[Fallon Steelgrave]

Fallon was situated in the VIP stand, meeting several staff members of the hospital. However, she had to excuse herself when the game was a few minutes way from starting. Using Sonorus, Fallon addressed the public attending the match. "Welcome quidditch fans from all over Britain and Ireland to the championship match of the 2020 British and Irish Quidditch League. Today, the Kenmare Kestrels and Ballycastle Bats will complete for the Championship, but first, I would remind you all to donate what you can for St. Mungo's. You can find donate boxes all around the stadium. Every donation, is greatly appreciated, and will be used to further advance our Magical Healing Processes. Now, I'd like to introduce Head Healer Jin Marrow, who'll give the start sign of today's game."

Using Sonorus as well, Jin followed suit. "Welcome everyone! Like what the Minister said, the Hospital would highly appreciate your monetary donations. We thank you in advance for your help. It will help fund a new wing we're planning to build focusing on the mental health of our patients. The money can also be of great service in terms of buying new equipments that would, no doubt, help more people in the future. Now, without further ado... let's watch something fun, shall we? Don't forget to cheer the loudest for your team! I'm honored to introduce to you... the KENMARE KESTRELS!" Jin and the rest watched in awe as they did their introduction. After half a minute has passed, she continued the introductions. "Now, please welcome the BALLYCASTLE BATS!" The other team had their own show to give and Jin grinned from ear to ear. "Wonderful! Players, take your positions, please." The players took their respective positions in the field and with a wave of her wand, the quaffle hovered at the center. "LET THE GAMES... BEGIN!" With another wave of her wand, the quaffle was tossed into the air, the blugders and the golden snitch were also released and then league championship has begun!

This is it! Finally Alaric is on the pitch and gripping his broom tightly whist trying to tune out all the cheers and mainly focusing on the quaffle in the hands of the referee. As soon as it’s released, Alaric dived and snatched the quaffle. He smirked inwardly as how easy it was. Sorry for being smug about it but duh! He leaned down and zoomed across the pitch, he eyed Astrid to be on the guard just in case. Before he threw the quaffle and smacked it with his broom, he grinned at the opposing keeper and quickly pivoted so he could whack the quaffle into the left side hoop!

[Astrid Alcantara]

Astrid didn’t have time to exchange niceties with the reporter because the rest of the team had arrived headed by the captain. "Excuse us. Looks like the game was about to start." Astrid grabbed Alaric so they could finish all the necessary preparations and soon, they were exiting the lockers to the cheer of thousands of people. The noise was deafening ang her heart skipped when she saw the people in black and red. Her heart started beating fast and after the introductions of both teams, the game has begun.

 

Astrid said a quick prayer to whatever supreme being was listening and off they go. The snitch and the bludgers were released and the seekers and beaters went on to do what they do best. The chasers were all looking at the quaffle like it was the last fruit that ever existed in the planet and it was the only thing that could bring life back as we know it. Once the quaffle was released, the Chasers had flew in different directions but Alaric was the one who was able to snatch the quaffle. "YES!" she whooped and focused on guarding Alaric and the quaffle just in case there was a need to assist.

Alex was quiet as they got in line, so they can start the game. This was uncharacteristic as he was usually a hypeman, boosting morale and doing what he can to alleviate stress-levels and make sure everyone was battle-ready. But today… well he was quiet. But he was sure they didn't require any sorts of encouragement. They already got it courtesy of their new fans and family members watching at the stands. They were all in the game mindset… except him.

 

One deep breath later and they were out! Experience made him easily tune out the noise of cheers as they got in position. His eyes locked in on the golden snitch as it was released. It was his sole target, his singular focus and his one goal. The Bats might be made up of rookies by half but he's got faith in them and their skills. He reckons they're even better players than some of these so-called 'pros' who've gotten complacent in their positions and maybe what they need is a good dose of reality-check.

 

When the quaffle was tossed, the game officially starts. Immediately, he started to search for the snitch. The rest of them already know what they're supposed to do and he completely trusted them and so thought he was unneeded for now. Might as well make himself useful.

[Carina Thomas]

A female voice loudly boomed across the stadium, and Carina popped her head back into the room. Ooh, it was finally time! The Seeker jogged lightly in place for a few seconds to get the blood pumping, and grinned as another woman took over. "Alright, this is it, guys. Get ready to head out," she told the rest of the team. As soon as the last syllable of 'Kestrels' had finished booming across the stadium, Carina headed out into the sunlight, out onto the pitch where the action was about to go down. She basked in the sound of the cheers, letting her eyes close for a brief moment to savour it. Then the Bats were announced, and Carina watched Alaric come out with the rest of his team. It was a rush to finally be playing against him, but this obviously wasn't the time nor place to be making faces at him. She had a bigger goal to focus on. The Seeker got into position, eyeing the other Seeker briefly before turning her focus to the snitch. She was at the ready, clutching her broom and waiting for the signal. All at once, the Quaffle, Bludgers, and Snitch were released, and she was now in game-mode. Carina shot off in the direction she'd seen the snitch go, swooping down to duck under a few players as she willed her broom to pick up speed.

Kate answered the interviewer question. Suddenly, the announcement of the game started. She then said to the Journalist Sofiya, "Excuse me. The game seems to about to start" She excuse herself to go to their line up. She mounted her broom. In her mind this is finally the game she was waiting for. As she kicked off in the announcement of the Kenmare Kestrels. She kicked off her broom and flew. She smiled for the fans of course and waved her bat as she flew around the stadium. She tried to remember where her boys were seated and make sure she flew also in that side. 

 

As the game was about to start, she flew to her position and put on her game mode. The Quaffle, Bludgers and the snitch was released. Her eyes looked at who was able to take the first quaffle. Seeing that the Bats chaser Alaric was able to get the quaffle. Her eyes looked for an opportunity to block the chaser from scoring. She looked for any Bludger flying near her place that can possibly be routed to the chaser. She saw one bludger and ready her arms to hit it with her bat. Focus Kate Focus.. She hit the bludger towards the direction of Bats Alaric. She observed any other options if this is a fail. 

[Victoria Noelle Armend]

It was finally game time. Tori was glad that she went to the stands and talk to her parents before the game. It gave her the push that she needed to do better than already was and it also helped alleviate the anxiety that she was feeling since that morning. She almost felt sick in her stomach even during their morning drills and last instructions before they were let to relax and wander just before the game. Seeing her parents and seeing them so proud of her and what she had accomplished so far was more than enough to boost her confidence. Tori had gone down to the lockers with Alec in tow because why not. The rest of the team was there and everyone prepared in silence. It was clear that they were all nervous. Even the captain was silent which was kind of weird since he’s usually the one who hypes all of them up before every game and make them feel more at ease before they get on their brooms and take on the pitch. There was no time to dwell on that one. Grabbing her bat, Tori jumped on her broom and soon, they were being introduced one second and they were off.

 

Once the balls are released, Tori immediately went to work and tailed one of the bludgers. She swooshed around the pitch while keeping an eye out for her teammates who might need the assist. Alaric has the quaffle and she could see Astrid flying near him. A flash of green caught her eye and she saw the Kestrel beater eyeing Alaric. Tori’s vision singled onto the bludger that was incoming and she flew straight to its path to protect Alaric and the quaffle. With a backhand swing, her bat collided with the bludger and sent it zooming back towards the other team’s beater. It's better to take out the threat early in the game, she learned.

[Seth Alexander Ryuu]

It wasn't long until the game began and they were lining up to go. Soon, voices echoed through the entire stadium as they were announced. It was an exciting moment! There was a slight tension in the air though, something he never noticed in the previous games, coming off their captain—which he'd found strange. Captain Alex was usually a beacon of calm and confidence but he's way too serious right now he'd felt a little concerned. Alec convinced himself it was nothing. Just sheer focus since this was it! It was now or never! They were off then, exiting toward the pitch to deafening cheers! Once the game started, Alec quickly sped toward the goal posts, already executing out a tactic which they've previously discussed: a variation of the double eight loop. In the meantime, he watched the action unfold. Alaric seized the quaffle, smoothly moving across the pitch. There was an oncoming bludger and for a second, he'd been worried! He really shouldn't've though; he can't help but whoop in delight. Tori made the save!

[Kate Marie Samja-Hyun]

Kate was alert looking at the bludger she hit but it was blocked by the Bats Beater. The Bludger was headed towards her. She did a double flip and hit the bludger with her bat away towards the Bat's goal so she can't be hit by it. She was alert as she doesn't want to fall to the ground in a game. It was much better to get better poses for the press when she flies. So, focus on the game and make sure she has good tricks for the camera. As she get her head in the game, she put her eyes on Carina hoping she will find the snitch while observing also their chasers. She was looking for a way for someone from their chasers to try and steal that quaffle. She held her bat looking for another way to try and knockdown that Bats chaser with a quaffle. She flew up to get a better view and look for her next step according to plan.

Jason couldn't help but let out a chuckle because what she said was funny. He felt slightly at ease but the reporter's comment had him riled up a little. She was definitely digging for gossip and he wasn't going to let his anxiety get the better of her. Fixing the straps of his arm pads, he glanced up as their other captain came in and gave him a quick nod. He was fine or he was going to be fine. It wasn't the first time Jace was playing quidditch so he knew there wasn't much to worry about. "Who isn't? But I know we are going to nail it." He flashed Sofiya a smirk-ish smile, turning to face the stadium as the Minister's voice boomed out, a sign that the match was about to commence. Excusing himself from any more questions, Jason swiftly grasped his broom from the bench. He readied himself, taking a deep breath, his broom clutching tightly in his hand as the spotlight was given to the Head Healer, hence starting the match. The moment his team was announced, Jace along with the rest flew out in the formation going straight for the quaffle but the other chaser beat him to it. Jace exchanged a look with the other chasers as they started coming together to their agreed tactic, going after the opposition's chaser.

1. If Bats chaser answers first: he/she gets a goal.

[Tyler Joseph]

As soon as Tyler appeared, he noticed his team with the press but a few minutes later the announcement of the Minister had them all prepared at the line. “Let’s do this!” He called out supportively to his team, flying into the field as soon as the Kestrels were announced. There team did a loop as the crowd cheered, their vivacious energy bouncing within him. The Bats came next and Tyler watched them with interest. Everyone thought that they were an underdog team, since the players mostly new but had immense talent than any other. Clearly, they weren’t picked randomly. With the quaffle released, Tyler flew after the Bats chaser who had it, taking the Woollongong Shimmy formation that their team had practiced from the longest time. They sped towards the opposition chasers, trying to distract them but they were faster. The Bats flew to score but luckily their keeper blocked it. The quaffle was thrown back in their direction and Tyler caught it, turning around to speed towards the oppositions goal.

Alaric was totally in the zone, all the cheers were tuned out and his focus was only in the game and the quaffle on his side. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Astrid tailing behind him, he couldn’t help but send a grin her way. He knew he could count on her if ever there’s little mishap along the way, or if he missed shooting this quaffle. She always thinks of clever way to save his arse and vice versa, that’s why they work well together. It was like a slowmo for Alaric as soon as his broom hit the quaffle, time stood still for everyone else and the only thing that he could see was the movement of the quaffle toward one of the hoops and the loud beating of his heart. He didn’t realize he’s actually holding his breath while all of this is happening, nor did he notice some other actions happening around him – like when Kate hit the bludger his way or when Tori hit it back with her bat in an attempt to redirect it and save him as he try to make a goal for his team. After like forever, his eyes narrowed when the Keeper from the other team was able to counteract his action and hit the quaffle away from the hoops before it can even reach there. He grumbled and he did a sharp turn to go after their chaser. He won’t miss next time! He narrowed his eyes at Astrid, "Astrid!" he motioned for her to do their usual formation to go after the opposing Chaser.

Astrid was tailing Alaric to assist whenever needed. They have some tactics planned but the first few minutes of the game is very important for them to establish some kind of dominance over the pitch. This is their home base and they are not going down when they have the homecourt advantage. This is their turf and they cannot let the opposing team get the better of them. It’s unacceptable. Things were happening so fast that while Astrid was flying around Alaric, she saw a blur of red and black and a loud whack!. It was Tori hitting the bludger that was going to hit Alaric. That was a close call. Good thing Tori was there to protect them. Alaric had gone near the goal post and the moment that the quaffle was air borne and the Kestrel’s keeper was guarding the hoops. Astrid motioned towards Alaric and the redhead flew straight towards the goal post and the quaffle. The keeper was able to block it though and she cursed out loud because of it. That was a close call but they can defintely bounce back. Astrid caught Alaric's eye and followed him in their usual formation ready to snatch that quaffle back.

Tori watched the bludger zoom towards the other team’s beater. She hoped that her sudden attack would catch her by surprise but the beater was able to pull off a double flip manoeuvre and hit the bludger back to send it towards the direction of the Bats’ side of the field. She can’t figure out the physics behind that manoeuvre since it seems like an impossible feat that defies all the laws of physics and the ability of a human body but she managed to pull it off. Good for the Kestrels. Maybe they really don’t need another beater. Tori, on the other hand, flew up in search of the other bludger. She heard a groan from the Bats’ side and she knew even without looking that Alaric had missed the goal. They are still in the game and Tori was feeling more ruthless every second that passes. This girl is out for blood.

Kate was being on guard this time. She keep on a look out at their chaser. As she looked at Tyler, the plan they practiced before was executed. Kate holding her bat and making sure she was also in watch on any Bludger. She speed up going along the formation Tyler triggered. When the Bats was about to score. Great block by their Keeper. Kate stopped in mid air then she decided to follow Tyler's back as he fly towards their goal. She was at the back flying being a guard for Tyler. She kept her senses up so that she can support their Chaser if any bludger goes their way. Her bat is always ready to hit anything.

 

She isn't that inexperienced player. This may be the Quidditch league. But, this isn't her first time holding a bat and flying. She may have stopped for years but no one knows how hard she has to train to regain her old skills ones again. Specially she knows that she is the only beater of the team.

Alec watched the action from where he was stationed; his glee was short-lived though as the quaffle was stolen and the energy in the whole pitch shifted. There was also an oncoming bludger making its way toward the goalposts. But Arianna, one of the older and more experienced pros and their other beater, made the save by appearing seemingly out of nowhere and hitting it with a shattering force, sending it far away from where he was (yes, this was permitted don't @ me). Alec gave her a salute and refocused. Alaric and Astrid were on the move though; he was really hoping one of them can steal. In case they don't though… well, that's why he was put in this game, right? His muscles tightened as he got ready, his stance changing subtly as other players started to close in. Alec can feel his calm heartbeat begin accelerating as he waited in anticipation. The strike was made then and he quickly zoomed across the rings, as quick as his sturdy broom can make it. With one gloved hand sticking out, he struck the quaffle away as hard as he could.
