Greetings & Salutations,
While I know that not all of us live in the United States, many of you likely know that today was a time of Thanksgiving for many of us in the U.S. and around the world. Conversely, throughout the world, there has been a time of great economic strife, and I know that many of our members have been impacted by this. In fact, I myself have been impacted by this period. This isn't something that most people can admit freely or without shame; however, it is a topic I feel is important now more than ever to highlight.
For many of us, Hogwarts Online has been a magical place where class, race, and geographic location have never mattered. Hogwarts Online has been the great escape from life's troubles. Here you can soar to the greatest heights, master the mightiest of spells, befriend fearsome creatures, and achieve greatness with the stroke of a key.
That is the enduring power of this place we call home. As we look around us in the real world and see darkness and despair and sadness and death, we can look here, we can look at home and see that we are still surrounded by our closest friends living our greatest dreams.
For this my friends, I am truly thankful. And I hope you all will share that sentiment with me today and every day.
For as long as this sentiment remains true for some of us, Hogwarts Online will remain. Happy Thanksgiving, my beloved friends.
G
