Annabelle, I think you will find there are a lot of things you can do with a chemistry degree. It really depends on what kinds of chemistry you enjoy most.

College: Mount Sain't Mary's University
Major: Chemistry & Biochemistry
Minor: -
Other: Planning on going into a PhD program after school, hopefully at a really great university! It would me nice to be a professor someday. We have quidditch tournaments in the spring and fall here, they are a lot of fun! I was a snitch this past fall.

College: University of North Texas
Major: Mechanical and Energy Engineering (Looking at Physics and Math as potential double and triple majors)
Minor: Business and Math (Hating business. . .)
Other: Member of the math club, although I do not go to meetings. I am also a member of Mensa. Have made an attempt to go the all of those meetings this semester. Dormed with a bunch of engineers that act far from the stereotypical.

Have to say I am fairly pleased with all of the STEM majors. No offense to anything else, but math and science is all that makes sense to me.

Emmanuel, I would highly suggest getting involved in something. Even if it's just events your college does. Go to them!

Also, it always blows my mind to see how diverse of degrees and subjects we all have! I would never think of HO as a place that people getting a doctorate in theoretical physics would hang out at!

yes, I'll actually be goint to the orientation in a couple of weeks and I expect to do much more once I live over there.
If we do meet a future doctor on here, lets hope he gives HO members discount :)

Well guys, I'm writting here cuz I need an advise I guess.
I'm a flight attendant, been working my ass off (sorry the language xD) the last 4 years and now I'm feeling rather dull. I don't really love my job but it pays my bills. I've been thinking about going to college for a career change. I haven't been before and neither I'm very sure what to do. Turth be told, I wanted a degree in Astronomy but I suxed at physics in High School so I guess I don't stand a change in Astronomy lol.
Because of my job, I guess I should have a goal at distance education. It's very expensive to sit at a campus, I'd have to quit my job and start anew and money would end sooner or later. Besides I have some kind of social phobia, I can't imagine myself having to sit around 18y creeps who party and drink all year long. And imagine sharing in a room in a dormy?! So I tought about Nursing, but that's smth I can't do distance education =/ I searched around the web and found business administration at the university of London and I could either go there to write the tests or go to my local embassy. I'd keep my job and would pay for the tuition fee only, no need of accomodation etc. But it's not my dreamboat. My mother has a BA degree in Business Adm and she recomends it. Honestly I don't know what to do. I live in Middle East cuz of my job and relocating to anywhere now would coast me a lot of money. I'm very confused! Should I risk the distance education?
Thanx for the time, guys! :-)

@ Ralph and Kierra: R u guys philipinos?? I've been thinking about studying in the Philipines next year.
