Brought to you by Prof. Ann-Louise Montgomery & The Governors of Hogwarts Online
"When castle wakes and candles gleam,
When ancient halls begin to dream,
Four shall rise, one from each Hall,
To answer Hogwarts' timeless call.
Not by wand, nor blood, nor fame,
But heart shall win this ancient game."
Dear Hogwarts Students.
My name is Seraphina Vale, High Commissioner of Magical Games & Sports at the International Confederation of Wizards. As you endeavor to enjoy your summer holidays at Avalon, I wish to bring you greetings on behalf of myself and the entire international community. While we do not wish to interrupt your leisure, the Supreme Mugwump feels it is of the utmost importance that I convey this message:
When you return to Hogwarts this Fall, you should not expect to resume the typical routines to which you have all become familiar. Instead, this year, you will find that your beloved school will once again test the courage, wisdom, dedication, and ambition of its students in the legendary event known as the Hogwarts House Championship.
One student from each house will be selected as Champion to compete for fame and glory in this magnificent tournament. We would be remiss not to ready each and every one of you of your potential to claim this prize. All students will be eligible to compete this year... but be warned, these trials should not be undertaken lightly. They will push each witch and wizard further than any of you have ever been driven before.
But to the winner? An untold story of renown and greatness. Prepare yourselves.
We look forward to seeing you all this Autumn.
With the Utmost Care,
Seraphina Vale
High Commissioner for International Magical Games & Sports
(Order of Merlin, Second Class.)
