[Prof. Sorcha Logan]

 

I would like to thank Prof. Aqua Rye for her undeniable dedication to Gryffindor house these past 11 and a half years. She has been an integral member of the house administrative team. However, as she has taken on more responsibility in her role as a governor, she has made the decision to pass the torch so that she can focus more wholly on other projects for the site. While we ordinarily promote our deputies into head of house positions, Prof. Mitchell agreed to fill the head of house position with another candidate due to her own personal life responsibilities. 

 

As such, our new Gryffindor head of house is Prof. Mariya Van Veles! The writer behind Mariya has been a long-time member of Hogwarts Online. She has served in administrative roles in the past under different characters. We know she will fulfill the role of head of house well, though there is no replacing Aqua.

 

Please join me in thanking Aqua and welcoming Mariya!

If I can be at least half the HoH Aqua has been, I'll be happy with that.  These are incredibly large shoes to fill and I appreciate the Governor's confidence in me that I can fill this role.

Knowing Prof. Aqua, I am sure it did not come as an easy decision, since in all the years of my stay at Hogwarts,
I had witnessed the passion she had displayed in her house, but above all in her students.
However, I am certain that whoever she passes the torch to is a well-capable person, so thank you for all the years of service.
