That had been the best moment of his life. Sure, he was bruised and bloodied and could really use a shower but none of that mattered. He had experienced the single most beautiful moment in his life. He had watched the birth of his baby girl. She was so small. Amara was about 14 inches long and weighed no more than three pounds. He had followed Flora's instructions and kept Cass alert and talking. His heart broke a little at hoe easily she just told him to take care of Amara. Well, he wasn't going to be the only one taking care of their baby girl. not if he could help it. So Ace had kept Cass talking, stroking her hair and squeezing her hand and just going on and on about how technically she owed him ten gallons because before the explosion, he was winning the bet. That was enough for Cass to roll her eyes at him but it had done the trick.

Then he had cut the umbilical cord and held his breath as he waited for his baby girl to cry and cry she did. That sound was the single most beautiful sound he had ever heard and he felt a tear escape his eyes. Amara was the most beautiful baby and they were briefly introduced before they had to take her to the NICU to be treated. Ace had grabbed a hold of Cass' hand and kissed it, then kissed her lips. "You did great, my love," he had told her and waited patiently as she got all patched up and sent to the recovery room. So amidst all the chaos, all the commotion, Ace had forgotten about his own injuries. He was sitting next to Cassandra, seemingly fine. "She is so beautiful," he told her. "Cass, we are parents!" He could hardly believe it and had the most adorable smile on his face.

He had forgotten about his injuries, but his body had not. Now that he was coming out of the adrenaline rush that had kept him awake and alert and fine, his body began to fill everything, plus the strain he had endured while going about his business without regard for himself. At first he felt nauseous, and grimace as he tried to keep himself steady so not to get sick. Then it went away and he thought he was fine, probably just the excitement from it all. And then, that's when he really did get sick. Ace got away from Cass and turning his back from her couldn't help but throw up. He had all the intention of rushing to the bathroom but as soon as his body got sick, he felt his vision blurred. He had a head injury, broken ribs, and internal bleeding but it all went unnoticed for the most part and Ace barely turned to look at Cass before he collapsed on the floor.

Mason had absolutely no recollection of what had happened after he was hit with several large pieces of concrete slab. Truth be told he felt a peace he had never felt before and in this box there was nothing- a void- oblivion if you will. A black matter where nothing existed. It was just...easy and effortlessly painless in this state. He could hear sounds of course, but nothing that he would later recall as his brain wouldn't be able to register it. The whole time, he stayed in this state, only coming to by the time he was in the operating room, but had been for a split second and barely heard the healer's voice give instructions on his operation. He had no idea the gravity of the situation he was in and continued on his blissful sleep of nothingness. He hadn't known how much time had passed but was slowly becoming aware of the sounds around him, but his brain hadn't exactly registered what had happened. The major surgery that had taken place had a huge impact on his body so naturally the potions he'd taken forced him to sleep, allowing the healing process to take place. There came a time where he slowly opened his eyes - his vision absolutely blurred and groaned in pain. The potions were doing what they were meant to do, however, the pain was slowly seeping through his body as it was starting to get adjusted to what just happened. He was lucid for only a moment and felt nothing but fear in that brief second of consciousness. No one knew he was here as his parents thought he was with his cousins and vice versa. Mason had told them all a white lie- save for Franky- and now no one would know where he was or even worry about his whereabouts. The thought made him want to bawl if he were being honest and the panic had all set in cause he couldn't move any part of his body. Due to his brain overload and as a coping mechanism to calm him it shut off. Once again everything went black....

Cass slipped in and out of consciousness, but had stayed awake long enough (with Ace's help) for her to successfully give birth to their baby girl. After hearing her cry, she was able to pass out with a resounding loud and exhausted sigh. Ace's affections had been welcomed but she was just far too tired to have reacted to them when they were happening. Her body went limp and was transferred over to the recovery room once Flora had successfully patched her up and was then give another potion by an assistant healer which forced her awake again, feeling groggy and so out of it. She wanted to respond back to Ace and let him know that she, too, was happy that they were officially parents, though felt sadness that she hadn't been able to see her yet. Though reminded her it was all for the best and knew that he daughter was in the best of care. In all of this happiness though, Cass had no idea that her husband had suffered such a traumatic injuries. She had shuffled in her place slightly to make herself more comfortable when Ace turned around to the throw up and Cass yelled out with the little energy that she could muster, "Help!" and pointed towards Ace helplessly on the floor.

Roisin had been circling above the stadium on her animagus form, looking for ways she could help while also trying to maintain a safe distance out of the way. During it all, she had seen one of her closest friends, Cassandra, taken away to where she could only assume was St. Mungos. She had waited in the waiting room for awhile, soon to find out Cassandra was in recovery. Rosi was allowed entrance, so she headed in, past the other recovering patients, spotting Cass and about to break into a smile when she saw Ace fall to the floor. Gasping, Rosi hurried over. "What happened?" she asked quickly, skidding to a stop and dropping to Ace's side. Rosi had medical training in school as a junior healer, but that was so long ago. She could only do so much.

Treating Mason Conway

Lieke was paged to the recovery room. The healer was confident in his treatment, but apparently, something required the healer's attention. Maybe the nurses just wanted to talk about his treatment. Lieke definitely didn't have the time for another surgery. After all, all the operating rooms were currently occupied. Jin just had her baby, JC and Jared were trying to safe the minister's life together, and there were still so many patients that needed her attention. The nurses updated Lieke on the boy's state, notifying her the boy just had a brief moment of conciousness before he slipped away again. "Up his pain killers. He can't handle adrenaline in his state. Please let me know when he wakes up again. And check if his family is here yet." She instructed the nurses before returning to the emergency ward to help more patients.

With all the commotion that was going on it was hard to really get a hold of anyone, but Ace needed help immediately. There was very little that Cassandra could do in her state, not the mention how terribly weak and awful she felt after giving birth and enduring her C-section, but the little energy that she had left was used to try to help her husband. She looked around frantically, tears once again forming as she became desperate for someone to come to their aid. It was then that Roisin came in and she let out the biggest sigh of relief and the tears seemed to flow freely on their own. "I- I don't know. He just threw up and then fell! Rosi please help him. None of the healers are coming in." And it was then she started to go into a full blown panic attack. Her body was just on overload and forced herself to lay her head back on the bed, breathing labored and felt utterly woozy. "Help him...." And the last sliver of whatever energy Cass had left in her smothered right out.

TREATING ACE VANDALE

The hospital was on high alert and Flora had already delivered two babies. She'd been alerted that another pregnant woman was going into labor and brought in, but one of the maternity healers, Colleen, had that under control. Flora wanted to pop in on Cassandra and check that she was okay now and when she had entered the recovery room, she was just in time to see from the door as Cassandra seemed to pass out on the bed. Flora hurried over, only to stop short because she nearly skidded in a puddle of vomit. Looking down, she saw Roisin Doyle kneeling next to Ace. Flora's eyes widened because she had told Ace to seek treatment for his injuries and instead he had come here! "Out of the way," Flora snapped to Roisin, not unkindly but urgently. She leaned over and added, "Clean up that vomit will you?" She lifted her wand over Ace and said, "Videre internus," and a silver patronus-like image appeared, revealing the extent of Ace's damage. He had internal bleeding and broken bones. Clearly he had been working on an adrenaline rush instead of focusing on his own needs. Flora could also see that Ace had a head injury and his wounds were quite serious. She conjured a stretcher for him and got him on it using the mobilicorpus, then brought Ace up into the air and out for his treatment in an operating room. She called out to an emergency healer to help her with this case because his injuries were severe enough to need further assistance.

Jude was working a shift at the hospital as per usual when everything went absolutely haywire. Apparently there was an attack or some sort of catastrophe at the stadium where the match was taking place, leading to casualties and injuries galore. Jude was merely a maintenance wizard so he couldn't do any healing, but due to the influx of patients there happened to be a lot of things to, uh, maintain. Like, for example, cleaning up all of the blood and sanitizing the operating rooms between patients. He made quick work of it, and was making a round through the recovery room, dodging Healer Weasley and spotting a nasty pile of vomit that none other than Roisin Doyle was about to clean up. "I got it," he said to halt her. He removed his wand and used a spell to disappear the vomit, offered Roisin a smile, and glanced at the woman that was on the bed. She looked to be asleep (what did he know, he wasn't a healer) and he said, "Uh, alright, back to it," and he turned to head off to do more of that important maintenance stuff.

Roisin was not an actual healer and Ace's injuries seemed to be far more serious than her scope of expertise. She looked up at Cass, feeling useless, and said, "I'll get him help, don't worry!" She was just about to stand and call for proper help when a healer swooped in. Talk about perfect timing! Roisin scuttled aside as instructed, then her face screwed up in concern and then glanced at the vomit she was apparently supposed to clean up. Everything happened quickly and instead of tending to the vomit, she was watching the healer reveal Ace's injuries. Oh... they were serious. Like, really serious. Roisin swallowed hard and just as Healer Weasley left, was about to clean the vomit but that was when a young wizard came in wearing maintenance robes. He took to cleaning the vomit for her, which was kind of a relief? "Thanks," she said, and as the guy disappeared again, Roisin looked over at her friend. Cass had fainted on the bed and Rosi felt concerned, walking over to her and picking up her hand. That was when she noticed that she seemed to have had the baby. At least, she thought so. The bump was significantly smaller.

Since we have no ICU topics around the hospital, let's pretend Jin's been brought and settled in one of the rooms at the ICU. Flora managed to save her baby and she's currently situated at the NICU, seeing she's only seven months old. The early delivery was inevitable, with Jin's water breaking when she landed pretty hard during the explosion. It was the single-most frightening moment of her life. At some point, she was quite glad that Conrad was not there with her at the VIP room, otherwise he might have been injured, too, and she doesn't know if she could survive it if something happens to him. She couldn't afford to worry both for her baby and fiance, it would shred her to pieces. Although before she lost consciousness amidst the rubble, fire and smoke, she was pretty much scared for her baby. Jin's more than willing to offer her life just so her baby can survive. She had no idea when she was brought to the hospital, when her very best friend operated on her, when she was fixed up. Jin's currently in a coma, and even the other healers have no idea when she's going to wake up. The baby was delivered safely, she was patched up but Jin's not showing any response or signs of consciousness.

Ace had been focused on his wife and baby. He had gotten himself out from the ground, looked for his wife and carried her out of that horrid site before things got worse. He had felt incredibly guilty not being able to protect them both but there was not much time to focus on that. He just had to do what he needed to do and be strong for his family. Be strong for his girls because at that moment, they had both been in danger and they had both looked at him to be there. So when he had followed Cass to St. Mungo's and watched helplessly as the healers worked around her, he couldn't help but be utterly scared. He had even been scared that he would have to choose between his wife and his baby, but Flora had managed to save them both and for that he was eternally grateful.

The birth had been such a dramatic and intense moment but then his baby girl cried as newborns did and Ace smiled and got all emotional and kissed the top of Cassandra's head. They hadn't been able to hold their little girl yet and she was still in the NICU. Ace had planned to go see her once he made sure Cassandra was okay. He had followed her to the recovery room, despite Flora's instructions to get himself checked out. Truth be told it had come in one ear and out the other. He would get to that, later. Then as time passed, he forgot. Which lead to him throwing up and losing consciousness. Yeah... He might have overdone it. Now he was waking up with an intense migraine and a bandage around his head.

Ace's eyes took their sweet time adjusting to the light and he felt as though he was hungover. He hadn't been hungover in a very long time and he didn't remember that feeling quite as bad as this. As he accustomed to his surroundings, Ace looked around for his wife or any familiar face. "What happened?" He said groggily, covering himself from the light.

Treating ORANGE #9: Nicolas Alcaldo

Aura had just returned back from her gruelling previous surgery. The brain damage had been almost out of hand, and had been pretty acute. If they had waited for some time more, they might have lost the Bats chaser. Even right now though, the man was not stabilized and had to been overseen for the night. Aura made a mental note to check up on him later but right now she had other patients to tend to. The frenzy seemed to have gotten worse in the meanwhile, and seeing no other critical cases at the moment, she decided to check on the other ones. Coming up to a guy who seemed to be unconscious, Aura looked over at his clipboard. Nicholas Alcaldo. His bone seemed to have been patched up with a good job, she would just check on it later. Right now she needed to get some blood into this person.

"Blood transfusion. Asap." Taking her wand she quickly hooked the blood transfusion set up to the man as the nurse quickly placed a bag of blood. Going to the cabinets she pulled out a blood replenishing potion and administered the same to the man. Post that, she did the hologram spell on him quickly to check for other internal wounds, and while there were some bruises and burns; nothing more serious had occurred. Even the brain seemed to look fine. "Burn paste, bruise-healing paste.." She directly at the required areas, even helping with some of the spots to make quick work of the same. "Let me know if he wakes up, okay? Will need to check for concussion, while there isn't any apparent damage - but you never know." With that she walked to tend to other patients.

[Moving Nic officially here so he can get any other treatment and such and be out of the way of the madness of triage.]

The first coherent thought Nic has is: Why the hell is it so bright? He doesn’t remember it being that bright at the stadium. As he fights back the grogginess of unconsciousness, his brain tries to piece everything back together. Stadium. Yeah, he was at that Quidditch stadium for a game. Ah, and he sneaked into the VIP stand and had some delicious food and idly he wonders if that food was still in his pocket. Wait, why doesn’t he feel his jeans anymore? That’s a bit odd, isn’t it? No jeans, bright light? ….Did he die? Nic is going to be super pissed if he died. Shit, Mags would be kill him if he went and died on her. But if he had died, why does he hurt? His whole body aches as if he’d just been beaten to hell….or been in an explosion. His eyes fly open as he starts panicking on his bed for a moment, confused, arms batting at the wires and tubes attached to him which makes their monitors go wild. The obnoxious beeping snaps him out of his blind panic as he finally realizes where he is. A hospital? St. Mungo’s. It takes him a moment to recall the moments right after the attack. My arm, his brain comes up with, and Nic looks down at his arm, but where a bone once protruded was now covered by a bandage. The arm was stiff but clearly not broken anymore. Unfortunately, the reminder of that healing brings back a fuzzy though disturbing clear memory of the person he can think for his medical attention. An onslaught of swears of a mix of Spanish and English releases from his lips. Of all the people to owe a favor to, he owed one to Mags’ father. So, no, Nic’s not in heaven. He’s in Hell. He sighs and lowers himself back down to his pillows. New plan. Find clothing and get the hell out of here before Stan decides to “visit.” Can’t exactly leave in this hospital gown, can he? He sits up in his bed to look around the room for any of sign of clothes and pauses. At first, Nic doesn’t recognize the small form in bed next to a woman, presumably a healer, keeping watch. His brain fights against the knowledge that someone looking so weak and hopeless could possibly be the person who he thinks it is. Yet, even as his brain fights it, his body is already on the move. Nic tries to climb out of the bed and when he’s yanked back by the tubes and cords locking him in place, he rips them off, ignoring the wailing sound they let out once more. His body almost collapses as he tries to stand up from the bed. He fights back against the pain and exhaustion and pushes himself forward until he’s across the room and by her bed. Because the woman looking so helpless and beaten up in the bed is Lae. They’ve been broken up for a long time, but that didn’t mean he wanted any harm to come from her. Hell, their breakup was a shit show for the ages, but they spoke now. They had to, even though her keeping the knowledge he’d be a father from him for months meant there was a part of him that hated her now. The thought flips a switch in him and with almost a manic expression whirls on the healer (Colleen) sitting besides Lae’s bed. She’s okay, right? The baby is fine? IS MY SON FINE? Nic reaches out while he's shouting but has to force his hands down to clench out his sides though all he wants to do is reach out and shake the woman until she tells him everything he needs to know.

The saying rung true that bad news traveled fast, and by the time Conrad had received the news, he had apparated to the stadium, leaving the fellow Ministry official with a resounding pop as his reply. He knew that Jin had been in the VIP booth. Hell, he was supposed to come but had gotten caught up with his own work and was honestly going to meet her after the game. The stadium was unrecognizable and the sounds of screaming and people crying out in desperation was too much for him to handle. He grabbed fistfuls of his hair as he looked around the complete chaos and didn't know where to begin searching, even if he knew exactly where Jin had been at the moment of the explosion. Had Conrad stayed two seconds longer to hear the official, he would have known she was taken to the hospital, but on his own he naturally went there next. His heart accelerated as he approached the Welcome Witch's station and unintentionally pushed others out of the way and before he could demand to know answers, she was quick to point him out to Flora. She quickly explained to him the critical and fragile condition that Jin was in and his next question was to ask for the baby, which she explained was recovering nicely in the NICU. He felt a huge sense of relief for that tidbit of news, but he circled back to Jin imploringly. Flora repeated that she was not responding, but alive. Tears welled up in his eyes, but sniffled them back as he straightened up to meet his daughter. Since Jin was seven months, they hadn't decided on a name yet. They had thrown some here and there, but nothing had stuck and since, in their mind, they had two months to decide they left it as tentative. He slicked back his hair as he walked, grabbing his suit's jacket and roughly pulled it down, while smoothing it out, and nodded to Flora as she allowed him to meet his daughter through the glass partition. She was such a tiny little thing and felt both a large sense of happiness and sadness. What should been a joyous moment was tarnished by not having been there for her birth or supporting Jin during the whole ordeal. The silver lining in all of this was that she was fighting for her life. For such a small person, he could tell she had a lot of character as she moved in her incubator. He longed to hold her, but in her condition she needed time to adjust and placed his hand over the glass as he gazed at her fondly. Wow he was a father. With a saddened smile and tears flowing down his cheeks he said, "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes. You're beautiful. I'm your dad. I promise everything is going to be okay. You're going to be okay and you'll get to meet your mom very soon. You'll love her. She's like an angel, really. I'm going to go see her now, but I'll be back, okay? I love you." It was hard for him to pull away, but he needed to go see how Jin was doing and feared for the worse as he approached the intensive care recovery unit. He wiped his tears, taking deep breaths as he approached the room she had been assigned and asked Merlin for strength. He entered softly and simply stood as he watched her. She looked as if she were sleeping peacefully, save for everything that was around her to keep her alive and finally took his seat next to her bed. "Hey beautiful." He spoke in a coo as he reached to grab her hand and brought it to his lips. "Oh Jin I am so sorry. I should have been there...I'm so sorry." He wanted to be strong but it was no use because the silent tears began all over again. "I met her. Mon Dieu she is beautiful. So beautiful and strong. You should see her, love, had a lot of spirit. I could tell she is struggling, but she is going to be okay. I will make sure of it. And so will you, you hear me? I know you. You're too stubborn to let anything happen...you're going to wake up. I know you are."

After Colleen had finished with Lae's emergency surgery, she had taken the opportunity to help with other patients that were coming in the triage and also assisting family members with information that were flocking in by the dozens. Despite how crazy the hospital looked, it was nothing compared to the catastrophe of the stadium and preferred staying at the hospital if she were being honest. Every now and then she came back to the recovery room, checking on the patients she had assisted and also those that needed another dosage of pain meds or anything else in between that was needed. She stopped to see how Lae was doing, assessing her vitals, and despite being unconscious all the monitors pointed to her being stable. Just as she was about to leave and pull the privacy curtain back, a man approaches her in the most manic way and her baby blue eyes narrows as she recognizes who he was. "I'm going to need you to calm down. This is a recovery room and if you don't park yourself back to your bed in two seconds I'll sedate you." Colleen was normally patient and her bedside manners were more impeccable than this, but this guy had been difficult from the start. She wasn't going to have him raise hell where people were trying to recover from their traumatic injuries and points her wand at him, and with her head gestures for him to go back to his bed. He seemed smart enough to listen to her and not get a red head with a wand pointed at him angry and once they were standing in his area, snapped the privacy curtain shut. "I personally did her surgery. I had to do an emergency c-section on your son because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. He is in stable condition and in the NICU recovering. For now we cannot bring him out but you're more than welcomed to see him through the glass partition." She sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder, smiling this time, "It's okay. He's okay and she's going to be okay. They're in the best care."

[Assuming he's in this state for few days now]

Alaric was lying inert in the white bed, sterile sheets covering his delicately breathing form, making his already pale skin seemed ghost-like. He has been like this for days. Every day that he remained unconscious increased the worry of his loved ones who are all waiting for him to wake up.

Is this how it feels like to die? Alaric mused to himself as his eyes swept around the place. If he’s dead, why is he in here? It was a room…a room that doesn’t exist, it’s only real within the confines of Alaric’s mind. Where am i? As he walked inside, the first thing he noticed was the books which were organized neatly in several shelves. Library? The guy frowned when he finally realized which library he was in. He was in their grandparent’s house. Several voices brought him out of his musing and then a young boy passed by him as if he’s not there. Alaric blinked as he followed the boy with his eyes. He didn’t notice an old man who was sitting on the couch, his granddad and his mum was there too. The young boy was asked to sit on the couch. Alaric followed their movement as he took his seat beside the boy. He was looking at the 2 adults who were all scrutinizing him (the boy). It was his mom who broke the silence and told him he’s transferring to Durmstrang. He mirrored the boy’s reaction who narrowed his eyes and asked the adults why. It was his granddad who explained everything to him, but his young mind refused the information.

Alaric: Why?
Granddad: It was a Kragen tradition that all males in our family will attend Durmstrang. It’s your turn now Alaric.
Alaric: *shakes head vigorously* No…no... I don’t like that school; I like my current school.
Adreia: *looks worriedly* Alaric…Remember even Uncle Viktor attended that school? It’s just the same thing baby… *rans her hand on Alaric’s hair to calm him down*
Alaric: No..no…mom…don’t make me go there, I like it here, with you, with Desiree, with Dalton, with Lavi. *eyes narrow* And what about Lavi? Will she transfer too?
Granddad: No Alaric, Lavinia will stay at Hogwarts while you transfer to Durmstrang
Alaric: No! I don’t want to! I will not leave Lavi. I want to stay here with her! *close to crying now*
Granddad: *shakes head* We are not asking for your consent boy; we are telling you the plan. You don’t have a say in this. *narrows eyes*
Alaric: NO! NO! NO!!! *throws a book at his granddad*
Granddad: *stands up and slaps Alaric hard* Ribelle! You will go to Durmstrang and that’s it. *and lefts the room*
Adreia: Dad! *and tries to hug Alaric*
Alaric: Don’t touch me! *crying while touching the cheek that was hit* You don’t love me! You let this happen mum, I hate you! I hate you! I hate all of you!!! *runs out of the room*

Alaric balled his hand into fist as he watched the scene and suddenly, the scene shifted and he was standing inside another house and Adreia Kragen was kneeling in front of him, begging him to return. He used to be very close to his mom, he and Lavi loved her so much because she’s the only constant person in their lives since their dad was always missing in action while growing up. The relationship between him and his mother became a difficult one after he moved to Sweden, it caused tension and arguments between him and his family. Alaric was very angry and upset, and he didn’t how to act on those feelings, and he’s unknowingly hurting his family, most especially his mom. He felt rejected by her which made him feel rejected by all the people who are important to him. Another change of scene and he saw himself standing behind Lavinia, his twin sister. It was the first time they’ve seen each other after a long time. This is how it feels like to watch your life flashes before you, quite literally. Not forgiving someone is like holding on to hot ashes that were thrown at him. It just keeps hurting him more, killing him inside. Forgiving that person is letting go of those small hot pieces. When he faced Lavi, the moment was real, he meant it, it made him feel liberated. Lavi completes him. She’s his other half. He understood those phrases are typically reserved for couples, but Lavi and him honestly deserve it too, they were literally halves; split from the same egg. He felt more whole when they’re together, but they’re still two different people. It’s a mind-bending riddle. Her forgiveness healed him emotionally and mentally. Lavi….

He took a shuddering breath, desperately taking in as much air as possible. He coughed, and everything hurt. Something hard was shoved in his mouth and he can feel the mild air circulating around his head. It's making him breath properly. He? Awareness and existence slowly began to register with a new breath, then another, and another. He was breathing. He was alive. He’s confused. Where am i? But those feelings were kept in the background, obviously less important than being alive.

...And then Alaric opened his eyes. Brightness rushed in so unexpectedly that he shut them again very tightly. That blinding white was terrible. He tried moving something…his hand, but as he moved, there was a slight pain on his shoulder. His fingers twitched and then hold onto fabric lightly. He tilted his head to the side, there was a searing pain, so incredible that he bit his lower lip. Alaric moaned. The thin, soft fabric draped over him rustled with the motion as he accidentally moved his leg, he felt pain in there too. What happened to me? Why is everything so painful?

[Damn I need to do a post in two different timelines now xD ]

- On the day of the explosion -

Aura walked briskly towards the recovery room. She had followed Jason's bed, and figured that since she had already sent two patients in some time back, she should check up on them. Particularly the first one, because his was a very critical case. And in case the second one was awake, she could possibly do the rest of the tests. The room seemed like a breath of fresh air as she walked inside, with most of the stable patients there. It was nothing as compared to the absolute hell she had left behind in the triage room. So many injured people, so many people in pain. And she wasn't even counting the number of dead bodies that had been wheeled in. They needed to be identified, tagged, their families notified and the bodies then sent in for autopsy. It would be a busy night for the attendants in the morgue as well.

Her eyes bounced from one patient to another as she walked towards the ones that were marked for her. Her first stop was by Alaric's bed, and with a quick measure of his vitals she could see that his breathing was still not holding up. And his brain activity seemed unstable as well, as she saw some remnants of fluid seeping out again. A possibly drain will have to be placed by tomorrow morning if the remnant fluids build up. "Let me know if the fluid level reaches even 50% of the threshold. Okay." She added to the attendant there, before taking a count of the pressure. "Also, knotgrass and blood replenishing. Here.." She tapped on the IV. It would help in the quick restoration, maybe they could stop with the blood replenishing starting tomorrow. He did not show any signs of waking up though, and Aura's eyes lingered for a fraction of second longer on him before she nodded to the attendant and moved on towards the section where the other patient was, Nicholas.

Just as she neared though, she heard a loud commotion as it seemed that a man was shouting at someone, and she hurried over only to find her patient shouting at another healer, and well..the healer did handle him pretty well. Walking into the conversation, she nodded at Colleen before turning to Nicholas. "Everything alright here? I would suggest you get back to bed, we need to do some more tests on you to check for stability." And with the way he was shouting, she wasn't sure he was stable or so. She had no idea about the possible kid of this patient, and the whole history behind him and the patient next to him, but if she had she would have possibly let him go. But..she didn't so.

- 2 days after the explosion -

It was early in the morning, and it had been two days since the explosion hit during the quidditch match. The hospital was still overloaded as the wounded were still there for observation, but thankfully most of the patients were well on their way to recovery, full or partial needed to be checked still. Aura had made it a habit to check on her most critical ones every 5 hours to get their stats and discharge them if required. A flew of family members now crowded the recovery room as most of the patients started falling under the visitable category, and there was a buzz and some laughs that could be hear in the room where 2 days back there was complete silence and a sense of foreboding. It warmed her heart.

There was still one patient of hers who had not woken up yet. And he was starting to worry her now. An indefinite coma is tough to handle, and such patients have to be shifted in the long term ward for spell damage. She wished it didn't come to that. He had such a promising career ahead of him. "Good morning...good morning.." She smiled brightly at the other staff, as she finally reached Alaric's bedside. There wasn't an attendant there at the moment, since they were busy with the other awake patients, and Aura was quick to check on his breathing and other vital stats. The brain function was still a little unstable, but had improved a lot over the two days. Breathing seemed to be back to normal as well, but she had decided to keep him on life support until he woke up, because you never know. A few people had come to visit him over the time, but after some while she had to ask them to leave, even though his twin had certainly created a ruckus because she wouldn't leave his side. But Alaric was still not in the visitable zone, and she had to ensure the rules were being followed. Just after administering another round of knotgrass to his IV, she was about to walk away from the recovery room, when she thought she heard a very faint sound. Stopping dead in her tracks, she looked back at him, only to see his fingers twitching and his leg moving.

In a split second, she was beside him, after signalling a nurse to join her as well. "Blood pressure please...constant monitoring. Give a calming drought if that happens. He is coming out of a two day coma, there can be an unusual spike and we don't need that to impact the brain.." She moved a bit closer to his face which was covered with the , trying to hear his breathing pattern. Uneven. He was definitely regaining consciousness. "Mr. Byrne...Alaric.." She spoke softly. "Can you hear me? Try moving your fingers again, if you can. You wouldn't be able to speak because of the ventilator, but that's okay. There is nothing to worry about." She leaned back, looking for any sign of cognizance. That would be first test of brain damage, if he could comprehend her words that would definitely be a positive. Her eye flickered to the nurse briefly to get a count from her, and it seemed to be fine for now.

Hearing the Healer's words made it all the more real and had helped the tears to fall down faster. Now all made sense, the dizziness, the nausea, the mood swings. It all had started after the big fight with Josef, after learning what he had done, so she had attributed everything to the sleepless nights and how awful a heartbreak could be. Maja had taken her potion every time she was with Josef, but now couldn't remember if she had skipped a dosage, or maybe this baby was the product of that less than one percent that the potion didn't cover. The potion she had been given now for the nausea had already helped tremendously so she could focus on the news, looking down when she heard Josef's question, and then fell silent. The tears kept on falling as she was expecting the worse from him, her head making up so many stories based on the bad moments they had shared, her hormones and what had just happened at the stadium playing a huge part in the negative thinking.

She felt him taking her hands and finally dared looking up and into his eyes, bracing herself for what he had to say about it. He held her close and she was just so confused, especially when he spoke up. Maja blinked, and placed both hands on his face as she broke into an emotional smile, taking deep breaths to calm herself down as she pushed all those thoughts away and focused on Josef's real reaction, so moved and so touched by it she wouldn't be able to speak. All of her insecurities and the heartache had left her, and though it wouldn't be an easy road, this baby changed everything, and so did his words and the look in his eyes as well. Maja closed her eyes and chuckled nervously all the same. She had gone through the most difficult stages of life without her mom, and had helped raised a bunch of children when she had been a child herself, but none of it made her feel like she was prepared to be a real mother. She had never pondered on that possibility since it felt she had been through motherhood already, so to say this was unexpected and scary as hell, was an understatement. However, the news had filled her with joy, and she couldn't believe there was a baby growing up inside of her, a baby that was only hers and Josef's, a baby that would share their features. Maja hugged him back, now shedding happy tears as she tried to keep her oxygen mask against his chest. They were surrounded by chaos and hysteria, given the most incredible news, and she felt sort of guilty for feeling happy when others were rushed into operating rooms, and even worse, when Zora was nowhere to be seen. She looked at him and smiled, laughed as she kept on crying as he said those three words, those five words for the very first time. Good thing she was given oxygen as she was too overwhelmed and emotional, she might have fainted, especially with what he said next. Never in a million years would she had expected to hear all of that, for the smallest of miracles, a barely visible baby bump to be the missing piece that would put everything together. Maja was speechless, and then got a coughing attack, practically choking on emotions. She managed to push the mask down, placing one hand on her chest and nodded franctically, laughing, coughing and tearing up, her face red. "I love you so, so much." She cupped his face with one hand and took the other, guiding it over her belly. "Yes, I'll always be yours. We... Us." She corrected herself, still too shocked by the news. Now that they were away from the craziness of the triage, she could start feeling much better. This was the calm after the storm, the light after so much darkness.

Josef knew that after his awful confession that things with Maja must have been hard, and that made him feel incredibly guilty. It had been awful for him too, but that was something he had brought on himself. Sleepless nights, staying at work late, and loss of appetite. He had found no motivation to do much, but work and go home. It was hard to imagine his life before Maja came into the picture and honestly he had realized his life was so void and boring before she came along. He had been so used to getting to have her in his apartment and being welcome to the aroma of amazing home made cooking and watching her dancing along to upbeat music as a welcome. The best was being able to laugh together and at the end of the night always find themselves entangled with one another until they fell asleep. He adored it and the days after he returned to an empty apartment - dark and dreary- much like his mood and would simply sigh and head to bed. He realized how awful he had been to the one woman who actually gave a damn about him, who worried about his well being, dealt with his confusion, and loved him regardless of all his flaws. Josef would now do everything in his power to make her happy. Hell, he was ready to roll out the red carpet and put her on the pedestal that she deserved.

Unlike Maja he had absolutely no experience with children. Hell he was an uncle, but barely really spend time to form a bond besides sending gifts here and there. He didn't like kids, more so because his life had no room for them and he had little patience to begin with. Ryan had caused him to warm up to them slightly, even pulling a chuckle out of him every time he saw the boy and witnessed his antics. He felt his heart flutter when she cupped his face in her hands and as always leaned into her touched and closed his eyes. Josef was thinking how absolutely lucky he was, despite all the sorrow that surrounded them and the anguish that caused everyone to be on high alert. Here he was at a calm because of her touch. She had always brought this sense of ease into his life and he was so stupid to have almost ruined that and lost her permanently by his own selfishness. He opened his eyes again to stare at her beautiful warm orbs and sighed like a fool in love. He wished that he could kiss her, but knew that could wait because her health was obviously more important. Still...damn if he didn't want to show her how fiercely happy he felt at the moment. Deep down he felt a little bad to be engulfed in their own little bubble due to the heaviness that weighed in the air, but he was having a baby! This was something that he could not contain. Besides, new life was always a beacon of hope and new beginnings. It signified second chances and the attack had given him a whole new perspective on life - to live in the now and not let opportunities slip away because honestly life was so fragile and fleeting. Her coughing fit had worried him and his eyes widened as his good hand rubbed over her back, but then chuckled as he saw she was fine and just so overwhelmed by the news and his words. His heart melted and if this were a cartoon his eyes would have been the shape of hearts as she confessed that she loved him. His eyes followed the hand that was on her belly and gazed at it with so much love and warmth, "And then there were three." Everything around them dulled and couldn't be bothered to pay attention to all the commotion around them because he lowered himself to kiss her belly and then moved back to her eye level and kissed her. It was sweet at first, but gradually grew packed with emotion and had reminded himself she needed air. The thought made him pull away with a chuckle. "You have made me the happiest man alive, Maja. This may sound corny or too mushy but I didn't know this type of feeling existed. I keep asking myself how did I ever live my life without you? I will protect and take care of you and our little one and do everything in my power to provide you the life you both deserve. Merlin I adore you...love you both. I- I wow Maja can you believe it? This is the second chance I have been praying for you know? I just didn't know it was going to come in the form of something created out of our love. I guess we weren't too careful." He teased and kissed her once more before helping her put her mask on again and smirked to say, "And for that I am glad."

Fallon's eyes slowly started to flutter open after about an hour or two after Healer del Valle and Healer Wayland finished surgery. The anaesthetic was slowly starting to wear off, and with her waking up, the first thing she realised was the amount of pain she was in. As her vision slowly became more clear, she started to realise more and more what happened and where she was. There was no doubt about it, the woman found herself in a hospital room. It was empty, apart from her bed. It'd be of no surprise to her if there'd be ministry officials outside of her door. Anything better than having them in there with her. But the pain... the pain was starting to become more and more unbearable, but what freaked her out even more, was the fact that she was in a hospital in the first place... in a body brace.  "N-nurse..." Fallon whimpered out as she tried to scream for help, but after the surgery, she was still unable to more volume. The memory of that afternoon slowly started to get back to her. Fallon was at the charity game for St. Mungo's, but she had no recollection of what happened that caused her to end up in the hospital. "N-nurse!"
