is! As we sit at the start of the year, we are over
joyed with out new professors and many new students.

Finally,
the governors and heads of house would like to remind
students that we are now reviewing possible candidates
for Head Students and Prefects for the Fall Term. The
governors appoint a Head Girl and Head Boy per house and
the Heads of House along with the Deputy Heads of House
appoint Prefects that will work on the Junior Wizengamot
and work with the house staff to run house activities.

The Summer
Term officially ended yesterday! Today you will receive
your welcome letters via email from Hogwarts Online.
This welcome letter will be important because it
includes all the important dates for this term and all
the role play events. Please be sure and watch for that.
If your email is not correct on the forum, then change
it immediately.
Be sure to
keep active and watch for announcements in your house,
many houses are already beginning to prepare for
quidditch and are setting up their teams now. Also
remember that enrollment has been in session now for
almost a week. It is extremely important not to miss
enrollment.

It is with
extreme sadness that the governors accept Prof. Ginny
Tonks' resignation. Prof. Tonks' has done many things
for Hogwarts Online. Throughout her long tenure as
Professor she has constantly been deeply involved in all
things Hogwarts Online. When Prof. Tonks' first started
her tenure, in late August of 2005, she began as the
Muggle Studies professor, she moved quickly up the ranks
going from Department Chairperson of Muggle Studies to
Head of Gryffindor House, to Head of the Junior
Wizengamot. Prof Tonks' then took on a new project in
becoming the Department Chairperson of Charms and
teaching up to 5 classes in just that department at one
time. Amazing she never complained of the work load or
never seemed disheartened as the world around her
changed from a small role play site to a gigantic school
for magic. Prof. Tonks' has made many friends on
Hogwarts and will always be missed. Let us remember to
thank her for all of her dedication that she has given
for an entire year. Thanks Prof. Tonks!

that you may only enroll in up to 5 classes, but you
only need 3 quills to move up to the next year. Please
see the handbook Section 1 Chapter 7 by clicking

As the new
year draws nearer and near, we begin to anticipate the
new things and new people that have joined Hogwarts
Online this year. Please remember to follow all the
rules and procedures listed in the handbook because all
members of Hogwarts Online will be held responsible for

All
members are asked to remember Prof. Madison Lafoy. She
went in for surgery today. Thanks Prof. Lafoy for all
your hard work here at Hogwarts! We wish you a speedy
recovery!
The
professor application period for the Fall 2006 Term has
now closed. This is a historic moment because it is the
first time in Hogwarts history that every position has
been filled with still a lot of time remaining before
the start of the term.
I know
that I have posted this before, but now that we are much

Online has a new motto, "Concordia res parvae crescent"
which when translated from Latin means Work together
to accomplish more.
All
Professors are reminded to read the Faculty Meeting
which can be found in the staff lounge on the forum. A
reminder that this Friday around 8pm EST there will be
another faculty meeting on YIM all professors are asked
to be in attendance.

Slytherin
award. This weeks winner is a new first year, with a
name that just screams LAME. Congratulations
Outta Toone!
Outta has refused to change her name preferring to think
she is clever and very witty. Thank you Outta for
allowing us to enjoy your lame sense of humor.

has informed the governors board that she will be taking
a sabbatical (leave of absence) until the end of the
Summer Term. Until Prof. Ginny Tonks returns,
Prof.
Chauncey Clemenceau
will serve as the
Gryffindor
House Interim Head of House.
I would
like to also take this time to welcome
Prof.
Fabio Gattuso
who will
be subbing for
Prof.
Ginny Tonks'
summer term Charms class.
