[Minister Xander Ryuu]

Official Memorandum from the Office of the Minister for Magic

Date: 10 August, 2025

From: Minister Xander Ryuu

To: All Ministry Officials and Staff

Subject: Introduction of New Ministry Identification System

As part of our continued efforts to modernize Ministry operations and strengthen our collective security, I am pleased to announce the rollout of a new Ministry Identification System, effective 1 September 2025.

This initiative is more than a procedural update. It is a decisive step toward a safer, more efficient, and more unified Ministry. The new ID system will serve as both a personal identifier and a multifunctional access charm, integrating seamlessly with departmental wards, time-tracking spells, and secure communications.

Key features include:

• Personalized Magical Signature embedded in each ID, ensuring only the bearer may activate its functions.
• Secure Access Protocols tied to department-specific enchantments.
• Emergency Alert Function, enabling instant communication with Magical Law Enforcement in the event of a security breach.
• Disillusionment Detection, helping us identify imposters and Polyjuice interference.

In preparation for the issuance of these IDs, all Ministry officials and staff are required to have an updated identification photo taken. This is a mandatory component of the new system and will be enchanted to verify your identity in real time.

Photo sessions will be conducted through the Level 8 - Archive Section, and all staff must be photographed no later than 25 August 2025 to avoid delays in ID activation.

I am grateful for your dedication, and I look forward to building a stronger future for the wizarding world together.

Minister for Magic
