[Wyatt Brody - closed scene with Chad Ripley]

[Class RPC: Work out]

The more Ez read about this Wyatt character the more he seemed to dislike him and wondered if there were people like him who actually existed.  He stood at the corner of the set, the setting was in their local gym and narrowed his eyes as he tried to get a clearer picture of what was going on. In his mind - wouldn't it just make sense to work out at the school, but apparently the two skeezes that they were playing did it for ulterior motives...

After school Chad and Wyatt head to their local gym just in time for the university babes to do their workouts. Since they look a few years older than they really are it is not uncommon for the two boys to place bets on who they can hook with. The scene takes place with the boys playfully arguing over who gets the hot blonde while they're pretending to lift weights.

Ez's face said it all and no, he wasn't exactly amused by the writing. With a sigh, he looked around for Mathias, a guy he sort of knew due to them being in the same house, but just by face and name. There he stood, still looking down at the script and pacing absentmindedly as he read, nearly choking as he read further down that he had to slap a girl's bum later in the scene. "Who wrote this garbage?" He said in disbelief and looked around, wanting to spot either Nora or Santiago to question the direction of the movie but neither were around. Of course.

[Allison Devereaux] [Closed Scene with Archie Larson]

[RPC 32: Bump into someone] [1]

Ana really thought vampires only existed in their world. And they probably did but since this was a movie... fictional... they also existed in the muggle world. Technically speaking, they did exist but the muggles didn't believe it, just like the students who had no clue in this movie that the undead lived with them. Just like Allison, her character had no clue that they lived among them. The funny part was, Allison was going to be one of them and that made Ana giggle. She had no idea who Isadore was, except she had seen him in a few classes so she knew him face-wise but not interaction wise so this was the easiest to play. Oh, why couldn't he be her boyfriend too? It'd be easier for her to act if it was someone she didn't know. Straightening her hair, Ana stared at her reflection in the mirror, leaving for her scene.

Allison goes to the cemetery to visit her grandfather's grave where she encounters Archie Larson. It's evening hours just before her working shift at the library

It was right after her shitty practice, Allison left her dorms to go towards the public library where she had her shift after half an hour. But she had left early... to stop by the cemetery. Whenever she felt terrible, she stopped by to visit her grandfather's grave as the sense of the side of the family she never knew of. Apparently, her father was from MA so this was where his entire family was buried. Allison didn't know them but it was nice to have some trace of them. As she walked, she glanced around her to view the town lights and the passing cars, taking the cut. The rays of the early evening were still there and she knew this wasn't the best place to be at night... as per the rumors but Allison couldn't help it. With everything going on, she needed to sit down and let out her frustration. At the lacrosse team, her boyfriend, her terrible life. Sometimes she wished fairy godmothers were real and she could ask them for a different life. Taking a deep breath, Allison sat down leaning against her grandfather's grave, and opened her diary, starting to write in it.

"Dear Diary, today was a terrible day..."

[Chad Whitlock - closed scene with Jessica Lockhart]

After going their separate ways, Chad leave his home to do his regular routine, though making sure to leave on time in order to make the ride up to Heather's house in time for 8 o'clock as planned.

The bike ride wasn't a long one, especially as he pushed himself to go faster, the down hills aiding him as he finally reached the residence and stopped, slightly frowning to himself as he looked up at the impressive home Heather called hers. He didn't like Heather, but never showed it or spoke poorly of her as he knew that wouldn't go well with Jess. Besides, the rest of the school had unofficially nominated her as the "it" girl, so it wasn't in his best interest to say anything, especially when he, too, wanted to continue moving up the social ladder. This hadn't been the first time he had picked Jess up, since it was turning kind of routine for them to coordinate and when she couldn't get a ride from the older students who could drive Chad would volunteer. Plus there was no way he'd let her walk alone at night. Tonight was a little special since he had something planned and stood with crossed arms as he casually waited by his bike and smiled from ear to ear as she came towards him. His bike was big enough to accommodate both of them, having customized it a couple of years ago simply for Jess, after one summer of becoming inseparable and standing on the pegs just wouldn't do, so she needed something better.  "Hey... how'd it go?" He asked conversationally as she handed him her duffle bag and turned to face his bike and placed it securely over the bike handles, using the straps to make this possible and hopped in first, scooting forward as he stood steady to keep the bike balanced while she took her seat and sat down with both his legs still on the ground. "Good?" He turned to look over her shoulder with a grin and gestured with a head movement that they were about to head off. "Grab on tight." This was the part he always liked, something that always made Chad happy whenever they were this close and felt a burst of energy that sent them easily on their way as he kicked off. Jess questioned where they were going since they were heading in the opposite way from their houses and he simply said, "A surprise." The Cape... as the locals called it and as everyone else knew it as Cape Cod was a pretty magical place at night in his opinion. At this time there wasn't much foot traffic in the area, especially during a weekday since most tourists ventured on the weekends. The ocean air whisked by them as they passed a quiet street, along the way dotted with the most brilliant summer home that had a front view of the beach. "Two more years Jess...two more years." The countdown was getting closer until he could drive and couldn't wait, though honestly more because he could pick up Jess proper. Jess would know what he was referring to since he loved talking about tinkering with the car, a classic red Ford Mustang, in his dad's garage, of which Teagan had seen him fixing up herself when she'd visit him, and would teach her little things here and there about cars. "You're going to be the first one I drive around." He promised her one random day. It needed lots of work but in two years he knew he could bring it to its glory and fulfill his promise Once they came to a stop, they both got off, with Chad helping her and smirked mischievously at her as he kicked off his shoes and motioned toward hers, "C'mon they're about to start." Leaving the bike securely behind a bench they were off. Grabbing her free hand they made a dash across the sand, chuckling as they did and would burst out in laughter the moment they'd look at each other, especially Jess because she was so confused so hers was mixed with nervous excitement. Coming up to a lifeguard post, he said as he let go of her hand. "Up here. Let me help you." Making sure she was just fine, he looked at his wrist watch... two minutes...and came up next, taking his place cozily next to her since the booth was snug. "Here take this. It's chilly." Taking off his letter jr varsity jacket, he draped it around her slender frame and as they locked eyes, they both smiled genuinely, her eyes twinkling against the cast of the moon, but both turned their sights up ahead as the boom of fireworks could be heard and the sky was illuminated with a wonderful array of colors. The town across the water would host summer events that always ended with fireworks and they both had the best seat in the house. While they admired the view, Chad extended his arms as he fake yawned, finding the courage to loosely place on arm around her shoulder as they continued watching the show, though with his peripherals was trying to catch her reaction without looking too eager. Wow this was nerve wracking!

[Jess 'Red' Lockhart]

The girls had recorded several tik toks already. Very few included Jess but the fact that she appeared in at least one of them did increase her numbers as Heather had millions of followers, which was good for her. Besides, she always made sure to make it known that she was behind the camera, which helped with the popularity she so longed for. Jess was a bit jaded  and fed up for the many hours repeating the same dance and making it all about Heather, her eyes on the clock as she simply wished to leave already, taking a relaxing bath and go to bed since she had volleyball practice the following day. Despite Chad constantly picking her up, she had somehow forgotten he still rode that bike of his and was only reminded of it when she stood up to gather her things and was able to see him through the bedroom's window. Jess rolled her eyes and sighed heavily to herself, hurrying up to make it outside before any of the girls was able to spot him and made a comment about her ride. It was so obvious he wouldn't have a car as he was only fourteen, and that was one of the few materialistic reasons why she didn't like boys her age. Had she remembered the bike, she would have asked him to wait at the corner, but now was rushing down the stairs and through the ground floor, stopping right before opening the door to fluff her hair and make sure her outfit was on point.

Once out, Jessica closed the door behind her and smiled at Chad. Truth be told, there was nothing wrong about his bike as it was a rather cool one, but her friends didn't think the same. However, it was only the two of them again and so she didn't have to worry about anyone's expectations and what they could possibly think of her. With Chad, everything was easier... simpler, and better. Jess approached him, looking up at the window to make sure no one was looking, then smiled again and handed him her bag. "Great! It was so much fun, but I'm not saying anything to you because I know you'll say we're boring," Jess chuckled under her breath and waited for him to sit first so she could help herself by holding onto his shoulders so she could hop up behind him. She looked down to make sure her feet didn't get in the way of the chains or the hind wheel, and then put her arms around his torso. "All good," she nodded, grinning back at him and got ready for the trip to start. As Chad started to pedal, she couldn't help but notice they were going on the opposite direction to their houses, and more so towards the beach. "Where are we going?" Jess asked him curiously, her chin on his shoulder as she did so, feeling all giddy at his response. She had been merely teasing him earlier when she said they could go anywhere together, mostly to throw him off and make him nervous, but he had actually come up with something, and that was the best plot twist she could have hoped for. The streets were calm and the many street lamps made for a pretty sight. She enjoyed the wind and the ocean breeze, as well as Chad's proximity and the smell of his cologne. Jess was capable of being patient and so would wait to see what it was instead of bugging him about it. At the hinting of the red Mustang, she giggled and grinned, closing her eyes. "I can already picture us driving it around. It will be as clean as possible because we won't let Eva ride with us," she chuckled at this. "Everyone will be so jealous," and they would have so much fun. She couldn't wait for that, and was couting down the days for when the car finally worked again, and Chad got his driver's license. "You'll teach me how to drive, right? Let me be the first one to crash it," she teased him only to hear his reply because she would never, especially knowing how much work he had already been doing with it.

They did arrive to the beach and she looked at him curiously as he took his shoes off after helping her get down of the bike. "They? What they?" Jess frowned but took his hand nevertheless, imitating his actions and following him, or more like jogged with him, trying to come up with an explanation to his mysterious behavior, but enjoying every part of it. She laughed and pouted at him, accusing Chad of making fun of her confusion but didn't ask anything else. They reached an old lifeguard post and she hesitated, only because it could be covered with moss or something icky, you know? But Jess accepted his help and climbed up. She focused on the water while he followed, looking around, looking for some hint, but nothing. Chad sat next to her and offered her his jacket. Her eyes twinkled and she hugged it to herself, smiling at Chad but then let out a squeal as some loud noise startled her. Turning to the front, the whole beach lit up along with the sky, and she broke into a huge grin, gasping and staring at the fireworks in wonder, parted lips and all. Jess had never witnessed a firework show this close as she'd always see it from her window, and it was kinda magical. She bit her lip once she felt his arm around her shoulders and was hit with numerous emotions and sensations, suddenly feeling warm despite it being chilly, her cheeks turning red as she pretended to be completely focused on the show. She did however, scoot closer to him, trying to suppress a smile, wishing with all her might that he kept on taking the first step as she was totally hooked. "This is so beautiful," Jess practically whispered, searching for his hand with hers without looking away from the sky, and smiled wider once she found it and intertwined her fingers with his. It was safe to say Teagan's heart, just like Jess', was ready to jump out of her chest as she was extra nervous about the scene, and even more so as she was enjoying way too much!

Doe eyed and all Chad stared as Jess approached him. Everything about her was so perfect, from her flawless walk, to the way her eyes shone brightly against the twinkle of the moon and that smile - woah. Inwardly it made him melt but was able to keep his calm composure and not stare for too long, but that special twinkle in his eye was always present in her company and she'd have to be blind to not notice it was only reserved for her. "Nah not boring...those tik tok dancing are almost growing on me. What was that one you uploaded recently? This...dance?" He moved in the most comical way, totally butchering the dance but enough to pull a laugh out of her, though low key knew she was rushing him too, as he knew she didn't want the girls to see him because of the mode of transportation. It didn't bother him and he smirked at this, sparing her any embarrassment and were out of the vicinity pretty quick. Once they were riding towards the beach, he had to comment and say, "Maybe I'll make an account and get more followers than Heather." He cackled at this, finding it pretty amusing, but then relaxed into the ride the moment Jess placed her chin on his shoulder. Any other thoughts of Heather and those other girls he didn't like drifted from his mind and he only focused on the now and enjoying every single moment he was with Jess. He liked the fact that she didn't push or prod him for answers either, being patient enough to absorb the moment and just wait for the surprise. And then as they both fantasized about driving around in his Mustang he smiled brightly to himself, feeling proud and happy that she, too, was just as enthused as he was. Her giggle was enough to make him laugh too and if she had been looking at him would have seen the slight shade of pink that spread throughout his cheeks. "She's definitely not allowed." He responded simply. Chad cared about his twin sister... a lot actually, so much so that he would stick out his neck for her most of the time and tried to help her, but every single time she would snap at him and further slink herself with those stupid stoner crowd. So, he was slowly giving up on trying to include her in things. "We'll go on so many rides up and down the coast. We can sneak off in the middle of the night and just do something spontaneous. That front passenger seat has your name on it already." And then he chuckled boisterously as she teasingly mentioned crashing it and shook his head playfully, "I'll make sure there's plenty of room where I'll teach you." He found it amusing and really entertaining that they had all these plans for their future and hopefully they could fulfill them. When he was alone with Jess she was a completely different person, not at all worried about what anyone thought of her because with Chad she could be unapologetically herself and they'd both share secrets with one another. He kept hers guarded and she did the same. It was a friendship that was meant to last and knew if they continued like this they'd be able to live out all their crazy ideas.

"You'll see, Jess. C'mon we gotta run." He urged her playfully, keeping the suspense alive and well and poking mild fun at her that she seemed so confused about the whole thing. Her pout was enough to make Chad roll his eyes playfully and retorted playfully, "No pouting allowed. You'll like this. I promise." As they made it to the lifeguard post with just seconds to spare, they both settled in comfortably and smiled to himself at her surprised squeal, his eyes on her as he admired her side profile, feeling his heart skip a beat as she looked so beautiful. His eyes went to the fireworks and made his not so subtle move of draping an arm around her shoulder, though as she scooted closer to him and searched for his hand it gave him a clear indication that she was enjoying this moment as much as he was. Chad felt nervous - beyond nervous actually- and she'd feel him squeeze her hand gently as he turned to look at her side profile again. Ash's mind was also in a whirlwind, so caught up in Chad's behavior that his own brain allowed him a moment to enjoy himself, free from acting and felt for the very first time in his life the pitter patter of his heart beat in a very peculiar way. It felt nice...something he surprisingly welcomed and gulped hard, feeling confused for a split second because he didn't know if he was the one actually feeling this or was too consumed by his character. Regardless, he pushed those thoughts and whispered, "Jess..." As she slowly turned to look at him, he smiled gently at her, a deep fondness in his eyes as they locked on her breathtaking orbs that magnified their beauty times ten with the reflection of the fireworks. There had always been this tension between them, something that had grown the last couple of weeks whenever they were alone and had grown so curious to how her lips would taste against his. Thet were so inviting and naturally as a fourteen year old boy had day dreamed about making a move. The booms echoed all around them and felt the crazy beating in his heart increase as he leaned in, though taking his time, wanting her to also meet him a quarter of the way. As her eyes closed so did his and pressed his lips to hers. It was soft, a brush of the lips against each other at first but pressed a little deeper, though still holding their innocence before pulling away and looking completely awestruck. Jess' lips had felt so warm against his, easily picturing himself kissing her all over again. Ash was caught up in it, blinking repeatedly and squeezing Teagan's hand as he processed what had happened. This was supposed to be strictly acting, no emotion or feeling behind it, but the chemistry was tangible - something even he couldn't deny and he genuinely smiled at her. It wasn't Chad....it was a snap shot of Ash and absentmindedly brushed his thumb over her hand. Looking down sheepishly for a moment, he met hers eyes once more but it was Chad now - a determined look on his face, but still very tender as he spoke to her, "I been wanting to do that for the longest time, Jess. I've liked you for so long." His face still was at a close proximity to hers, though giving enough space for her to breathe but also still being intimately close to her. His cheeks flushed a deep crimson at his confession, since rejection was always such a huge factor and added, "You're the only girl I want."

The longer Matty played this doucebag the more ridiculous the script seemed to get. He found it pretty funny at times but at other times felt sort of bad even though it was only acting. His character just totally treating Ange's character like an object and no matter how much Ange said she was okay with it sometimes even then it would get hard. Though, thankfully a lot of his scenes were with Angela so he could mess up and they could just laugh about it. But in the scenes in other places or with a lot of other people he had to hold it together a lot more. They were in a gym and apparently Chad and Wyatt were going to work out and try to win over some girl there. Which was fitting for the characters but the whole idea of it was pretty funny. He too was reading over the lines and rubbed his chin thinking, 'I really have to say that?' He sighed just as Ezra spoke up who he was doing the scene with. Laughing, Matty threw his hands up and said, "I don't know, probably someone fucked up in the head." Which come to think of it he could think of one person in particular that was helping to direct this movie that could fit that bill but he wouldn't go there. Sighing again, he folded up the script placed it out of shot before trying to channel his inner Chad and doucebag. "Are you ready?" He asked Ezra so they could get this scene over with.

Hitting up the local gym was something Chad and Wyatt had discovered and was a total game changer. Working out at the school left them with a few options to pick from but the gym offered a more mature selection, if you will. And after messing shit up with Pheobe the other day, Chad needed something to distract his mind. Him and Wyatt had been there a little while and checking out their options. Chad was sitting on a workout bench and lifting a dumbbells with his right arm and was about to switch to his left when he spotted a woman in tight leggings and a sports bra, her bright blonde hair tied up in a pony tail as she was working on her squats, a blessing for the two high school boys. He raised a brow and watched but decided to get his best friend, Wyatt a show as well. He hit Wyatt's arm with the back of his hand to get his attention a few times, "Hey, hey, hey, bro. Check it out." He nodded to blondie before his eyes went back to Wyatt, "She's one of those university babes for sure. Think I'd pass for a college Junior today?" He lifted his free hand to his hair and slicked it back and then licked his lips feeling pretty confident he could hook up with her if he went for it.

[Jess 'Red' Lockhart]

Jess could only roll her eyes and shake her head as Chad made fun of their dances, but he had a way to make it funny instead of annoying. She laughed at his silly dance moves, and off they went, with him commenting on the videos on their ride to the surprise location. She snorted at that, both because Heather had way too many followers that it was insane, and because she couldn't picture him doing it for the hell of it. "I could be your camera girl, only don't tell Heather I'm commiting treachery," Jess joked along, laughing at this. They would always joke a lot about everything, which meant she was always laughing with him, or at least most of the time. She had met him through Eva as they had become friends first but Chad took the spot almost right away. It was the three of them for the longest time, until they started growing up, and apart. Well, it seemed it had happened with Eva as his relationship with his sister wasn't the best, either, since she had decided she wanted to be a stoner and a loser, and that was why Jess didn't like to be associated with her at school, though outside, she did miss her, but would never say it out loud. They continued imagining what it would be like when the Mustang was ready, and she loved everything he was saying, feeling all giddy and just happy with how it all looked in their heads.

"You're lucky I'm fit!" Jess practically yelled as they ran, a smile on her face and loads of thoughts about where he was taking her. She didn't have to wait long for the surprise to reveal itself, and while it had startled her at first, she loved it. Her eyes were on the sky when he rounded her with his arm that it was now her looking at him out of the corner of the eye before taking his hand. They were so very close to one another, and Jess' heart was racing, just like Teagan's. She knew what followed here, and to say she was nervous was an understatement. She'd have her first kiss with a boy she didn't even tolerate, and the same went for Ash. But somehow, she didn't hate that part of the script anymore. The scene and their acting was so organic that it was easy to forget it was the character she was playing who was going through this, and not her. Ash squeezed her hand, which was what Chad was supposed to do, and so she turned to look at him, blinking slowly, a smile forming on her lips. He leaned in and she stared at him for a second, feeling her mouth go dry. Now this was entirely Teagan because this was the moment she had been the most worried and nervous about. Jess had been waiting for this for so long, and it was finally happening, which meant Teagan's brain was all confused and giddy and practically reduced to mush. But she didn't hesitate however, and wouldn't be ruining the scene by staring at Ash for too long. Jess leaned in as well, closing her eyes, and felt his lips on hers almost right away. It was pretty soft at first, but they allowed for it to last and to be more than just touching — an actual kiss. Chad pulled away and Jess kept her eyes closed for a moment, smiling widely and blushing, though it was hard to say if that was Jess or Teagan as the girl was all over the place. Jess was supposed to act like that, but her? Maybe she was getting really into her character. With her own nerves and reaction to the kiss, she wasn't sure if Ash's reaction was pure acting or not. She dared looking at him and she laughed softly. You see, Teagan had rushed to this scene after getting changed, and with the makeup crew busy, she had picked the red lipstick and applied it on herself, completely forgetting the setting charm so it would transfer onto anything. It was beyond her how she had forgotten she needed it for the kiss scene, because now Ash had a red stain and he looked pretty funny — and low-key cute. It was also like a proof of their first kiss happening. Without thinking much about it, she reached out with her free hand and gently rubbed onto his lips with her thumb. "You have a bit of lipstick," she whispered, but as she noticed what she was doing and how smiley she was being around Ash, she dropped her hand and looked away with wider eyes. What on earth was happening to her? Okay, focus

Back as Jess, she turned to face Chad, feeling like this was the best night of her life. She knew she had made quite a not-so-good reputation for herself at school when it came to boys, but with Chad, it was different. She didn't need nor wanted to hurry, and hoped he knew that. "Really? You mean it?" Hearing those words meant a lot because she had liked him for years. Jess eyed his lips and smirked, feeling so many things at once. If only she could stop being silly and thinking like her mom did, then she could allow herself to be like any other fourteen-year-old who had just kissed her crush. And while she had to be that girl, she decided she didn't to tonight, mostly because she didn't want to ruin this. She turned her body to completely face him. "I'm so glad you finally did it," Jess looked at him through her eyelashes, a coy smile on her lips. She wanted to tell him how she felt so badly, but she couldn't. It was evident though and right now, it was written all over her face. "How much do you want me?" She looked him in the eyes, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Ash felt silly dancing but at the same time indulged himself in the moment and laughed, finding it kind of cute the way Teagan- Jess giggled. It was pretty easy to get wrapped up in his character as they both seemed pretty committed to their roles, which left wonderful chemistry to flow between the two. Any outsider would honestly think they got along well outside of these roles. Truth be told if you had asked Ash what he thought of Teagan the day of signing up for the class he would have said, without hesitation, that he found her obnoxiously annoying, but now? Well, let's just say he didn't mind her company and his smiles were coming from him versus just his character. "She'd have both our heads!" He commented with a boisterous laugh, though in all honesty Heather would probably shit her pants and just for that fact alone he really wanted to do it for the hell of it, but also because it was a perfect excuse to get to spend more time with Jess. Everything happened pretty fast the moment they arrived at the beach and Chad snickered at her witty retort. It was a mad dash but a quick one, so it wasn't too bad and as the fireworks surrounded them and created a beautiful scene right out of a story book, the two had finally done something that was years in the making. For so long now he had imaged kissing Jess, wanting to be her first kiss and vice versa. Ash, on the other hand was annoyed at first by the script when he first read it, even complaining to the assistant director that it didn't need to be added, but after being told that this was the direction they were going Ash had no choice but to grin and bear it. Though now as the seconds clicked closer to the kiss, he felt his own heart palpitate in a way that didn't make him dread what was to come and instead was riddled with nerves and terrible confusion, but not the bad kind mind you. He was a curious person - to a fault at times- and although the idea of crushes absolutely made him gag he couldn't help but wonder how Teagan's lips felt against his. It was in the most innocent way a twelve year old mind could process it but there was an attraction there, something magnetic that his thoughts couldn't make heads or tails of and as they kissed both Chad and Ash felt blissful- Chad obviously more than anything. Their lips pressed gently into each other and Ash felt his whole body ignite with sparks of electricity - or at least the best way he could describe it and if Teagan paid close enough attention would feel him squeeze her hand a little tighter. As they pulled away he let out a low sigh of admiration as Jess' eyes were still closed and Chad smiled brightly at her, taking it all in and wondering what this meant for them. It felt right, something that they both clearly wanted and throughout the years had built that strong foundation of trust and friendship with one another, which made their kiss that much more special. There was little time for Chad to think about that, since Teagan broke out of character and began to wipe off the excess lipstick left on his lips. At first Ash looked at her through furrowed brows of confusion and at her explaining what had happened nodded absentmindedly, like his brain was lagging and was failing to keep up in real time. It was a three second delay before his eyes widened at realizing this wasn't Jess touching him, but Teagan herself being so gentle and kind with him, something that felt surprisingly nice, an action that he didn't mind. Ash hated people touching him - it was huge pet peeve of his and barely hugged his siblings or showed physical affection in any sense of the word, but he couldn't even be mad at Teagan. For some reason it was okay, like she had permission to do so, without him even being in control over it, but as she pulled back he looked away. Oh Merlin, hopefully she didn't think he was being weird for staring too long and crinkled up his nose in annoyance but at himself as he turned away and quickly wiped the color off with the back of his hand in haste. "Is it...gone?" There was a long pause in between the words as Ash turned back to Teagan and felt nervous, something he never felt. His tone wasn't bossy as it usually was but whispered like her tone was earlier.

Re-focusing on the scene was easier said than done, but both fell back into their roles fairly easily and Ash turned from his nervously confused twelve year old self to Chad's more confident fourteen year old persona. Personally, he was thankful for that and sat up straighter as he looked at Jess, mirroring her smile with his own. "Of course I mean it. You know I've liked you for years now. You're my dream girl." Chad wasn't lying when he said she was the only girl he wanted because he truly wasn't interested in anyone else. Sure, there were plenty of pretty girls their age that ran in their social circles, but none held a candle to Jess as she was truly his dream girl. He noticed as she eyed his lips again, something that made him smirk and lean in just a little closer, nearly feeling the heat radiating off of her skin, which was something that made Ash swallow hard. Whatever reputation Jess had amassed for herself at school was irrelevant to him because as far as he was concerned there was really nothing that would get in their way. Jess had to see what they had was special, light years away from any silly crush she had on the older boys, so that's why it didn't even phase Chad. "I should have done it sooner but now we can make up for lost time, no?" There were so many different instances throughout the school year where he could have made a move but didn't, though there were no regrets as this was by far better than he originally planned. His body turned to face her as well, the hand that was holding her now skimming up her arm and drawing aimless patterns on her skin before looking at her with a sly expression at her question. She had caught him off guard, but he was quick to recover and retorted with the same teasing tone, "I can show you." Which was honestly better than any words Chad could string together. His hormones were all a tizzy, not to mention the feelings he felt for her were magnified times a thousand the moment they embraced each other. The direction of the script told them to kiss again and this time Ash did so, though definitely not as passionately as Chad would - something still quite innocent- pulling away when the lights of the set dimmed and the two being instructed to hold each other close. At this Ash began to wrap his arms around her waist, hesitant at first - even chuckling under his breath once he pulled away from her lips because he was really nervous about it and felt a little awkward, but Teagan did the same. Lucky for them the lights were dim as the script left it up to the audiences imagination what had happened between Jess and Chad that night and despite the lack of light Ash could still see Teagan's profile and broke out of character to whisper so the director wouldn't hear, "I know this is random to say and we are in an awkward position, but I just want to say that you play her really well." It was a simple compliment but coming from Ash meant a lot and even smiled softly at her, a smile bright enough that she could see through the lack of visibility. Their eyes locked and perhaps it was the nervous of it all finally coming to the surface but Ash laughed softly again, whispering under his breath an apology for breaking out of character. The the lights came back on and the scene was over- just like that. He blinked, looking around curiously as they were told that was a wrap. The whole time that he was looking around he was still holding her and then realized what he was doing and immediately let go, bringing his hands back to his person and fiddled with his hands. "Er...sorry. Hey uhm...what do you think fade to black means?" He blurted out in question, trying to grasp at anything that would take the attention away from his odd behavior.

[Jess 'Red' Lockhart]

The kiss had been as innocent as two twelve-year-olds could make it, but it was one Teagan would probably be thinking of several nights before going to bed. She was confused as hell as she supposedly disliked Ash with a passion, and she hated that a 'simple' touch of their lips was causing such a frenzy within her. She had always found him unnecessarily good-looking, still unaware of his genes but didn't feel drawn to him whatsoever, at least not when he wasn't standing nearby or else she'd be staring and looking away as if she couldn't help it, but now? Now it was an impossible challenge to move her gaze away from him. Maybe she was completely bewitched by the character he was playing, and that combined with his looks, well, she had everything to lose in here. The kiss left a warm sensation and a magical moment that she hadn't expected, all while it was everything Jess had dreamed of, even better. Tieg had squeezed Ash's hand as well and then realized she was touching his lips without even asking if she was allowed to do that, being suprisingly comfortable doing that until it downed on her. They both were looking away and she was mentally chiding and facepalming herself, wondering why she was acting so... odd, so much like her sister, and that made her shiver because eww, she was insufferable at times. Ash spoke up though, and she turned to look at him, having to eye his lips but she quickly averted her gaze and nodded, a faint smile on her face. "Yes," she whispered back, licked her own lips and sat up straight as they had to go back into character if they didn't want to completely ruin the scene and re-do it.

Everything coming out of his mouth was so sweet and romantic, Teagan wasn't even acting anymore, only when it was her turn to deliver her lines. She had a coy smile on her face, was blushing and looking at Ash — Chad in a dreamlike state, daydreaming of hearing those words someday, which was such a dumb thing to do for someone like Tieg but she guessed the setting, the acting and the kiss had infected her brain or something. Gosh, she even giggled at Chad saying they could make up for the lost time and she wondered if they had to kiss again as she had suddenly forgotten about any scene annotations. Ash was too close and she was really having a hard time recalling her lines and how she was supposed to act, but as her reactions were entirely real, she didn't even have to as they matched what Jess would be doing. She nodded, annoyed by how comfortable and professional Ash was while she was being silly. They were embracing now and he kissed her again, which Teagan didn't mind, at all. She scooted closer and placed her hands on his shoulders as he rounded her waist. It lasted longer than the first one and it involved closer promixity, her heart practically racing inside her chest. She noticed the lights dimmed though, and she peeked through one eye, their faces too close despite the kiss being over, and she chuckled under her breath as well. But then Ash decided to speak up and Tieg looked at him through her eyelashes, blinking a couple times as she tried to not smile at his words but failed. "Thanks... you too. Chad, I mean, not Jess," she giggled and squeezed her eyes shut because that had been sooo lame, it was cringy. The scene ended and she looked at him again, feeling a bit awkward as well and was quick to remove her hands from his shoulders and scooted towards her side of the bench, unsure of what to do with her hands and where to look at or what to do now. Turning to Ash again, parted lips and all, she swallowed. "Uhm, I don't know, maybe they kept on kissing or made out?" Her brows went up. It was obvious why they couldn't do that — because of their age, because she had seen other scenes and older students were really packing in heavy kissing and all that. "So... I'm just gonna-" She jumped down the lifeguard post, acting as weird as he was. "I'm gonna check on how the props are going... That was... That was a good scene. Good job... Thank you..." Thank you? Thank you for what?! Could someone just make her disappear, please? What was wrong with her?!

Ravensward Training Ground

Rhys Theron | Closed Scene with Eira Cináed | Costume

Joining this club had been a good decision so far. Learning the script helped his mind to get away from other stuff. It was more fun reading the script rather than reading that stock market book which was now residing peacefully under his bed. And it felt nice to be someone else for a few hours in a day. Not that he hated his life, of course. Maybe a little bit. This Rhys character he played shared some similarities with Lars, as for having dead biological parent(s), got himself a new parent(s) and siblings. Lars' father wasn't dead though it felt like that sometimes. It would be nice if there were students playing the role of his adoptive parents -- this is embarrassing but he kind of wanted to know how it felt like to have a caring father, even just for a play, because Rhys adoptive father liked him a lot -- but he couldn't hope too much. He was paired with Aina for this scene and probably many others, which was awesome. She was another good factor of joining this club apparently, he got to see her often. He couldn't help but steal a glance at Aina. Does he look like a lost puppy now too? For once again hanging around her? He remembered Sammie said that in class. Maybe he does. But that couldn't be helped, could it? When you like someone you are just comfortable to be around them. It was probably her hair but she reminded him of a warm chocolate after a tiring day. Is that a weird analogy? Lars shook his head and focused back on his script, reading it once more while warming up his body. He would move a lot for this scene so it was necessary. This Rhys enjoyed hand-to-hand combat, apparently, one thing Lars never tried.

It was training day that day, the students were gathering around the training ground, some focus on training their special ability on one side while the others focus on combat training.

Rhys chose to join the others for combat training. Honestly, he preferred on mastering his light ability rather than trying to be extraordinary at physical combat. But it was a necessary skill. And it was probably one of the reasons why his clan went extinct when they were under attack. He remembered his dad told him they relied more on their light magic. But they were not very powerful at night and they got attacked during that time, and obviously lost, leaving Rhys all by himself. Moreover, his body was a bit stiff from sitting too long for practicing his illusion, and he would need to do that more because Aurora wanted to learn it from him and he would have to accompany her. So, before she came into his sight, he thought he would enjoy moving his body a bit. He was sitting on a bench as his eyes scanned the ground. Most fairies seemed to be paired already and Rhys wanted to spar with them, because they were the most ideal partner. Equal power and equal physique, mostly. Rhys waved his hand, trying to grab attention from the closest male fairy, motioning and mouthing at him to have his turn after his current partner. Once he got approval, he rested his back, eyes flickering in silver color as a variance of colors filled his sight. It had started to grow as a habit, seeing people's aura color, and he found that fascinating. Everyone had different colors, different temperaments, but as they were training here, a layer of red would emit from their main color, as power and strength were used.

[Eira Cináed]

Aina attended physical combat class previously so she’s no longer a stranger to hand-to-hand combat. But it doesn’t mean she’s good at it because honestly, she hated it after being sore the next day. It’s not like she hasn’t tried physical activities her whole life, in fact, all her activities in Snidgets as well as in figure skating are considered arduous and strenuous. With combat fighting, you have to battle someone who can hurt you ‘physically’ and that’s something she didn’t like. She changed into her character’s outfit for that particular scene with Lars. Speaking of, Aina spared a glance at him just in time to catch him looking back at her. She smiled and raised an ‘okay’ sign, as if telling him everything will be alright…hopefully. Oddly, she’s slightly nervous about this scene, but eh, must be the nerves. While waiting, she decided to stretch for a bit. Already memorised her lines, which isn’t that many, she focused more on the actions required from her. Goody, I hope I will not slip and embarrass myself. Glancing at Lars again, she trusts that he will manage this just fine. At least there’s something to tease him about the next time.

----

Since it’s still early for her next activity, Eira decided to run around the school ground. It felt good to run. She could feel her strength returning, the energy warming her heart and the wind relaxing her. Every morning, in her former school, she usually did this to fully wake herself and in here, Ravensward, she wanted to do the same and just enjoy her time. There’s nothing else she could do at this point but accept the fact that she’s in a new environment now. To be fair, there’s nothing to hate, aside from the lack of her favorite activities which involve weapon assembly and archery. Is there even a wall climbing activity here? Doubt that. A voice in her head answered. After some time, she remembered her next agenda for the day, hand-to-hand combat training. Eira ran toward the training ground as fast as she can, already sweaty from her running. At last, she reached the courtyard. There, she saw her fellow fairies were starting to warm up, the others are already sparring with their partners. Being new, she didn’t know whom to talk to, so she decided to wait for a while, just standing there and watching them spar. Her eyes taking everything in, learning their styles and noting who’s fast and strong. Why? Easy, because she wanted to spar with the strongest.

[Rhys Theron]

Usually those coming from the same family had the same color or at least the same shades because they tended to share the same temperament. His family was one example. His dad had the color of blue, a darker shade, while his mother had the softer shade. His sister was baby blue. For his own amusement he thought it was because she could be childish at times, hence the color. What about Rhys? Funnily, he couldn’t see his own color. He had asked his father about that and he said it was one of the characteristics of the ability though he couldn’t really tell why and Rhys got no other source of information either. But if he had to consider himself, he probably had green or brown. He wasn’t sure what it had to do with his character but he knew that two colors were his favorite. Werewolves also had their colors just like the others although it usually turned into a dull grey when the full moon was approaching. Vampires had no color which he assumed because they were not really alive. Normally, the light surrounding the person looked like a solid colored vapor, so he was surprised when his eyes caught the anomaly among the students at the field. Her color was dark red. Maroon, possibly. And she was shining. Literally. And it shouldn't be shining! Rhys' eyes stopped glinting in silver, now looking at the girl with his normal eyes. Who is she? She didn't look familiar at all. Rhys had been in this school for years so he pretty much knew everyone. New kid? He did hear the school got some newcomers but he had never seen any of them yet. He stood from the bench, ignoring the call from the fairy he asked to spar earlier and went for her instead, tapping her shoulder when he got there. "Hey there. Um.. Wanna partner up for this? I'm still waiting for my turn but I saw you alone here so.."

[Eira Cináed]

Eira was so focused on fairies that were sparring in front of her when she felt something weird happening, it’s not even windy that day, nor was it cold or chilly but the hair on her nape and arms were erecting. It was very subtle but it’s enough clue to alert her of another presence of someone else. Yes there are a lot of fairies in that training ground but someone’s looking at her from somewhere. It’s not even a sixth sense, just the standard five, or more like, her power at work too. Subconsciously, she rubbed her arms softly as her eyes simply surveyed the area for anything out of ordinary. This is a new sensation… but what’s causing it? And why?

Someone tapped her shoulder, the sudden contact caused chills to run down her spine and a few of the hairs froze under that touch, the warmth spreading in her scalp to the roots and down to her arms. Eira shuddered, not in a negative sort of way, but something else entirely. Then she'd realized it was all about magic, magic that clawed at her mind, pulling her emotions apart and all over the place and making them even harder to control. What was this feeling? Very slowly, she turned around to face the one who made her feel this way, and was met with those eyes. His eyes were the softest brown infused with green, but the brown element was the more dominant one. She was frozen in her place as her gaze met his. There was something about the guy in front of her which she couldn’t fathom. All she knew was that it was a very weird sensation, hopefully the hair in her arms aren’t noticeable as it’s currently rising to attention it’s embarrassing! How can she even explain it? The goosebumps could be felt all over her skin and the warmth spreading inside her. She’d never felt this way before. This little incident intrigued the wind fairy to no end and there’s only one way to find out about this mystery surrounding this guy. Get to know him. He was asking her if she wanted to pair up for this activity and since she’s fairly new and didn’t know anyone just yet, she nodded and agreed, finally finding her voice. “Very well, I would be delighted to.” Bringing her hand up for a handshake, she introduced herself, “Eira. My name is Eira.” This is the first time he’d seen the guy and it’s only fair that they’ve introduced first.

[Rhys Theron]

It was not hard for Rhys to notice the shudder the moment he tapped her shoulders. Thanks to his Human Behaviorism class he got himself paying attention to any small details of human behavior from a simple eye roll to a bigger and subtler body language. He was not an expert on it but it was proven helpful when he was using his light aura, so he tried to apply it a lot. For a second he was considering whether he should take a peek at her color again, just to see the gleaming of her maroon and probably something else, because he was kind of sure he might scare her a second ago even though he wasn’t aware of the reason. But what if he used his power and it scared her even more? He wasn’t approaching her to threaten her but to ask for a partnership in combat. Or maybe she wasn’t used to combat fighting and just nervous? He could’ve asked the others as his partner, the fairy guy earlier seemed to be available already, but her presence itself brought out the curiosity from him and he didn’t want to miss finding out more. So he waited, but prepared himself for rejection. The moment she turned around, the first thing he noticed were her eyes, which reminded him of the sky before a downpour, which had the calmness and strength behind it. There was usually lightning in those sky, warning the people beneath to stay inside the house or prepare themselves for the rain. He was looking for the gleaming lightning in her pair, and if he saw it, he would take it as a warning for him being uninvited and he would back away. But he didn’t. The silence between them made him feel awkward that heat started to creep around his neck, raising to his ears without permission. Rhys was not a stranger when it comes to interacting with girls. He had met plenty of them. He had his adoptive sister whom he casually conversed with and fought with, Jade, who had been his good friend for years ever since he came to Ravensward and he got Aurora, his partner for all the light fairy things. He could normally interact with them, without a hint of nervousness. And yet, here he is standing in front of the new girl telling himself not to trip over his own feet because it suddenly felt out of place, when it’s actually not, just by her gaze. “That’s.. That’s nice.” He replied, somehow managed to say clear words instead of croaking. “Eira..” Eira. Eira. Eira. He chanted her name in his mind as he shook her hand. “I’m Rhys. Are you new? I don’t think I’ve seen you around. And have you done this before?” asked him, pointing at the combat scene next to them with his thumb, for confirmation.

---

It was weird seeing Aina not in her usual eye color, the mix of green and gray, and her soft brown hair, but he must admit the blue grey color she currently had still suited her. He liked the original color more, of course, but he knew it was just a play and he would see the usual pair of eyes again after it's over.

[Eira Cináed]

If they’re just practicing, Aina would have laughed by now, it’s entertaining to see a flustered Lars It could just be because of make-up, but it looks natural to her which made the scene even more real. There’s one thing Aina had in common with her character Eira, it’s confidence. They often do not shift their eyes away when talking to someone. They both like observing the other person’s reactions and expressions by looking at them in the eyes, because you’ll understand the person better that way. You’ll be surprised to know there’s more to the person than what they’re saying. Just like Lars, their time at the ice skating rink suddenly came to mind. And as for Eira to Rhys, her character is curious about him.

---

Rhys loves people watching, it’s some sort of habit for her. Proper etiquette dictates you speak clearly and respectfully and use eye contact whenever necessary. It should have been the case here too but for some unknown reason, as she stared at him right in the eyes, locked in his gaze, Eira felt conscious at being “seen”. Like the guy knows what she’s currently thinking. She immediately shifted her eyes away, to his hair and ears. It was simply too awkward to sustain the eye contact. As the saying goes, the eyes are the window to the soul, and right now, the guy appeared to be “peering in”, and she knew exactly how vulnerable she is at being on the receiving end. It seemed she’s not the only one who’s affected though because she noticed something, his ears were suddenly red, as well as his neck. Eira found herself smiling at the view. He repeated her name which brought Eira’s attention back to his soft brown rings combined with the smoothness of his features and honeyed skin. Holy cow, where did that come from?! Eira chastised herself, it’s not like this is the first time she’d seen or talked to a guy. There were some suitors back at her former school, but she’s always not interested because no one seemed to be worthy enough. And besides, if a guy can’t even fight her equally, they’re not worthy of her time. Majority of them are just bunch of horny idiots.

“Rhys…” It’s a nice name, very unique. Eira mused internally as she smiled. “Nice to meet you Rhys.” Her smiled wavered at his next question. “Unfortunately, yes, I’m one of the new fairies. I have a twin sister, so that makes two of us.” She couldn’t stop feeling bitter and resentful at being transferred. She really doesn’t hate the place, it’s the circumstances which brought her here that’s bothering her a lot. It’s hard to move on from what happened in her former school, the humiliation that befallen her family because of her stupidity. One simple act, one wrong move and everything she built in that school was ruined, it crumbled to the ground faster than the blink of an eye. So yes, she’s bitter about it. As for his question if she’d done this before, Eira slowly stepped back with that smug look on her face. Once she’s at a good distance, she took a fight stance, “Why don’t you find out?” and beckoned him, “Give me your best shot.” She didn’t know why her heart is beating erratically, maybe because she’s excited about this fight to see if he’s good at hand-to-hand combat.

---

Aina is conscious about her stance but hey she’d practiced this with Lars many times before, just to perfect this scene with him. Both aren’t good at this, but they were taught the right moves just for this particular scene. There was that small smile she’s controlling but even before it made its appearance, Aina stopped herself and instead, put on that don’t-mess-with-me look of Eira.

[Rhys Theron]

Naturally, Rhys’ hand went up to cover his right ears because he could tell it was turning red, from the heat and from the smile that appeared on her face, feeling even more embarrassed of himself. They hadn’t even started training yet he could tell his pulse was rising. Eira. He repeated the name again. Guaranteed, he wouldn’t forget her name after they finished with their training. He wouldn’t forget the face though, he was most sure about that. Her eyes caught his again and Rhys found himself looking anywhere but her eyes. He stared at the pair of vampires behind her instead and one of them returned his gaze with a questioning look, which brought himself back to her.. hair. He mentally facepalmed at his attitude. It should be nothing, her gaze, but it felt like she was trying to look for something within him and while Rhys had nothing to hide, but maybe the reason he approached her, he couldn’t help but feel self-conscious.

“Nice to meet you too.” He returned the smile, feeling proud at himself for at least managing to have a normal conversation despite the strange feeling and nerve he currently had. So she was new. “I see,” he simply said. Unfortunately. He took notice of her word choice. There could be another reason behind it but Rhys took it as her not very fond of the idea of transferring here. It was a complete opposite with him. He remembered seven years ago when he first got into the school and it was the best feeling ever, like he finally felt like he belonged somewhere and he wouldn’t trade the feeling for anything. It was all thanks to his dad to find him when he’s still so young. Or it could be she is just feeling anxious about being a new kid at school and that one thing he could help with. He got Aurora last year after all. She had a twin, and he made note of it, starting to wonder if they would have the same color surrounding them. But he could check that for later and for now he was going to focus on the training.

She seemed confident and it sent a grin to his face. “I guess you have.” She had a good fighting stance, nothing looked awkward about it unlike most beginners. “I won’t hold back then.” He took a few steps back away from her, copying her. “Power is allowed.” It was hand-to-hand combat, yes, but in the real fight it would be impossible for them fairies to fight without their power as it was the best asset they had. Plus, he was curious about her type. He was guessing fire fairy but it could be wrong. The moment he finished with his words, his eyes glowed in silver, once again using his power to look at her color. Still maroon and still strangely shining. He tried to ignore that for now and charged forward, swinging his fist, aiming for her face.

Lars felt like wincing. He had practiced this a lot with her. It was choreographed well so they should be able to prevent any injuries, but still accidents could happen. What if he accidentally punches her face? Or worse, she punched him? Didn’t she break someone’s nose before? That was definitely something he’d rather not experience.

[Eira Cináed]

Very awkward…

Eira mused as the guy covered his ears, it’s an obvious and visible indicator that he’s embarrassed. His face may have stayed perfectly composed, but his neck and ears gave him away. And Eira found it cute. Her smile remained; she even bit her lower lip to refrain herself from saying anything to avoid embarrassing him further. She doesn’t blush often but it’s worse when it happens to her. She has very pale skin so imagine if it’s her who will blush, she won’t be able to hide it properly. People can tell what emotion she’s feeling even if she doesn’t want them to know. If she’s angry, embarrassed, or afraid, she cannot hide that from others. There is nothing she can do to change this about herself. As you might guess, she’s not a very good liar. Even though she’s not good at handling her emotions, her reactions usually give her away too. It was a good thing she just came from jogging, still a bit sweaty and her cheeks were red from the heat and sweat. If her cheeks were red right now, it could be for different reasons, but she couldn’t deny the fact that the guy is one of those reasons.

What she’s thankful for was the fact that Rhys didn’t ask her why she’s not happy to be here. She didn’t want others prying in her private life. Telling him that she’s one of the new fairies is already a challenge because it brings back the bitter feeling as the management of her old school talked to her and her parents. It was a very humiliating moment for her especially in front of her parents. Her dad couldn’t believe what she did, but he didn’t scold her nor ask her what went wrong. Instead, they talked like the usual, which only made her feelings worse. She would have accepted it if he interrogated her, or shouted at her, because it’s the expected reaction. But acting calm and composed? She didn’t know how to react with that.

Taking a fighting stance, Eira waited for her partner to do the first move. Yes, she’s confident about her skills in hand-to-hand combat, she’s one of the few who are good in it from her former school, and she pride herself for being able to fight the guys in her batch equally, even better than them. Rhys allowed them to use their power. Come to think of it, she had no idea what type he is, sometimes she’s too focus on physical stuff that she’s always forgetting they are also fairies. Aurora is right, it’s time to focus on magic and powers in this school. She was surprised to see his eyes glowed silver the moment he activated his power…fellow wind? Shit no, light? Eira was not sure yet but she’s not going to back down when it comes to duel. She got her pride and her reputation on the line here. Her smirk widened just as he charged toward her, aiming for her face if her assumption is correct. Her wind power flowed around her, and her eyes glowed - combination of blue, green, violet color and her aura charged with wind, making the small rocks and other small things around her float in the air.

Before his fist hit her face, Eira caught his hand easily with her palm, not directly touching as her power is the one preventing it from touching even the slightest part of her skin. The part where the wind is touching his hand vibrated. Her gaze went to their hands before looking up at him, there’s still that smile on her lips, “Nice try Rhys…but that won’t work on me.” She’s about to push his hand away when the unexpected happened. It started as a hum followed by a sizzle and when she looked at her hand, wind and electricity swirled toward Rhys’s hand, surrounding both their hands. It's shining brightly. Eira gasped in awe and amazement. “Wha--” She glanced at the guy, unsure what’s happening now… It was warm to touch but she could feel that slight zing of electricity coming from both their hands going to her body, making her shake, impacting the beating of her heart. Did he feel it too? She was speechless and the only thing she could do was look at Rhys in awe before her gaze went to their hands. "What's happening?"

This is the part where Aina knew what's happening based on their character's script. She believed in soulmate but meeting and encountering the right one this way - this magical moment - whatever this is, is something she wished will happen to her too. Is that even possible in real life?

[Rhys Theron]

Offense is the best defense. He always believed that, that's why whenever he was sparring with someone, he usually took his chance being the first one to attack, trying to not give his partner any opportunity for a counter attack. Rhys didn't have a big build, unlike many of his friends, as he focused more on sharpening his power than increasing his body mass and muscles. It would be advantageous to have a bigger build in combat because it means the attack would have a greater damage, but many times the size of the body didn't actually matter. Those having a better strategy would always win. He aimed for that, using tactics and techniques more than physical power. His power helped anyway. By gathering the light in a certain location close to his opponent's eyes, he could blind them for a few seconds, meaning more chance for him to attack. He had to be careful though, if he put too much force on his light power, he could really make someone blind forever and he believed nobody would appreciate that. Nobody deserves that. And there was a chance he would be kicked out of school and he should avoid that at any cost because he loved this school too much, even if he had to share the peace with his hideous sister.

Rhys didn't even need to see a layer of brighter red cloaking her maroon to know the ambition she had for sparring. Her smirk was enough. He knew right away Eira was enjoying this and was confident with her skill. At first he thought he should go easy on her, because she's a girl and many of them usually joined the training just because it was part of the curriculum, not because it was fun, not because they wanted to do it. But she seemed different. He didn't know what she was like before Ravensward but the image of her beating up the guys suddenly came to his mind. A laughter threatened to escape his mouth at the image. He knew he didn't need to go easy on her and he knew she would like it if he didn't. He shifted his power as he took charge on her; she was now looking normal, with no color surrounding her, and he focused on the light particles around him, getting ready to alter it when necessary. The first thing he noticed was the strange movement of the wind around her (air fairy, got it) then her eyes. It would be a lie if he said her eyes were not distracting. It really is. He remembered the first time he met Aurora and how her eyes were also distracting as they had different colors, but this was different. Eira had a literal rainbow in her eyes and it was mesmerizing. Focus, Rhys.

Too late to focus. He felt his fist hitting something soft yet strong. He knew he wasn't touching her face because she didn't budge. Glancing at his fist, he noticed the wind stopping his attack and when he put more force in his fist, it vibrated. His silver eyes looked at her pair of rainbows as she spoke and letting out a soft scoff he said, "The punch is not the only technique I got." Then he gathered the particle of light around his fist, planning to use light projection by making a light beam, surely it would be able to push her power back then touchdown for him. However, he couldn't prove if the technique worked because something strange happened. He knew some air fairy was able to control electricity and for a second he thought she was going to electrocute him, the moment he heard the sizzling sound coming from her hand. So he prepared for it. But it should sting when you're electrocuted, right? Yet he didn't feel it. Even when he could see electricity swirled toward his hand. His power was still activated and that might cause it to start shining brightly and create little sparks around their hands. Did their power just.. fuse? His eyes widened in surprise. He didn't know it was possible, especially since he thought his power was not compatible with the others. Looking at her, she seemed to be as surprised and confused as he was, so he guessed there was no point in asking her for explanation. Still having his power, he relaxed his body and fist, no longer having them in a fighting stance because it didn't even matter anymore, then he opened his palm, so it was mirroring against her smaller hand. That's when he felt it: the electricity running through his veins and reaching his heart. The heart skipped a beat before it started beating hard. It was not the usual electric shock considering how pleasant it was. It felt like his inside was burning and it spread warmth all over him. "I don't know.." He muttered quietly, staring at their hands in curiosity. "But it feels.." Good. Would it be weird if he said it felt good? Rhys could feel his cheeks flushing.

It was Rhys' heart which beating hard, wasn't it? Not mine, Lars thought.

[Eira Cináed]

There’s a main reason why Eira doesn’t use her power more often especially when she’s battling. She always resorts to physical strength if she can help it and using her wind as a last resort. Like what she initially believed in, she was born into a family of fire fairies. It is only expected that her power will be of fire related as well, like the rest of her family. One day, her and Elina argued about something she can’t remember now, it was just a typical children fight, nothing more than some few words thrown at each other which affected her so bad that her power activated unexpectedly. She didn’t know what came over her but the moment she raised her hand towards Elina’s direction, her twin sister held her throat as if an invisible force is choking her. Elina almost died by her hands that day, it was a traumatic experience for a child to see your twin sister dying in front of you, by your own doing, without even realising it. If her dad didn’t come quickly, she would have instantly killed Elina. Wind is one of the basic nature elements, it’s everywhere hence she can use it anytime she wants. It’s an offensive power, one that could end a life in an instant if she loses control. It was scary too but at the same time it’s useful in battle. Using the wind, her opponent will have a hard time touching her. One would need a long-range power to be able to hurt her.

His eyes…it’s so bright, they’re like lightning in a cloud-filtered storm light, blinding her vision and muddling her sense of thoughts. While Rhys was looking at her with that silver eyes of his, she was curious how she sees her. Does she look different, or the same? She never really asks Aurora even when they’re still attending their former school. She just knew light is an awesome power that uses energy, generate or manipulate light. But what’s the scope of that light, she had no idea. The only thing she’s familiar with is the fire power because of her family, most especially Elina. They usually practice a lot together, they know how to counter their own powers, as well as make it even stronger. She can feed Elina’s power and make her fire bigger and stronger, whist she can also put out that fire if she so wanted. While waiting for him to do the first move, she’s hoping he will give her his best shot. What she hated the most is underestimating her skills. Being a girl doesn’t mean she’s weak and uninterested in combat. Seeing other people's reaction once they’ve learned she’s trained and therefore good in fighting, is the best satisfaction there is. Now, how Rhys deals with women is still unknown, she’s about to find out. Whatever he’s seeing in her eyes was lost on Eira, she’s used to seeing those rainbow colour by now whenever she activates her power and checks herself in the mirror. It was odd, yes, very distracting even, but that’s her power alright!

Rhys warned her it’s not just the punch he got, and she believed him. There’s no doubt he can manipulate their situation in an instant thus she’s always cautious with her actions. Always thinking one step ahead of her opponent, always giving herself enough space so she can move freely if the situation requires it. But unexpected things happened, she was surprised to see her own electric power came out. She didn’t remember activating that one, it’s one of the powerful techniques in her arsenal, it’s only expected she will use it as last resort, only in terms of emergencies, or a life-or-death situation. What brought this on? Did she unconsciously activate it in response to his light power? How is that even possible? The electricity, combined with the wind and power created sparks around them. It was mesmerising to watch, as well as unnerving because of the internal effect it had on her. Is that normal? Never did she hear or read anywhere that different powers - which aren’t compatible - will react this way – they’re mingling, blending...It’s the most ‘magical’ thing she had ever witnessed in her life, one of a kind. More than that, it has a profound effect in her body, most especially her heart. Like Rhys, Eira shifted and relaxed her stance, as well as her fist, opening it up as both watched the rare occurrence unfold before them. She didn’t know why her cheeks warmed, it’s possibly because of the loud beating of her heart, she’s afraid Rhys will hear it. “This is the first time I’ve seen something like this.” Eira shared to distract herself because it’s becoming too much for her now. When he spoke, Eira turned her attention back to him. He seemed to be having a hard time coming up with the right word to describe it…it was Eira who supplied the word, because it’s what she thinks about it. “…good…and…right.” Like it’s meant to be. Her eyes narrowed at that. Snorting, she quickly added, "Ignore what I've said.” Her eyes returned to their usual color, bluish gray, cutting their ‘link’. Eira balled her hand, still feeling like she’s electrocuted, from her hand to her heart. She found herself looking at Rhys again, wondering what he thinks about what happened. Oddly, her left wrist is starting to tingle, it feels hot, burning her skin, so she hid her hand subtly behind her.

-----

Some people she knew will roll their eyes at the idea of soulmates, understandably so. It’s far-fetched to believe there’s only one perfect match out there for each of them. Eira was supposed to be gazing at Rhys, therefore, she is too with Lars. In that moment, she wondered what’s Lars’s opinion about soulmate? Will he surprise her yet again about such notion? He surprised her with his view of love, it’s probably no different regarding this topic. For her soulmate is having that profound, powerful and often instant link with someone. He’s not supposed to be perfect, but someone who goes through rough patches with her which teaches them important lessons and help them grow. Someone who challenges every bit of her, drives her crazy, and stirs her deepest passions. Aina isn’t sure yet if her soulmate will give her that rush of crazy emotions or hormones, like they say in romantic movies and love story pocketbooks. What she’s imagining is that it will feel comfortable and peaceful, and all you can think about is how happy you are to be with him. Like being at home the minute you get to know each other. Her heart is suddenly beating so loud just thinking of those thoughts. Eira is so lucky to have met her soulmate when she least expected it, and she envy her for her luck…or was it fate?
