2. Admissions

Please register your office and sort into your house. DO NOT use your real name or any character from a book or movie. All names must contain a first and last name. If you submit an invalid email address or sort multiple times your registration will be denied. All registrations must be validated by Hogwarts Online Governors. Once you have been sorted, please contact your Head of House to be sorted on the forum. DO NOT sort more than one time. Only your first sorting will count.

Please register on the forum with the same name you used to register with in the Office Registration & Sorting. Remember to capitalize the first letter of your firat and last name. DO NOT create more than one account. PM or email your Head of House to be sorted into your house group on the forum. Be sure to use a real email address because you will be required to validate your account.

Enrollment is only open at certain times of the year, and for only a certain amount of time. To enroll in classes you go to your Student Office, then to Control Panel->Term Enrollment. To find out the specific enrolling periods go to Chapter 1. You can take as many classes are you wish, however you MUST earn atleast 3 quills in order to advance to the next year.

This is where you claim your character for RPing purposes on ACTIVE accounts. When you go inactive for more then 30 days, you loose your rights to your character and it will be turned over to whoever wants it. Make sure that you are registered on the forum and are sorted into the correct member group.

There are so many different types of characters already running around on our boards and forums, and all of them try to be as original and different as possible, we ask that you use your creativity to the max and try and do the same.

There are hardly any rules on being a character here on the site, we do ask that you do not post things such as I am a Death Eater, or I am a Member of a Secret Order, these groups already exist on the site and if you are interested in finding out more about them contact Prof. Chauncey Clemenceau to learn more about them.

Each character is asked to have at least one ability by the end of their third year. You may not have any ability in your first or second year. This is not an x-men type site, therefore we ask that all abilities deal with some form of magic and not an x-man type power. Please place your abilities in the appropriate field in your office profile.

Be creative in your abilities. Remember that it would be boring if everyone was a death eater, or everyone was a good guy. It's best to choose abilities that are original. You can have a knack for a certain class and excel in it.

If you plan to go on holidays or currently busy with other issues, most professors will require you to inform them of your absence and for how long you expect to be away. Some may require you to complete all lessons before hand. In some cases you may not be able to complete the current year. If you plan to leave for good it would be a courtsey to inform the staff, so they can remove you from class lists and other areas.

You are not in any way aloud to post a "Good Bye" announcement. All "Good Bye" announcements posted by students will be deleted immediately. The proper way to inform people of your leave is to PM them. Through past experiences the Governors have learned that "Good Bye" announcements are generally members searching for attention or searching to cause problems.

Professors are not in any way allowed to post resignations. Any resignation MUST be PMed to each of the Governors. If a resignation is seen posted in the announcements than the resignation will be deleted. The only exception to this is if a governor or head of house resigns.

The Hogwarts Governors board also strongly advises against death as a way to leave because you may want to come back some day and once your character has died that character can never come back to life.
