can manipulate their situation in an instant thus she’s always cautious with her actions. Always thinking one step ahead of her opponent, always giving herself enough space so she can move freely if the situation requires it. But unexpected things happened, she was surprised to see her own electric power came out. She didn’t remember activating that one, it’s one of the powerful techniques in her arsenal, it’s only expected she will use it as last resort, only in terms of emergencies, or a life-or-death situation. What brought this on? Did she unconsciously activate it in response to his light power? How is that even possible? The electricity, combined with the wind and power created sparks around them. It was mesmerising to watch, as well as unnerving because of the internal effect it had on her. Is that normal? Never did she hear or read anywhere that different powers - which aren’t compatible - will react this way – they’re mingling, blending...It’s the most ‘magical’ thing she had ever witnessed in her life, one of a kind. More than that, it has a profound effect in her body, most especially her heart. Like Rhys, Eira shifted and relaxed her stance, as well as her fist, opening it up as both watched the rare occurrence unfold before them. She didn’t know why her cheeks warmed, it’s possibly because of the loud beating of her heart, she’s afraid Rhys will hear it. “This is the first time I’ve seen something like this.” Eira shared to distract herself because it’s becoming too much for her now. When he spoke, Eira turned her attention back to him. He seemed to be having a hard time coming up with the right word to describe it…it was Eira who supplied the word, because it’s what she thinks about it. “…good…and…right.” Like it’s meant to be. Her eyes narrowed at that. Snorting, she quickly added, "Ignore what I've said.” Her eyes returned to their usual color, bluish gray, cutting their ‘link’. Eira balled her hand, still feeling like she’s electrocuted, from her hand to her heart. She found herself looking at Rhys again, wondering what he thinks about what happened. Oddly, her left wrist is starting to tingle, it feels hot, burning her skin, so she hid her hand subtly behind her.

Some people she knew will roll their eyes at the idea of soulmates, understandably so. It’s far-fetched to believe there’s only one perfect match out there for each of them. Eira was supposed to be gazing at Rhys, therefore, she is too with Lars. In that moment, she wondered what’s Lars’s opinion about soulmate? Will he surprise her yet again about such notion? He surprised her with his view of love, it’s probably no different regarding this topic. For her soulmate is having that profound, powerful and often instant link with someone. He’s not supposed to be perfect, but someone who goes through rough patches with her which teaches them important lessons and help them grow. Someone who challenges every bit of her, drives her crazy, and stirs her deepest passions. Aina isn’t sure yet if her soulmate will give her that rush of crazy emotions or hormones, like they say in romantic movies and love story pocketbooks. What she’s imagining is that it will feel comfortable and peaceful, and all you can think about is how happy you are to be with him. Like being at home the minute you get to know each other. Her heart is suddenly beating so loud just thinking of those thoughts. Eira is so lucky to have met her soulmate when she least expected it, and she envy her for her luck…or was it fate?
