Professor Applications for Spring Term 2019
All applications are due by March 31st.

Reminders:

  • To apply to teach a class, you must have been an active member of Hogwarts Online for at least 3 months, preferably 6. This is to ensure our professors have an understanding of how HO and its classes work.
  • If you are making a new character, you must be within the character limit rules. Otherwise, you may need to transfer an existing character to the UK or to Hogwarts to take on the position if you're hired. If you're unsure about the character limit rules, PM the Director of Roleplay, Prof. Britney Bryne-Kartak, for assistance.
  • All house administrators must teach at least 1 class.
  • All department chairs must teach at least 1 class in their department.
  • Writers may only have 1 professor in each school, meaning you may only have a maximum of 2 professors - one at Hogwarts and one at Durmstrang.
  • We ask that all writers limit themselves to teaching 2 classes per school.

If you have any questions, please contact the following members:

  • For questions about applying or teaching a class, direct them to Prof. Sorcha Logan or Shawn Rose in a PM.
  • For questions about a specific class or department, direct your questions to the Department Chair.

  • Please put "Professor Application for Spring Term 2019" as the subject of your PM.
  • Enter Department Chair's name into the recipient field.
  • Enter the name of the governor who will be receiving your application in the "Other Recipients" field. The governor who will be handling applications from any specific department is included on the list of available classes above. If there is no DC for the department, the application goes to the supervising governor.
  • Before sending in your application, contact the department head if you have questions about class curriculum, or for help designing a special class!
  • A class called [Subject] Elective is just a working title and means that you need to provide a name for the class! For ideas on what to teach, consult the Master List of past classes here.
  • Include lesson plans, quill requirements, and any other pertinent information when applying. The more detailed, the better
