Alice smiled her usual soft smile as he apologized for her hectic life. "I'm used to it. After all. I wanted to be an auror. It's usually not this hectic. Just a lot of things have happened at once." She knew how that tended to ebb and flow. She hoped when she got back it would be more training and meetings and less trials. Alice nodded in thanks as he offered to pay for her drink. Not something she was used to, but she didn't mind. She ordered her normal fruity drink. It was what she ordered whenever she got a drink. She only wanted the one. "I wonder if playing one is any less hectic than being one... Probably less dangerous." Alice winced to herself as she remembered what Morgan and others ha done to her. Alice glanced at the picture and nodded, she had one of herself quite similar to it.

PLOT RELATED RP

jOlyTyK.gif

Many spectators have come from all over the country. Varying from all ages, social status and means, the people embrace the annual tradition.

Flying from this point all around the city. The contestants need to abide by certain rules:

No apparation.

No portkeys.

No unsportsmanlike conduct.

One rider per broom.

Once you fall off the broom, you're out.

With that the members of The Black Linnaea Association are present. Coordinating every aspect of this event, under a different name, they prepare for an afternoon full of good surprises. All around the people expect this with excitement. Even the school has given permission for the students to participate and be present. The time is one o' clock in the afternoon. The race should commence within a few moments.

It was official and Jac was ready for some competition! The aspiring artist who wanted to go into modeling was actually wanting to have some competition so why not join in the broom race? Sure, it was probably a way for all the men at Durmstrang and around Sweden to come and show off for the ladies but for Jacki, he was determined to come out on top! He wanted that grand prize and he was going to make sure that he kept his mind on the race.

Arriving as the first contestant, Jacki came to the starting line and noticed that no one else had came. Smirking, he said to himself "Looks like everyone decided to pass on the race. Oh well, at least I'm determined to get that prize!" Jacki stood at the line with his Firebolt broom in hand. He had it tested so that the broom would run perfectly and not have any issues or curses upon it. Native in Sweden, people were always finding ways to effect one's performance when it came to broom racing and Quidditch championships but this baby? Oh no, no was was going to touch it. He even had a charm placed on it so that it wouldn't be effected with his flying.

Victoria was already present in the area, just somewhere else as she was preparing for the race. There had been a change in the route, and being the professor head, she had certain responsibilities of her own which weren't under the leaders. Such as those of the students. Walking outside, she observed the course that they were to take, her own broom on the side ready to be taken upon in case of emergencies. Hopefully, Sacha would join them because they needed a healer at hand and she wasn't sure if Jared would be free enough to come. A boy of her own house was already present there, and Tori walked towards him. "Mr. Gregorovitch. Ready for the race?" She smiled at the boy.

Having the blood of a sportsman running into her, and belonging to a quidditch loving family, there was no way in hell that Alex was going to pass up on the opportunity to take part in the Annual Broom Race. She had heard even Anus would be participating, and she was reminded of the mini quidditch matches they used to have at home. This will again be one of those, because she was so sure of Levskis winning this, she thought her main competition was Anastas only. Sure, she was all for singing and wanted a career in that. Nowhere written she couldn't enjoy sports as well. The time playing soccer with Christian and Ian was brought to her mind, and she missed her friends being around. One more than the other, but she wasn't going to show that was she.

Holding her broom in her hand, she was decked up in the proper clothes, a pair of shorts and a T-shirt along with shoes. Walking upto where the race was to be organized, she was just behind the guy she later recognized to be Jacques Gregorovitch. His statement got her smirking slightly. "Not so fast, Jac. I am right behind you." She walked forward, as Prof. Monteiro came forward, not looking at Jac but still smirking. She had met him in the library, and well, it had certainly been an interesting meet. "Prof. Monteiro." She greeted the woman with a bow of her head.

Natalia had been so busy that she couldn't believe that it was already time for the broom races. She and the other Black Linnaea members had been planning this event for months and Nat was glad that it was finally here so that it could finally be over. She arrived promptly, dressed in her best black robes. She looked around and spotted Ana, she walked over to her and nodded her head in greeting.

"Lovely day for a broom race Ana. Couldn't have asked for better weather in my opinion."

She said with a smile, standing next to Ana and watching people arrive. Nat had been surprised to learn that Durmstrang was allowing their students to come to the race as well. She hoped she would see some of her family from the school.

Somewhere in the crowd she was checking last minute details. Everything looked just right. Taking a deep breath she felt satisfied with the preparations. Then at a given time someone reached her to make her company. "Natalia! Thank Loki you're here." Certainly some people might raise an eyebrow at her reference to the demigod, but certainly, the woman embraced her alumni in little details. "Yes, everything looks fine." Still the nerves of having this tremendous effort in competition were present. Ana fidgeted a little. Playing with some ring finger. Rubbing the back of it with her thumb over and over as her intense gaze was on the setting.

A few participants arrived making the people cheer in excitement. Smiling a bit this was all it was about. A friendly competition to bring together the country.

And also one of the oldest traditions handled by the underworld group Ivanova and her were part of.

This day was one that most people were fond of.

Emphasis on the most.

Because it called for getting up early, prepping up and just cheering as someone else gets the glory. William could not understand what was the big deal of this event. However he still had to attend as some business was in the middle of this. He scanned the crowds finding a couple of people worthy of his intentions. Asides that he did have to keep a low profile. That incident involving Donn just died down somewhat. No need to bring attention so quickly to himself. Coffee in hand with the collar of his coat up, the little man watched closely waiting for the real show to take place.

With minutes away, all the right people got in position to start the event. Ana and Natalia stood close to the master of ceremonies, as they needed was the official greeting beforehand. A plump man of older age, got up on a set up podium to proceed. Dressed all in green for to him it was the color of luck, he got everyone's attention with the help of a sonorus.

MV5BMTkzMTc0MzQ2OV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMzI5

"Welcome one and all, to Sweden's Annual Broom Race!" There were polite applause here and there, some people waved their tiny Sweden flags around. Small souvenirs that were handed out to everyone present. "We have today some of the best flyers out there. A whole new route that will surely test their skills and bring us great fun. Now then! Let us wait no longer and make a good day out of this. Let the race...BEGIN!" Flickering his wand towards the sky a loud pop was heard, as some streamers also came out of it. That was it. Everything was coming together.

The competitors rushed from the START line in a hurry to get to the end. The route was designed to go around certain streets, pass stalls shops, some city homes and rush through even some of the city's monuments. A quick tour of Stockholm on a broom. They were allowed to hover each other if need be, but try to keep it to a minimum. The people were scattered all over the place to see at some point on the race. However certain areas could not be reach except for the participants. Shouldn't be a problem though. The isolated areas were small and wouldn't present a problem.

Ana clutched her hands together in nerves. Seeing them go off brought a smile. At last this was off her To Do list. After this who knows what else could be done. "Good luck everyone!" <3

Connor was one those types of people that didn't like riding bikes. He was the type of person to actually walk around or use apparition. So when it came time for him to go into Drottninggaten, it came to his attention that most people recommend him riding a bike. First off all, Connor always forbid his children and husband to use Muggle devices. He hated using Muggle devices because it always failed him. No matter the situation. The second thing was that a bike look kind of scary. Yes, a 41 year old man was scared of a muggle bike but he didn't know if the thing was going to hurt him in some sort of weird way if he rode it the wrong way. Well, no matter, it was time to go into the town. He glared the bike down for a few minutes until he finally got the courage to do it. He was going to be riding a bike for the first time! He grasped onto the handles and just stood there, not moving. Well, at least he got a hold of the bike!

It had been quite some time since Bonnie had done something on her own that wasn't work related. She had been practicing spells with her coworkers and had been quite good at it. She was rather surprised that her klutziness wasn't coming into play. At least as long as she had the adrenaline, her balance seemed to remain. Of course she was just as much a klutz outside of adrenaline fueled scenarios as she had always been. She couldn't get away from it, just like she couldn't get away from all the other parts of her personalities. It was her day off, and she decided to go explore. She had been exploring since she was a first year with Soren. But she could take care of herself, so she was perfectly fine with going out and off on her own. With her wand in hand. Bonnie began to wander around the city. Walking and trying not to fall, she stopped short as she spotted an ex-professor, whom she had never gotten along with, and was he... riding a bike? Shaking her head, Bonnie stood still. While she might have turned and went down a different street when she was a student, she was a member of [Censored by the Groundskeeper] and she had dealt with much scarier things than a professor. "Er. Alright Professor Lexington?"

Holding onto a bike for dear life was not something that Connor imagine himself doing at the age of 43 but yet here he was, holding onto the bike as if he was going to fall down some black whole. It was pretty pathetic to Connor that he was scared of falling off a bike. He had been through the most painful training when he was becoming a Dark Arts Professor. Why the heck was a Muggle device frightening him! He nearly jumped off the bike once he heard his old title being called. He turned over and noticed that it was Bonnie Svenska, a old Durmstrang student of his. Him and Bonnie NEVER got along when it came to talking. Connor always said the threats and Bonnie always taunted. It was the perfect relationship. He snarled and hopped off the bike, kicking it to the ground. "Blasted Muggle object" Connor said, fixing his shirt. He then turned to Bonnie, as he ignoring the fact that he had a frighten looked on his face. "Svenska" Connor replied to her. "What are you doing here?'

It wasn't often that one saw a professor around. Alice had really only seen one other, her former head of house. Bonnie wanted to laugh as she remembered the conversation. The woman had been asking her about marriage and babies. Well one of those had been checked off. But babies still weren't really in her consideration. She wanted to work a bit before that happened. But she normally wouldn't be talking to a professor she didn't get along with. Something about the job she had seemed to give her a lot more bravery than she had had in school. Bonnie stood with her arms crossed over her chest and a smirk as the professor seemed to take out his anger on the bike. "It's really not the bikes fault." Bonnie wanted to laugh as he asked what she was doing here. "I live here? Do you have a problem with that? Well not here... But Stockholm." There was nothing wrong with her being here, and she didn't have a problem with him being here either. Her [Censored by the Groundskeeper] job really had boosted her confidence.

Connor was the type of person that always had confidence. He always didn't hide his confidence and some times it came off as though he was a bit of a jerk but Connor was just proud of his past and present accomplishments. He looked at the bike and back at Bonnie. He shook his head and kicked the bike once again. "I know it isn't the bike's fault but...It just..Oh why do you care". He folded his arms and turned his back to her. He then laughed softly. Genuine laugh, it wasn't a jerk laugh. He turned to her, his features kind of..Normal and actually human. "No, there is no problem with that...I actually respect that answer". Not being a Durm Professor really changed the dude. It really changed who Connor was and he actually tried to socialize with people. "I guess, what I meant to say was, what brings you out here?"

Bonnie was incredibly used to being on guard when she was around this professor. She subconsciously reached for her wand. But, she wasn't sure if that was from being on guard because of who it was, or because of her new job. She was always on guard because of the job. It was basically her job to be on guard. As much as Soren hated it, she was usually in a bit of danger when she was doing field work. But, she had been hurt less on the job than she had been at school. Bonnie blinked as she received a response that she wasn't expecting. "Why... why do I care?" Bonnie shrugged, "Sorta my job to care about people. Sometimes. Plus, I'd really like to not vomit or faint." If a bike accident occurred, blood would most likely appear. And that wasn't going to go over well with her system. "Professor... Are you alright? I mean you haven't threatened to curse me yet." Bonnie was rather surprised and shocked. But she wasn't complaining. She was coming here to relax from getting cursed at. "Well... It's peaceful here. Work isn't so peaceful." Bonnie shrugged as she looked around the forest.

Connor was sort of in a weird state of mind. After getting a divorce from his husband of 11 years, it was kind of difficult to be rude and obnoxious. He gave a brief sigh and nodded his head, agreeing to what she was saying. It was true after all. Bonnie had been apart of the Ministry of Magic for such a long time and she even worked with David when David was working at the Ministry. Connor always knew that Bonnie was a special girl, at least from how smart she was. He then gave a small laugh, shaking his head. "I know what you means sometimes...". He then raised an eyebrow at her comment and gave a soft smile. He was expecting that question to come up. "I guess..It's been a rough few months so I suppose I have changed a bit...". He then turned towards the mountain peek and let his eyes slowly go up the trail. It wasn't that far. "How about we take a small walk? You can tell me about why your work isn't peaceful and I guess I can divulge why I am so different"

Bonnie remembered that she had been terrified of this particular professor all through out her school years. She had always been scared of getting in trouble. But the threats of being thrown out a balcony and how scary she was just made it worse. There had been seven years of that, so to see a professor not being like that was almost disturbing to Bonnie. Her eyes were wide. She had been trained to be on guard and to see strange things. She had always been on guard, but this was so strange so didn't even know where to begin with this whole change. "Did you just... laugh? And you know what I mean?" She was more than confused now. When she was used to something, she was used to it and couldn't imagine it any other way.She felt like she was being insane, going on a walk with the hated professor. But if the last months had proved anything, she knew she was more than capable of taking care of herself. "Er... alright. Are you sure you're alright? I mean I know you said things have been rough... But..." She shook her head, it was too strange to understand. "I'm on the Tactical Wand Assault Team... Things aren't peaceful." Shrugging, she realized how glad she was that her home life was peaceful.

[New RP]

So, Victoria had a plan. Now that the term was over and there was considerable time left for the next one, she had decide to try somethings out that she hadn't done before. Seeing as the woman had been in Sweden in for about six years now, it was a shame that she still hadn't seen a lot of the country. It could be attributed to her busy schedule in school, and well it could also be attributed to not having someone with whom she could do all of the exploring. Well, turns out, she now has that someone. Yes, she was going to take advantage of the fact that her best friend was around and totally force him into the crazy things of her mind. They were no longer kids, and maybe age had sobered them down a little, but she just wanted to spend some time out without worrying much of the grown up things. Bright and early in the morning, she was up and ready in a worn down shirt, some slacks and hair pulled back into a ponytail. Stuffing a bag with food stuff, she made hey way out and apparated to the location. Djurgarden. She had already asked Leander to be there a couple of days back when she had asked him if he was free, no he didn't know of the plan either. That very day she had talked with the people of Djurgarden to make the necessary arrangements.

Reaching the place, she was pleased to see that they were made. Okay, lets do it. She stood on the path, raising her hand to her forehead as she tried to see how far ahead it curved, just as the tip of the sun started becoming visible on the horizon. Beside her, two bikes rested against a tree.

When Leander agreed to meet up Tori, he never really thought much about the details. With her, one never really has to since she's always got it covered -- always. His only concern was that she can get a little... crazy. But they wouldn't be really best friends if she weren't. Ander woke up early, because she asked him to go meet her early. Mind you, he was not a morning person these days seeing as his son was hyperactive the previous night from so much sweets and it took long to get him in bed that he was utterly exhausted that he slept like a dead person. So yeah, he was a good friend for waking up even then. But anyways, he got a house elf to watch over his son and got ready for today, dressing up in a plain shirt, an old hoodie and jeans and was out the door all in the course of twenty minutes, messy hair and everything. Tori never really told him what they were doing and how to dress, but they can't be doing anything that requires more than normal garb at this ungodly hour, right? Too early.

He stopped by the cafe at the corner of the street to grab two cups of coffee and then apparated to some nearby walk route. It was a historical place, from what he's read, but he really doesn't know about it much. It hadn't taken all that long to seek her out. Leander approached Victoria with a lopsided grin, his eyes still heavy with sleep, betraying that yes he only woke up minutes ago. "I have coffee," was his good morning greeting. "Drink first. I have a hard time functioning without caffeine in my system during mornings." He couldn't help explain -- as if she didn't know that yet -- handing over a cup. "Is that what we're doing today?" he asked, pointing at the bikes. "I haven't been on a bicycle in... way too long," he revealed, sipping his warm coffee.

So, when she had made the plan of early morning, because lets face it being out in such an environment during the day would be just plain stupidity, she hadn't really factored in the whole thing about him not really waking up early these days. He was okay during their time together in school, so she had figured it would stil be the same. It was while she was standing there, waiting for him to arrive, since he was about 5-10 minutes late, did she think about what could be causing this because he was in general punctual. And then it dawned on her, of course, he had a kid. And while Rush was the cutest person ever, and seemed well behaved to her, she never knew the whole story that went between a parent and a kid, and well there has to be a reason that Ander seemed tire and cranky these days. Yup, she had noticed him in the Graduation Ceremony, and the demeanor didn't really miss her eyes. Hmm, she will have to ask him about it.

Anyways, she had been waiting for about 15 minutes now, when she saw the familiar figure of the best friend, with, of course, coffee in his hands. It made her chuckle, as he neared especially and she could see the sleepy look on his face. She grinned back at the lopsided grin he gave her, and the greeting of course. Taking the cup from him graciously, because the woman loved her coffee, she gave a chuckle. "And good morning to you too." And of course she knew the his relationship with coffee. He might be able to get up early during during school and all that, but that wasn't without the divine drink. How many times had she sat opposite him in the dining table, and watched the silent brooding over a cup in the morning. "Trust me, I am aware." She smiled, shaking her head, as she took a sip of the coffee. "This is good though, thanks." She gestured towards the one in her hand, it was the perfect blend. She usually preferred making her coffee at home because these days the cafes just didn't get it right. Maybe it is the writer's pet peeve that has been transferred to Victoria, but yes, it is true. Her eyes moved back to the bikes as he pointed at them, asking if thats what they were doing that way, and she turned back to him, nodding along the way. "Yup, we are going biking. And I don't think I even know how to ride one.." Her brows furrowed as she tried to remember. Nope, nada. Nothing here. She grinned at him. "Buut, this place is like some really interesting historic ride, which people take on bikes. I mean, I have just heard." She rolled her eyes. "But its been 6 years since I have been staying here, I just figured its high time I did some tourist-y things you know.." She paused, looking at him, as if trying to see if he understood. "All I have been doing, all WE have been doing.." She gave him a pointed glance. "..is work, work and work. Now that we finally have a short leave, why not, right? You get it, right?" She asked him, a hopeful look in her eyes. He usually got her, so she was hoping he would this time too. Her colleagues thought her to be crazy for wanting to tour around a country she was a citizen of. They usually told her to just go someplace else, maybe a new country or something. "I just don't want to get old too soon.." She finally spoke, sighing. "Or fall in a rut. So, trying something new.." She gestured to the bike, before taking a sip.
